Renee, as a registered dietician and nutritionist, is so knowledgable about the human body and it's correlation to dietary needs as well as the psychological correlation to food, dieting, well-being, etc - which, aside from the actual dietetic aspect of the plan, are such crucial pieces when trying to figure out the best plan 'for you'. She not only has the expertise mentioned above, but most importantly (IMO) is compassionate, nonjudgemental, caring, and really wants to see you succeed. If you have an issue (pray you never do) you will have to work with an overseas third party biller that will not communicate with you about issues they're having until you've been charged $650 for weeks of appointments that have not been paid by your insurance due to an improper billing code and you reach out to them in a panic. You will then have to call your insurer, resolve the issue for them, download all of your EOB, dispute missing invoices from the biller, get on multiple phone calls, and email threads and spend hours getting their billing issues resolved for them so that you can be refunded. You will also not want to see said dietician that you loved so much anymore because the billing experience was so awful.

From there I booked an appointment with Lara with the hopes that she'd give me some more healthy suggestions of what to feed Miss Picky and mealtimes would stop becoming a battle. Since our first meeting over a month ago I've used so many of her meal and snack suggestions and am so pleased w/ the way my kids are eating. Unlike his sister my 2 year old has always been a very good eater, but it's even been helpful when it comes to feeding him. I like that Lara is realistic. My daughter absolutely refuses to eat any fruit so she's told me there's no need to try giving it to her. She also completely understands that I don't have the time nor the desire to cook, yet still has ways for my kids to eat healthy without cooking. For those who do like to cook there are some great recipes on her website...and her pinterest page is full of helpful info whether you cook or not. I had a follow-up meeting w/ Lara this week and feel like we've already made so many improvements (thanks to her), yet I still came home with new meal/snack ideas from our time together. To put it into perspective, it was 7 months post surgery before I could even walk on a treadmill. By the time I got to Dr. Gus, I thought I was done being active even though I was just in my mid 20s. But through treatments with Dr. Gus and Apllied Wellness's feasible Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments, I was able to become more than active again as a healthy, athletic adult. Dr. Gus was recommended to us by a member of our same church who told us what a wonderful doctor he was and how his nutritional and health based treatments significantly improved his medical condition. My son started meeting with Dr. Gus twice weekly for hyperbaric oxygen treatments to help improve his immune system and monthly with Dr. Gus for chiropractic treatments. Within 1-2 months of his initial appointment, my son's speech significantly improved in both the quantity of language that he used and in the complexity of his language.
