Elsie pays excellent attention to the individual care and needs of each horse to ensure proper care. The turnout situation is one of the best I have seen among various boarding facilities. Horses hooves are even picked by staff after they have been outside. Feed quality is great- horses are fed as much as they need and have individualized feeding plans that are adjusted as needed. The barn is quiet and peaceful. There is never traffic in the arena and the property is well-maintained. There is little tolerance for drama and Elsie ensures that the dynamic at the barn (whether it is staff or boarders) stays pleasant and professional. If you are looking for quality care, a quiet and kind social dynamic, and a beautiful place to spend time with your horse, Wild Rose Farm is a great option.

The horses well being is prioritized and that is apparent through the peacefulness of the horses. Elsie is helpful and very intelligent in her horsemanship as well as her processes. It's nearly impossible to find barns in the PNW with much turnout due to the mud, but at Elsie's place the horses have ample room to explore and be horses for a while each day, and then there stalls have large open windows on both sides so the horses can observe the goings ons. Very much recommend Wild Rose Farm.

I was looking for a place to see about a riding lesson for my wife and I as she used to ride horses as a child and not at all in the past 20 years. I knew she would enjoy getting back on one, so I asked a lot of stables. I wasn't sure which ones offer this, so I cast a wide net. I checked out Triple Rise's FB page and saw pictures of people riding horses. Mostly championship style riding horses, which is what most stables tend to show. I sent them a message on FB to ask if they offered riding services -- and if they didn't, if they knew of anyone close by that did. I noticed that within an hour, someone on the account viewed my message. Unfortunately, nobody bothered to answer. A week later and still no answer, but at this point, it doesn't matter. They could have just said, "Sorry, we don't offer that service" and I'd have been good to go. If you have need of championship horse services -- or even horse riding lessons -- Arcuri Stables is the place to go. Prompt response, very helpful, and great customer service. Horses are expensive. Better to entrust your care to a business that responds and pass on Triple Rise.

I asked around at several stables because I couldn't tell from their sites what all they offered. I emailed Lakeview and within 3 days they had responded. I asked in my email to be pointed in the right direction if they didn't offer what I was seeking and they did give me a suggestion. The limit of shavings is not great, because we knew of a horse there that'd never been in a stall before and she'd pace in her stall, she just spread it around, there was barely any shavings left. They were spread out all over her stall and the mat was exposed the next day after cleaning day. If we wanted extra shavings, we had to pay an extra $9.00 for a wheelbarrow full, but not full to the point where the shavings were spilling out. One of the main things we didn't like were the cliques and back stabbing that went on there. The manager said she wouldn't tolerate it, but wouldn't do anything about it. The staff there were pretty rude and would really only talk to you when it was time to pay rent. When it's time for the Eugene Pro Rodeo, forget on riding anywhere. Even though we couldn't ride while set up, days of rodeo and clean up, I still had to pay full rent and wasn't pro rated for the days I couldn't use the facilities. Even though there were cameras, we didn't know if they even worked, because there was a lot of theft, dumping of dirty shavings, etc. that was never followed up on. The wash rooms always had plugs with fur, mane and tail hair and feces, so you definitely had to wear rubber boots. The wash area next to an arena was for boarders and show horses that came for shows. There were signs that said to clean up after your horse but the show attendees never did. Nothing was ever done about it. I had a stall right next to the wash room and my horse was wet quite a lot and the shavings along the wall to about 2 feet in were always soaked. That made my horses stall 2 feet smaller. I still had to pay full price, even though I asked many times for a higher wall and a better seal on the inside of the wash room and the inside of my stall next to the wash room. If you're okay with one of the pros and cons, maybe this stable would be good for you. In honesty, I can't say I'd recommend it.

Each stay has been unique and rewarding, and my son has made lifetime memories and very likely lifetime friends. We attended Catholic Church when my son was little, and my son has been to catechism and received his first communion. That said, he wasn't thrilled about attending a Christian camp so upon picking him up after his first camp, I jokingly asked whether he had accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. He looked me in the eye and said that he had. He said that he had had an experience and decided he wanted god in his life. He assured me that no one had forced him, or coerced him, that it had happened organically for him and that it was a very good experience. The Christian part aside, the camp offers everything from swimming, to horseback riding to go carts. The kids are kept busy, well fed, and well cared for. The one time my son got into trouble during camp we felt the staff handled everything perfectly, immediately notifying us of the situation and how they planned to proceed. Just like anything else, it's not for everyone but for us, it has been awesome.
