After three days of messing with the counter top .. still not done. No end in sight! A bumbling fool that doesn't know what he is doing! He spends more time on the phone and running around and he doesn't know what the meaning of work is. They had yet to finish trim, painting, hanging doors and fixtures, paint,d stopper didn't work, open plumbing access to crawlspace has allowed critters into the house. Mike PROMISED to finish the day after the order was lifted. Last communication was in May. It's now August 9th. After 5 months of waiting, my wife and I have had to take it upon ourselves to finish the remodel and are filing a lawsuit against Mid Michigan Remodel to get back what we had already paid in material and labor for the work that was never completed. Several, and I mean SEVERAL, times he sat on our couch and his cell phone would ring. He never at any time answered it or silenced it; he would just let it ring. My wife and I found it very disruptive listening to a ringing phone while we were trying to have a conversation. During the project Mike talked several times to our insurance company. That was a mistake. He continuously told us things were set with the insurance company. At the end of the project, I spoke with the insurance company and they told me that they were covering every thing except $2000 plus. Later, when I explained my conversation with the insurance company to Mike he said the insurance company was paying everything (except our deductible of $500). I explained my reservations to him, but he assured me that there would be no more out of pocket expense. After the project was done, we received an invoice from Lutz for over $2000. I was floored! The moral of the story: Don't trust everything your contractor tells you and don't let them deal with your insurance company. You're better have that dialogue yourself. I cannot find it within myself to recommend this company.

I called Mid Michigan Garage door and was so grateful that they could come out the next day to fix it. I had been parking on my driveway but had noticed that chipmunks and squirrels had been running around underneath it. They put an entirely new spring system in to redesign the system, and got rid of the old pulley system that had been used. Their quality of work was outstanding and the price was more than fair.
