She was kind to answer my questions like "Do I need an x-ray?" and "how much is it per visit?" Dr. Blue is awesome! She makes you feel comfortable right from the beginning and is always happy to address any questions (or misconceptions!) in a friendly, but matter-of-fact way. Her cash plan is truly affordable and truly shows that she cares for her customers by keeping costs low. (My wife now visits her too!) Her availability is also fantastic with open adjusting hours 4 days a week. I can see her before or after lunch, which is great since my schedule varies. The ambulance took my mother to the ER on Wednesday, Oct 1 around 5pm because of respiratory…read moredistress. I met her there. An X-ray showed a diagnose of bronchitis. So, The er doc wanted her admitted around 7:30pm after all her tests came back and she had no access to oxygen at her home. There was a delay because the hospitalist (Dr Mosby) needed to get a report before admission--but she was not responding to calls. Then the ER doc decided in the meantime to do a CAT scan of her lungs. The test came back positive for pneumonia (that the X-ray missed I guess) but he had left for the evening. Now another ER doc (Dr Hastie) had to change the diagnosis before she could be admitted. Hes been here for almost 2 hours now and no updating of the chart. However, it's now almost midnight and she's still in the ER (now for close to 7 hours) and still no movement. This is very poor management. I hope it's better care once she's admitted!

Dept. called me as well as Dr. Israel, Stephen F., updating me of my son's current condition and their plan to Life Flight him. This team is amazing! After he landed the Life Flight Team called me to update and to say they landed giving me the next person's name that will take over care. Again, AMAZING TEAM the Emergency Department has there. Thank you to Nurse Denise,Dr. Israel, and the many others that were involved. Don't be fooled because it's a small place, they have a BIG HEART!

I also have seen the budtenders looking things up for customers who have questions despite a line of people waiting to check out. In my opinion, if the staff wasn't great, I would drive to Marion.
