I have only taken the level 1 classes and open classes but they move quickly enough without you feeling like you are left behind. The space just opened so the machines are clean and new plus after each class you wipe them down with cleaning solution so things should stay that way. Oh, and the studio is down the driveway of the house, the garage holds the space for private classes while the group classes are held down the driveway and to the right tucked in the basement apartment.

I was excited to see a new locally-owned pilates spot near my home and I signed up for a monthly membership that included mat and reformer Pilates on October 28, 2025. I have over 500 hours of reformer Pilates experience including private lessons and group lessons. I also weigh roughly 300 lbs. I've never had an issue at any other studio. I attended four reformer classes in November and received no feedback or corrections from the instructor during any of these classes. Then, the instructor/owner Kait began texting me to block me from attending additional classes. She told me I could not attend Reformer Flow or Reformer Sculpt, stating they "required approval." This was never disclosed during signup or on the website. When I signed up for Mat Pilates, she cancelled it, texting: "I'm not confident we can safely accommodate in that room with the current spacing." She wrote "Our mat room is very tight with only a few inches between mats and I always wish we had more space." I ultimately learned that my body size meant I wouldn't be allowed to take classes here. What made it especially painful was that when the texts started, I went in to discuss the situation in person. Even after that conversation, where I was told I'd have access to classes, I was still shut out. Kait asked me to pause my membership until they create a "modification-friendly class option" sometime in the future. With no classes available to me, I requested cancellation. I sat with this for several weeks before posting. I'd hoped the studio would at least update their website so future members would know about these restrictions upfront. They haven't. I'm sharing my experience so someone else might be spared this embarrassment and pain.

She is so patient, understanding, kind and intelligent - I've learned a lot of new movements and the exercises have really helped me with my posture and core strength. The equipment is all top-notch, clean and cared for. Shasta also does group mat Pilates classes and barre classes too which are at a lower price point. My back had gone into a major spasm and I needed deep tissue work done and I had called Inward Bound Wellness on short notice. Steven had created an opening for me as we spoke on the phone. He fit me in and worked out the spasm, as we were going through the massage Steven asked me questions about my recent activities. He pin pointed a few muscles and explained what their use was for and I was able to figure out what caused the spasm. The previous day we were moving and I had carried by myself a large tube tv up 17 stairs sideways and from his decriptions of what each tweaked muscle and how it works allowed me to pinpoint the cause. It had been 5 years since my first experience of Bikram, practicing yoga in a super hot space; so I was excited in anticipation to experience such a thing again. It was wonderful to witness my growth and understand the relativity of time and its challenges both becoming easier while remaining the same. Jay does a great job at describing each form (Asana) and Breath (Pranayama) and pushing you to the next level safely while also giving you permission to simply stay with it in whatever fashion you deem necessary.
