Unfortunately really bad. I paid for the back massage and head spa combo. The massage therapist only did one repetitive movement again and again on my back. I had to ask her to move to a different spot after half the massage. Then the head spa was not a head spa. She vigorously scrubbed my scalp with the pointed scalp tool for 2 shampoos. And then a quick conditioner with the same scalp tool. There was no massage of the head, temples, no different tools that they use in other head spa places. She "massaged" my shoulder back area again during the head spa but it was so rough that I am still sore 3 days later. I frequently get massages including Thai massages, Swedish, head, etc. There was no technique at all. Do not be mislead. The prices are cheap but there's a reason. read more

Very unassuming place from the outside, the inside is also pretty minimally decorated but very well-maintained and clean. I was able to get in on a same-day appointment. The communication was great, even though she had to move my appointment to an hour later. Everything started on time. Right off the bat she asked me what kind of pressure I preferred, I said "moderate to firm" but I think she only heard the "moderate" part cause that was all I got the entire session. I kept thinking she would increase the pressure, but lesson learned next time I'd just reiterate rather than waiting for it to happen lol. Regardless the lower pressure, she did a miraculous work on me, and most probably combined with the healing CBD oil that was used for the massage. She definitely knows what she's doing. Instead of a normal full body massage, I think she focused on some concentrated parts of my body in a lymphatic drainage massage manner. The most notable thing was my knee pain from an old injury and also a bad posture. I had been feeling some weakness and mild pain when walking up the stairs prior to the massage. Afterwards, I was able to walk up the stairs with a brand-new knee haha. Plus, the hot stones felt great in relaxing all those stiff muscles! Pricewise, you can find some Groupon deals but in comparison, they aren't really noticeable savings. It's a little bit of a drive for me, but considering the result I got from just one massage, there's no question that it's worth the distance. This wasn't the worst massage I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't the best -- and the biggest disappointment was the customer service. From the start, the woman at the front desk was impersonal and unwelcoming. She didn't introduce herself or greet us, just told us to stay seated until they were ready. When it was time, she barely spoke, simply leading us to a room, pointing to a basket, and telling us to undress. Still, no introductions. The massage itself was just okay. The pressure was very light, and they never asked about our problem areas, so it wasn't as effective as it could have been. At the end, the woman brought us water. When we offered a tip, she became irritated and asked for more. Even after we gave her more, she insisted it still wasn't enough and demanded a 20% tip. After we complied, she didn't say "thank you" or invite us to return -- just walked away. They demanded a tip but did nothing to earn it. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Had a great first experience here for the ultra relaxing head spa treatment. The building is really unassuming and minimally decorated, but comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional. I called to make appointments for myself and two of my friends and they were able to get us in the same afternoon (2 at a time as there's room for two at a time). I don't think my head/hair has ever been so clean, it's like I can feel all of my hair like it is more "separated" now and it can breathe. One of my friends said her scalp feels "alive" now. I got an hour head spa and it was so amazing! They massaged my temples and head thoroughly. The products for washing made my hair so soft and shiny afterwards. I normally have thick wavy hair that I usually get permanently straightened but this is a great alternative with less chemicals and less expensive. Person answering the phone tried to say they were too busy at my requested time, but I could tell he was a bit hesitant giving me an appointment since I mentioned I had a Groupon. Nonetheless, he was able to give me a time slot close to my requested time. I had a 60 min CBD oil massage. Red Leaf had caught my eye since I've never had a CBD oil massage before. Unfortunately, I didn't notice much of a difference with the CBD oil. Lisa still gave me a really good massage. Room and the bathroom was relatively clean. I made a same day appointment for one hour. I had 40 min full body and 20 min foot massage. I had a private room and there was nice music playing. I heard some ambient noise but the music helped. Wonderful little spa and massage place in the Lynnwood and Edmonds area. Service and massage was great and very holistic and therapeutic. They have the spa scalp massage where they lay you in a bed with water shower on the head part and they massage your scalp and neck and blow dry your hair after, no styling so expect that. It's a not a salon. They have spa packages if you want to avail of their services. Prices are fairly reasonable. The only, comment I have is the awkward question they ask how much tip you want to put in the card. To me that should be an option for the customer and payment machine should be visible so customers can determine on their own how much tip to give. read more

I came here for the Yelp reviews but it was quite literally the worst massage of my life. Close contenders include the facial where I was repeatedly slapped in the face and a prenatal massage where I was just lathered in lotion like a seal. Have you ever leaned on your hand too long and lost all feeling? The person working on my back had dead hands. He was rough and shallow with my back. He made rapid strokes like he was aggressively scrubbing me down with an old loofah sponge. When he played Patty Cake Patty Cake on my back, I literally laughed aloud. I am giving 1 star for whatever delicious, warm lotion was used and the hot rocks. I wish someone who cared rubbed the lotion into my back properly. I am a single mom and a teacher. I think I got misled by some blogger about this place for the service I was looking for. according to the blog, it's supposed to be Vietnamese style hair spa. but it was not. i should have double-checked with the therapist beforehand on how it goes and what steps there are. but i didn't. the massage part is way less than the head massage I get during my facial. even less than hair wash at any aveda salon. It's mainly about using a sharp plastic comb, combing over and over. I didn't see the comb being sanitized either. the worst part is it's sharp. and it was literally burning hot when my hair was being blown dry. my scalp was hurting from time to time. I gotta dodge to save myself. but was too much a chicken to speak up. that's why i only dare to talk here, no face to face... i really don't like that it's a unisex shared room with curtain in the middle and i gotta act like i'm sneaking in it. also needed to change in there. oh, how much i miss my facial place and aveda salons! was not told there would be a fee of a couple of bucks until it's time to pay. didn't really wanna tip based on above experience. but was asked "how much you tipping?" before swiping my card. and i didn't dare to say what's really going on in my mind... read more

Second time in to Red Leaf Massage and both experiences were very nice. I had the one hour Swedish massage which includes hot stones-heavenly! The outside of this business might make you pause but the massage rooms are clean and quiet. My masseuse (Lola) got right to work with no idle chit chat so I could spend the full hour relaxing. A couple of comments on the pricing-there is a slight extra fee if you use a credit card. I was also informed after my massage that the minimum gratuity was 20% which I didn't see posted anywhere. I've been coming here for almost two years now (except during COVID lockdown) and Anna has always delivered since day one! I have chronic back pain that requires very deep tissue massage. Anna is the only one who can relieve that pain. I'm broken and she fixes me. Plus, you cannot beat the reasonable pricing for their services. They actually did a test pressure on my butt that was too hard. So they adjusted. - No smells- Personally I like aroma therapy, but I know a number of people with smell sensitivities. Mandy has been my therapist for a long time, she is definitely the most caring and knowledgeable therapist in Asian massage field. She really knows how to treat your muscles and get them relaxed. Recommend everyone to get a massage after a long week of work, the headache and stresses will be vanished after treating by her healing hands. I never post negative reviews but what ever lady just massaged me was terrible. I do a lot of foot massages and have been here before with great experiences, this time was a joke. First they upped their prices to $45 for an hour foot massage which is fine, pretty standard you get a quick front body then long foot and quick back massage. She was very stern only foot spent about 45 minutes on my feet mostly rubbing my bones with her knuckles (did not feel good) didn't touch my back at all. You could tell she didn't want to be at work or massaging people (so don't). Needless to say I tipped poorly because it kinda sucked she dead stopped me once I left I figured I left something nope... she said what is this? And pointed to my tip and said tip is 20%! I said no it's what I chose to give then she got loud OK OK threw her hands up in the air I tried to speak to tell her price was high and it wasn't a good massage but she just got louder and pointed me out!!! My full body massage was focused on restoring energy and circulation (think rubbing instead of kneading). Hips, legs arms, skull and stomach. It was $60 for 60 minutes, and they accept all major credit cards. If you are new to Chinese massage, here are a few things to expect for this full body massage : -You will need to be unclothed. This was literally the greatest massage I have EVER had. I've gotten massages all around the world, and this was truly the best one. They were friendly, caring, and very good at what they do.
