One immediately gets the feeling that THIS is the right place for their loved one. The staff sincerely care about their residents and do everything they possible can to make their new residents feel welcome and at home. Vista Roseville is the perfect size community. The staff get to know all of the residents and they become like family. The residents have many opportunities to do activities and participate in several special events that are held throughout the year. This is truly the place where your loved one, who can no longer live at home, can come and feel safe, have things to do, have a clean place to live, have wonderful meals, make new friends and thrive. None of the other places I toured gave me this feeling. This is why I chose Vista Roseville first for my aunt when she could no longer live on her own. She spent the last 11 years of her life here until she finally passed away at 101 years old. When my dear mother could no longer live on her own, Vista Roseville was the ONLY place that came to mind. Moving my mother into Vista Roseville was THE RIGHT CHOICE and THE ONLY CHOICE. If you want the best place for your loved one to live, Vista Roseville is that place.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Please don't place your loved one here. My mom went…read moreseveral months with a broken toilet. The management and maintenance man tried blaming it on her. The maintenance man told her to place her used paper in the garbage can. Come to find out the maintenance man had turned the waterflow down on the toilets. His own words were he thought the pressure was to high. They feed their residents over cooked chicken nuggets, not nutrious meals. My mom wears a pendant to press for help when she falls. She fell and laid on the floor for over half an hour. When she broke a glass lamp she requested help to clean it up. They picked up the large pieces and put them in a box and left the box on the floor. They didn't even sweep up the shards of glass. When she signed up we clarified that she would be able to go places and on trips. The director said it wouldn't be a problem. Come to findout that's not true. The director had her moved to lockdown. She said it was because my mom was getting into Uber cars. I couldn't take my mother to an appointment so i told her to go ask the lady at the reception desk to help her book a ride. She took a taxi to her appointment and returned to the facility. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up. Once you have signed they will nickel and dime you for everything. She moved in last July. We were sent a letter to increase her rent in January. We complained and they ended up not increasing the rent. We were just sent another letter saying if the residents wanted to keep tv services they will have to pay $50.00 a month. When you sign the contract they tell you it's included. This is the only entertainment for some of the residents who are bed bound. Please keep looking. Don't place your loved one here. My brother and I are trying to get our mom out. The facility is making it impossible.

NOT THE TERRACES OF ROSEVILLE. This location is beautiful, the staff is caring, and I have never heard anything short of loving, caring comments from the team. Don't get me wrong, a couple of staff members are aloof, but most do not have regular contact with those currently housed here. My GG is 102 and has been here for years. I firmly believe that the assistance of the Terraces Team, up to and including their stringent rules on COVID-19 visitations, made this a very safe place for all elderly loved ones. I can only hope that when I am old and gray, I will have a group of people who love their job and the people they work with so much that I am taken care of like this.

My grandpa loves the food, and there is always activities and social events happening. Everything from monthly road-trips to special music guests. They really put forth the effort to make things fun for the residents. We toured other homes, but The Terraces stood out to us because of their clear communication and transparency. They have gone above and beyond for my grandpa since day one, they even sent someone out to West Sacramento to meet with him when he was in the hospital for physical rehab. It was very stressful looking for a new home for him, but we are very happy we chose The Terraces for this new chapter of his life. They encourage him to be independent, but are still right there in case he needs assistance. Couldn't ask for more!

While his nurse was kind, she did not advocate for him when it mattered most. My dad was in severe pain from prostate cancer, and despite repeatedly telling them his medication wasn't working, Bristol ignored his pleas. Anyone who has watched a loved one die knows that no one in that situation asks for more medication "for fun." About a year into care, Bristol abruptly dropped my dad in the middle of his hospice journey. Before doing so, they told me they weren't taking away his driver's license, yet shortly after we received notice in the mail that they had. When I called to ask about it, they insisted they had told me beforehand--which was untrue. This deception not only stripped my dad of something deeply meaningful to him, it also eroded any trust we had in their care. As a social worker, I know what healthy, dignified care should look like. The way Bristol treated my dad--ignoring his pain, failing to advocate, and being dishonest about critical matters--was borderline abusive. Withholding effective pain management from a dying patient is unacceptable.
