This is an excellent home care agency. By far the absolutely the best we have used. Prior to using HomeCare Assistance, we used 4 different agencies. It was felt that all they cared about was to provide whatever caregiver was available. They did very little to try to match our needs. Most of them were so unqualified to help the need of my father. They did the bare minimum. My Mom can be a tough cookie and none of these caregivers could work with her. Most of them were so thin skinned. Calling the office did very little. This put so much stress on my family. I would give these agency a 1 maybe a 2 star. Now HomeCare Assistance has been complete opposite. Everyone has been so caring and helpful. The owners Debbie and David have come over many many times to check on things. They have been so selective on the caregivers. These caregivers have been so caring and helpful that I have been amazed. They are extremely well trained and qualified. What a difference! Their son Ryan has been incredibly helpful. In the middle of the night he has come over when we needed unexpected help. He has come to the ER when my father needed to be seen and sat with my Mom. Both David and Ryan have driven 2 hrs to meet me at my office to discuss my parents needs. They wanted to have an open communication with me to make sure they are doing all they can not just for my Dad but also my Mom. The office staff have also been great. We've had Roseville Home Care Assistance provide care for my parents for the last 2 plus years and have provided us a great service. The idea and my promise to my parents was to keep them in their own home for as long as possible. Home care assistance provided that opportunity. Between Alicia, and Ryan's management they worked hard to get us the "right fit" help and provided the upmost in flexibility. Lets just say my parents are no where near the easiest to deal with and can be demanding. The communication was always good. Any concerns or observations were past forward keeping us abreast of my parents condition and was quick to recommend altered working hours and any care giver adjustments that benefited my parents needs. Like any assistance we settled in with some excellent care givers through this business. I'd like to thank and highly rate Kim, and Ivy in there work and unbounded honest care and concern for my parents. This is not easy work nor for just any type of employee. It takes a special level of commitment to work in this field as I have learned and seen first hand. Home Care Assistance of Placer County is Great! We have been using their service since February for 24 hour care seven days a week. The Waddell's who are the owners are very kind, caring people! I typically will find one or more family members at the office when I stop by to pay the bill or for another reason. They always want to know how everything is going. From time to time they stop by to see how things are going. On my father's 95th birthday Debbie Waddell stopped by to wish my father happy birthday, brought some beautiful cupcakes and visited with him. When my father was not doing well and the caregiver could not take my father out in order to be able to drive my mother to appointments; Karen, an office employee was so kind as to take my mother to a hair appointment and on another occasion Kathy Waddell took my mother to a dental appointment when she had an unexpected dental problem. And they have found wonderful care people for my parents! The Waddell's and their employees are really a great team! My family greatly appreciates Home Care Assistance! read more

My 98 year old Mother still lives in her own home and has a care giver from Home Care Assistance 4 hours a day 5 days a week. My Mom's care giver does grocery shopping, prepares meals ahead of time...including enough for her to microwave on the weekends...makes sure she takes her meds which I prepare for her, and has enough supplies, and does a little light house cleaning. She also reads to my Mom who has macular degeneration. Of the 4 home care services (over a dozen care givers in as many years), that I've had for my Mom over the years, Home Care Assistance is by far the best...as is the care giver from Home Care Assistance. They're a hands-on company who truly cares about their clients!! We just love them to pieces!! read more

HCA has been a wonderful partner to help us with our mom's care. She is 93 years young, but doesn't drive and needs help around the house. They have been incredibly attentive to her needs and finding the right caregiver match for mom. They do constant check in's with us and mom to make sure she is happy and getting all the help she needs. It gives my mom (and the family) such peace of mind! Their billing system is incredibly timely and accurate which was a huge problem in the past with another company. They also make it very comfortable when we have feedback or have any issues with a caregiver (which have been minimal). I have been using them to provide care for my mother for almost a year. They have been outstanding. At one point while I was working out of the country for a month the caregiver we had for my mother suffered a non work related injury and had to stop working.
