I met my dear friend here for a light lunch to catch up and recognize her 50th birthday. This was…read moremy first visit to Christopher's Kitchen. We spent a couple of hours here so we had a few people assist us, but Brandon was our initial server. I inquired what his favorite dishes are and one of the items he mentioned was the avocado ginger roll. We decided to share this and each order a smoothie. However, we did make a few changes to the roll. First we axed the cucumber and mango. Next, we requested sliced strawberries. This roll was heavenly! The ingredients were ridiculously fresh and the pairing of the textures and tastes are simply dynamite. A true WOW factor! I would return for this item alone! I ordered the banana almond smoothie and the birthday gal ordered the protein star. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our smoothies. Our servers did a fantastic job taking care of our needs and our water glasses were never empty. The restaurant is extremely clean and the layout is fantastic. In fact, there is a whole other side behind the restrooms. There are two single use restrooms. Parking is first some first serve in a parking lot and credit cards are accepted. In summary, Christopher's Kitchen is great and I'll absolutely be back!

The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance--fun and laid-back, but with a touch of elevated Southern charm. The staff is always warm, friendly, and accommodating, and they consistently make us feel welcome. Their specialty cocktails are excellent--creative, well-balanced, and worth a visit all on their own. We're planning to return this Sunday for their jazz brunch, and I'll update this review afterward. Looking forward to seeing how Sassafras delivers in the daylight with live music!

You can tell the kitchen cares about ingredients and quality--from the first bite to the last. We ordered the burger, a fresh seasonal salad, and a few selections from their oyster menu, which is now one of my favorites in the area. Everything was perfectly cooked, well-balanced, and beautifully plated. The vibe is relaxed but elevated, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. We also discovered they have a happy hour menu with a great variety of options--definitely coming back to explore more of that. Sassafras strikes the perfect balance between Southern charm and modern dining. Whether you're here for cocktails and oysters or a full dinner, you're in for something special. Highly recommend!

The bartender was easy to talk to and gave a couple suggestions without making it feel like a sales pitch. Both dishes came out pretty quickly even though the place started filling up during happy hour. The bruschetta had a nice mix of sweet and savory, and the avocado toast was fresh without being overly dressed up. I liked the overall pace of the service since nobody rushed me to order more once I finished eating. It felt like a comfortable place to unwind for a bit instead of a loud crowded spot where you're trying to leave right away.

Service was also very slow, even when it wasn't busy. Everything took longer than expected and seemed disorganized. On top of that, the bartender was rude and unwelcoming. I was also charged for another person's drink without being asked or informed; which was unacceptable and felt careless. The staff seemed "blind" to how to properly run a restaurant. For the prices being charged, I expected much better food, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
