The massage was not either Swedish or deep tissue, or was it a combo? I am not sure. The lady was doing a hard as I requested but it was a rough massage. Then, after she offered us a small cup of water, which we never drank, and said the tip should be a minimum of $20$, there was a signboard. I bought a voucher from Groupon. I purchased an offer on Groupon because services were available in Mukilteo or Everett. When I called to make my appointment, I was advised that Mukilteo does not accept the Groupon offer. That was disappointing. Spa staff was very flexible in moving my appointment date and times more than once. There seemed to be a language barrier in the room. The person at the front desk asked me what I like to focus on during the massage, and though I was specific in answering this question, somehow that information was not relayed to the person providing the massage. 20 minutes after starting, I asked the person performing the massage when they would get started on my requested area. They. had to go back out to the front desk and ask that person to come into the room to communicate with me. The pictures on the Groupon offers page are deceiving. Though probably more hygienic, I was surprised to see paper towels used on the face rest instead of clean, real towels. read more

I got a Groupon for a couples massage and was actually so impressed! We both left feeling amazing and super relaxed. The space itself isn't anything too special- it's in an office building and there is some construction noise, we were able to tune this out after a few minutes. The rooms are pretty basic- nothing fancy but your eyes are closed anyways so it doesn't matter a ton. The massages were divine! I added on a salt scrub that left my back super soft and my boyfriend got cupping which he loved. He said his back has never felt better. I asked for more focus on my neck and shoulders and definitely got the attention I needed. For the price, you really can't beat it! Nothing super luxurious or over the top, but if you want to feel better then this is the spot. I believe they will honor the current Groupon price if you call to book as well. So accommodating with appointments, serene rooms, calming background music, lots of parking, and great masseurs. Not to mention the Groupon price of less than $50 (even lower deals at times) for 55 minutes, which is a steal. Adding the warm sea salt scrub for $20 is highly recommended. Tip: If you have a super tight back (I massage my partner most of the week due to his recent surgery), see Lulu. She messed up my back in the BEST way!!! I bought a Groupon coupon for this massage therapy and tried this place 2 times to get a decent evaluation. The first massager was very skilled and was relieved of a lot of knots. The second massage at another time I went, wasn't as great. He would leave the door wide open and while I was draped, I could hear the conversation at the front desk. I had a reservation with my wife and I and i thought i only needed the conformation number on the cover page? She told me i needed the barcode page which i threw away. I was told without the barcode she would not honor the groupon. You would think see could look up the reference number to see if was me? This is an AMAZING massage therapy spa. I found found them through a Groupon in 2019. I went back this week (2023) and have found that they improved more than I ever would have asked for. I fire went to them when I was 20. I remember being nervous because I had never gotten a massage before. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. Now, at 24 years old I feel even more grateful. I just went there today, I felt very unsafe and disrespected as a girl. (Plus they only gave 45 mins for a 55 mins massage. But this is not the worst thing. ) Iit's a half body naked spa. they sent a guy massager in the room next to me without letting me know, and I feel super weird and nervous the whole time. One time my massager accidentally exposed my full back body, another time she was trying to flip me (and my breast will show), I rejected but she didn't understand why. I also see her smiling at the guy massager. This never happened in my past spa experiences, and I just feel super uncomfortable and anxious. Regarding the massage quality, some part of it was good, some was just ok, I wish they can focus on the part I told them to focus more. (They only did it shortly) read more

Instead, they forced an add-on that I had very clearly declined, pulled unnecessarily hard on my arms at weird angles to the point where it was incredibly painful on my joints, spent an alarming amount of time seemingly grabbing my butt (I'd be hard pressed to call it a massage- and my partner did not have his butt touched once. I've had a lot of massages and have never had my butt grabbed and squeezed.), left the door to the room wide open during our massage, did not put any sort of sound or music on in the room so we spent nearly an hour listening to 2 men heavily breathing over us, and to finish the experience- the front desk lady loudly hassled me for a tip and was nasty to me when I declined. Tips are for good service.. this was not good service. There are plenty of nice locations nearby to get a massage by people who know how to give a massage.. please go to literally any other place. read more

The massage itself was good; we went in for a couples appointment but had to wait 30mins in the dimly lit, dusty & fraying, small entryway before getting back the our room. Once we got the paperwork to fill out we noticed the spa name at the bottom didn't match the name 'Rose spa', rather it was for 'Breeze spa' (and the guy worked there said nothing when we brought it up.) The room we were in was pretty lack luster, the decor looked thrown together and the back of the door was stained/unappealing (although walking through we noticed the other rooms were nicer and more put-together.) Started off terribly with their rude attitudes rushing me to pick a massage and pay up first. They lie about their Groupon expiring so that you pay more in person, not to mention the sign that says tips are mandatory and should at LEAST be $20. The massage was more like pushing down hard on different parts of my body or yanking my limbs and fingers. I felt like human play doh. The man doing the massage kept leaving in between to get the hot stones from another room and would leave the door open so I felt exposed to the hallway/front desk area! When it was over the store was quick to run me out the door as if they were bothered by my presence. They gave me nasty looks but were quick to take my tip. Very disappointing. I tried this place twice, with two different people, to give it a fair shot. What they pass off as a "massage" is basically what you get in a nail salon : rub the leg up and down, rub the back up and down, etc. THEN they both pulled my arms behind my back and pushed on the shoulders. VERY painful. Also, crossed my ankle over my knee and pushed down on the knee... also very Painful. (Maybe they were trying to stretch the joints??) I've had a lot of massages in my life and I found the practitioners at Rose Spa excellent -- they really knew muscle anatomy and gave my mother and I excellent deep tissue messages. I was actually surprised as I recognized this humble spot as delivering one of the best massages Ive ever had. The location is not super fancy, but clean and acceptable. The price is fair, affordable, and a good value. I opted for the add on hot stone and my mother opted for add on the cupping. We agreed that the extra service and cost was good and well worth it. Really great massage place! My friend and I got a Groupon for a couples massage and booked at appointment with the Spa over the phone. It's a bit of a drive from Seattle, especially if you're going during rush hour, but pretty worthwhile in my opinion. One thing to note is that if you book it as a couple's massage, you're both going to be in the same room (and there's no changing area), so make sure you're comfortable with the other person you're going with! The massage itself is great --both massage therapists are really attentive and make sure to massage you thoroughly. We booked 80-minute massages I think(?) and they were consistent throughout the entire duration! My friend also said that they targeted our pressure points and seem to specialize in it. Also something to note, my massage therapist was male and I'm female, but at no times did I ever feel awkward. Really great place, and I highly recommend! My friend and I both felt great afterwards. We had just come from our first session at a gym (after not working out for ~1 year), so I think having massages right after probably helped with the soreness we would have otherwise experienced! read more

She will tell you that there is a discount or special going on & give you one price when you walk in the door, then after your massage ends act as if the conversation never happened & gaslight you into thinking you made it all up. In my case, it was a mother's day special discount... feels weird & gross to pull a scam like this on mother's day after asking & finding out your customer is a mother? I also explained to her when I came in that I had a budget so by lying to me she left me without the extra $20 in cash i had & expected to use for a tip. I would have gotten a different service if she had been honest about the prices so I could also afford a tip, but instead she lied & made more money, her employee got nothing & I paid all that I had anyways.... It all just felt very weird & scammy. The place is also super dirty & did not feel sanitary. I had to peek my head out of my room after laying down on the bed & discovering a sh*t ton of sand from the customer before me. I had them change the sheets in front of me but honestly I should have just left then. I wish i had listened to other reviews describing similar experiences of the owner lying about prices.
