Purchased a "smelly bear" from Rose the Candlemaker , this weekend at Coronado HS Craft fair. I'll be gifting it to my mom for Christmas..It's adorable..and seriously, you'd NEVER know it was wax...it LOOKS legitimately soft and fluffy. I selected the Christmasy-scent...I believe my mom will love it! read more

Amazing. She makes everything her self. Smelly animals wax air fresheners that last 5years. Novelty molded candels in the shapes of almost anything you can think of. Scented candels that you burn. Or dont in jars with warmers. Even the wax potpourri that you melt for smell. She made the carved candels for my wedding. And now I live in kansas city. Im actualy a hair stylist and make up artist by trade. I do alot of photo shoots. And when ever we want candels in them she is the one I call. My favorite by far has been the watter fantasy. I think now she only dose them by special order. But totaly worth paying for. They are delicate works of work with your choice of center pice. Soy. Palm. And high tempature no drippy candels are the best. This is the one stop for anything made of wax. read more

Rose the Candlemaker has been making candles and wax products for about 40 years. Our Studio is open by appointment. Please call text or email before stopping by. Specializing in Carved Candles and Wedding Candles along with unique products like Smelly Bears (wax air freshners), Gnome Home Candles (Tree Stump Candles), Natural Beeswax Lotion Bars, Memorial Candles with Photos, and Wax Melts We also make many Traditional Candles both Scented and Unscented, free standing in unique shapes and in jars. Handmade for you in the USA in our Studio.

History

Established in 1980.

Rose the Candlemaker trained with a master candlemaker. After 3 years, the candlemaking became full time starting with craft shows and mall shows. Then there was a switch to doing Renaissance Festivals and traveling across the country. These included the Colorado Renaissance Fair, Minnesota Renaissance Fair, Arizona Renaissance Fair, Texas Renaissance Faire, Kansas City Renaissance among others through the years, the shop there was know as Wax Werks by Rose the Candlemaker. 2014 found us becoming more Local, replacing Renaissance Fesstivals with Craft Shows in Colorado. Then we created a Studio with hours by appointment. Here we make candles and have a showroom for you to visit. Every year we have an Open House and Gift Sale in Dec., serving Cookies and fresh Roasted coffee.

By far the best candles I have ever had. I almost always have at least one burning in my room. Chocolate kiss ones that my room mate had were bomb! I also really enjoyed these cookie scented ones. And a bunch of cinnamon-ie pie/candy ones over Christmas. Apple and pear are really good. Not to mention and I hate to say this because I'm a dude. But the one called "passionate kisses" I got my mom a "smelly frog" scented like that this year. Can't believe how much it makes one room smell good with out having to light anything. This is your one stop shop for all things wax. She told me "it's what I do instead of working" But don't let this little lady fool you. She and her husband work there buts off for such great products. Best candles in the world. Go see her. Or buy online.! read more

I cannot say enough nice things about this lady and her candles. They are the best. The burn time are forever long. I will never buy from another store again. They smell strong (but not over powering) on warm days my house smells amazing. And the sent last down to the last drop. If there's ever an issue.... Like my dog spilling it on the table/walls/floor/clothing. And how to get it out of that and the dogs fur. read more
