Dr. Bishop cares about his work and goes above & beyond for his patients. I have terrible teeth and a big dose of dental anxiety. They took great care of me, and have ever since. I had a dental emergency right as Covid hit in March/April of 2020. I was so nervous to see any dentist. I was amazed at the investments Bishop Dental had made in order to provide a safe, clean office environment. So I decided to put my trust in them, and they still haven't let me down. I trust Dr. Bishop completely. He is a bright, kind person and a skilled dentist. He loves what he does and it shows. The staff are wonderful too, everyone is extremely kind and understanding. I know that I am in great hands with Bishop Dental. My teeth are finally getting the care they so desperately needed. This is my dentist, I wouldn't want to see anyone else! The foyer smells like a toilet. An assistant shows up... and she's sick. EW. This is beyond disgusting. I was a patient here when it used to be Woodbury Family Dental & stayed because well... I don't know? Cleanings were always fine, but I am so grossed out by the lack of hygiene. If you're working on my mouth, I don't know about other people, but I expect it to be (and smell!) clean. A sick office assistant and at least one sick patient? This isn't a GP office! Do better. The Dr. is no where in sight. I will not be staying. I cannot recommend this practice for anyone with standards. The smell, the sick people, the lateness is gross and utterly unacceptable.

The hygienists are always rushed. ALWAYS. I had several different hygienists too. I have been going there twice a year for several years. I always questioned myself WHY. It was usually not a good experience, but I figured...it's twice a year. I just put up with it. However, my opinion has now changed. I definitely won't be going back. The staff is unprofessional. Especially, the office manager. I expressed my concern about their 3% fee to use our health equity debit card for an upcoming procedure. If you don't pay via check or CASH, they charge a 3% fee. No other medical offices do this, in my experience. I use my health equity card for all of our medical expenses. When I told them I won't be coming back. The office manager was extremely rude. I just received a bill from my last appointment. I declined the option for a fluoride treatment. They charged me for it anyway. I declined it due to their added fees. I nave never paid out of pocket prior for the standard exam and x rays. They must be hurting for money. Real classy Genesis Dental! I will be fighting your bogus charge.

It was unsettling to see this. It was like watching an accident you can't keep from looking at while driving by. The lady getting work done kept looking at me, and I her. How weird is that! No privacy. This is my first time here after many false starts. The first scheduled appointment was on an early Saturday morning. I answered the many text messages that wanted me to confirm my appointment, which I did. Along with a recorded telephone message saying...are you coming to your appointment. Press 1 to confirm. Which I did. When I arrived for my Saturday appointment, the doors were locked. After waiting about a half an hour I left. No communication what so ever. I was pissed. Why then so many text/phone messages asking me to confirm?! I only reluctantly rescheduled, because the location is close to me, and my daughter really likes Dr. Loosli. I liked Dr. Loosli I guess. He's a really nice older gentleman. I can't really comment on his dental work, because I didn't have any cavities, and therefore all he did was look at my x-rays. Before I met with Dr Loosli, I had x-rays and a cleaning by his dental hygienist. Well a half assed cleaning if you want to define it as a cleaning. The dental hygienist was borderline rude, and very condescending. She said she was going to use a water pick tool instead of the normal "scraper" tool that is used to scrape the plaque off your teeth. I did not like this water pick. It happened so fast I don't think it took any thing off my teeth, if I had anything on them. I got concerned when I started smelling something burning......it smelled like burnt hair. I wonder if it was because she was in such a rush to leave for the day that she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, and burned some of my gums. Then she said "I'm only going to polish the front of your teeth." I thought to myself WTH. Why wouldn't you polish all of my teeth? and that was that. When she was done with the cleaning I said "That was the fastest, less evasive cleaning I've ever had in my entire life. Which is every six months for years and years. She just ignored me. When Dr Loosli came in the room he talked quite a long while before he got down to the business of my teeth. I told him about how fast my "cleaning" was, he didn't know what to think about that. He looked at my x-rays and my chart, and commented that the dental hygienist didn't leave any comments on my chart. I asked him if that was normal, and he said "Maybe because you don't have any cavities that's why she didn't write anything on your chart. He talked some more and I left. The whole thing was weird.

When I asked their answer was that it is just routine practice, and if I go against their routine practice( not let them do what they want) I should go some place else; however, this unnecessary radiation exposure to my children and Bluffdale Dental routine practice should had been explained to us before it was done to my children and not after the fact. I also asked how often children gets panoramic x-ray the doctor said about every 5 years ( assistant said every 3 to 5 years) then I asked if they had requested dental records to see last time it was done since my children are new to them( their first visit) they said NO! this is so unacceptable! what if the other dentist got this done recently; Bluffdale dental did not care enough to know this information to protect my children against unnecessary radiation exposure which can be harmful to their health. Not a sincere apology or any effort to understand the client's point of view. I am devastated. As far as the visit went my children were very impressed with how well the staff treated them.

When I showed up to my appointment I was met by Dr. Proctor who was apparently a few years out of dental school. I had to laugh and I explained to him I asked for the seasoned dentist upfront due to my fear of all things dentistry and wished us both luck. He was AWESOME! His personality is hilarious. He would joke when I needed a joke. Made me feel comfortable from minute one. We are many appointments, fillings and crowns in and he is still my all time favorite dentist and I've had many in my nearly sixty years. And now, having been there a few different times, I have had nothing but very positive experiences. Walking in, you are greeted by Kenzie at the front desk, she is so friendly and inviting that you almost forget that you are at the dentist. The office itself is very clean, and pleasant, creating a very nice waiting atmosphere. Dr. Hardin and the hygienists do a great job at making you feel taken care of and like they have your best interest at heart. And they are very transparent with cost and all of your options. I definitely would recommend!

No explanation for the delay. I got up and slowly walked out in full view of three people behind the reception desk. Nobody asked me if I was leaving or if I was coming back. That was my husband's experience here. We finally stopped going when I started having tooth pain from one of their fillings, and they brought a little model in to show me how a filling can end up being too deep in the tooth so the tooth splits, and how I needed a crown. Afterwards when I was left in the booth to think about the options they had given me, I realized that I could overhear the doctor giving the person in the next booth the same exact explanation, and I remembered that this is the reason my husband was given for needing crowns. I've never had this type of damage happen from any other fillings I've had from other dentists, so it's astounding that it happens so often with this practice. My next dentist just shaved the filling down to match my bite better, and it's been fine. He was also able to reapply my husband's crowns in a way that kept them in place for a couple of years, now. I was reminded of our experience here by a recent conversation, and judging by reviews the miss-handling is ongoing so I thought I'd add my piece to save the teeth of others.
