They charge for parking which was already paid for by goverment development funds. The manager is a bully with no personality. That goes for her manager too. The building has gone to the dogs in less than 6 months. The staff does not stay more than a month as they cannot work with the manager. I got a threat of eviction for $1 that I didn't even know I owed. ONE FREAKING DOLLAR!!! Nickle and dime thieves all around. It's a very tiny apartment that I'm paying in excess of $100 a month for electricity and water. Too much cigarette and marijuana smoke in a "smoke free" environment. 2 elevators for 200 apartments? Really? Please, stay away. These "affordable" apartments are not affordable. They circumvent every law that they can to steal money from seniors. Do not rent from this place, they are bullies stealing money from seniors. None of my neighbors were tole of the fees added on to their utility bill, but we are stuck until our leases end. I would advise to not move into either of the available units in building 1222 (1 on top floor and 5 on second floor below me). I am moving out of unit 1. Ever since day one there has been a problem with someone smoking weed in the building. When they smoke, you can't avoid it. It comes up in the linen closet, the radiator in the bedroom, and under the front door. When it's nice out, if you keep the window open it just comes in through your window. It is a fairly regular occurrence. Heavy 3 or 4 times a week. Even last night at 4am I got smoked out of my own bedroom and had to sleep on the couch. I talked to management a few times about it. They say they are doing stuff but there has been no change in two months. They know who it is. they have said and I quote "I will even call the resident today to get this resolved." So what they are doing isn't working. I say this to warn people so they don't end up in the situation like me. Fortunately Minnesota gives us right so we don't have to live with it and we can move out as I am doing. They do require you to sign an addendum to the lease saying you will not smoke in the building but their enforcement of the rules seems very lax. I would be inclined to think they really care if they actually did follow ups with me and would ask inquiring questions about if it's gotten better, and about patterns like time of day, days of the week, stuff like that, but they don't. If you are wondering about the rights, look up Minnesota Quiet Enjoyment law and MN Warranty of Habitability law. Don't be duped either. It is not legal to smoke marijuana in a multifamily residence per Mn. Stat. 342.56 "vaporizing or smoking of cannabis flower, cannabis products, artificially derived cannabinoids, or hemp-derived consumer products" in multifamily residential buildings, except for "the use of medical cannabis flower or medical cannabinoid products." Violations are punishable by a civil fine. Other than the marijuana smoking it's not a bad place. The rent does seem slightly high compared to other apartments I've seen recently. My old stove there is not great for baking. You can just barely see the numbers on the dial for temp and the temperature does not seem to be accurate. Good luck and happy apartment hunting.

When I first…read moregot here, they had a service drive where I could pull my truck into to unload everything. I think this would be very useful if you are planning on moving in during the winter. From the service drive, you have easy access to the parking lot and the elevators which go to the apartments. The gym here is awesome. The treadmills sync to your apple watch so it can give you accurate workout results. They have enough cable machines to keep anyone happy. Downside is that the dumbells only go up to 50lbs and the bench is a smith machine. Otherwise can't complain about the gym. The gym is open 24/7 I believe... The pool and lounge areas are pretty nice. There are 4 to 6 grills (didn't look too closely) so there is plenty of grilling space to go around. The people here are all pretty nice and haven't seen anyone causing trouble yet. The main lounge area/pool deck at the center of the apartment is shut down at 10pm so there isn't any issues with noise. All in all, no complaints so far. The apartment is beautiful and you get a lot for how much you are spending. Hopefully will write an update review in 6 months to a year.
