She worked like a dog, putting time, effort and energy while others were off having a good time. When it came time for co-op, she applied for 10, got eight interviews, and four job offers. Her co-op experience was with a very prestigious architectural firm in the old (historical) section of the city. She loved every minute. Prior to her graduation the same firm contacted her to inquire about her plans post graduation, and offered her a job which she accepted. That alone is worth the cost of the tuition. She worked hard to get where she is and I think that has made all the difference. Lastly, everyone squawks about how expensive Drexel is but I truly can say as the parent who paid the tuition that they are no worse than any other private school anywhere. Additionally, they gave her a decent amount of grant money but I wrote them a one page letter and asked if they could do better and they gave her $40,000 scholarship. I am not making this up. Also, I paid her bill online and never had any issues whatsoever. Incidentally, I have a son who attended Penn and I found them to be both stingy, greedy, and very very difficult with the financial aid. I swear they must've had people mining through the massive amount of paperwork we had to submit looking for ways to avoid giving him any type of financial aid whatsoever even when we had two children in college at the same time. Drexel is not for the faint of heart but for those who are willing to work hard and want to have jobs when they graduate.

A few of the professor's i've had in my MBA program just read off a powerpoint, but the ones that cared went the extra mile. I've learned a ridiculous amount in just a semester. The work load is insane if you max out credits but totally worth it. Pick their concentrations related to data. Other majors seem to be less inspired from what i've seen in core classes. The highlight for me is that their 2 year MBA can be completed in one year if you go HAM. Swayed me over nearby schools for sure.

Our student showed key areas on campus while enthusiastically interjecting his personal stories about his experiences on campus. This is a compact, medium-sized university that seems to have a lot of diversity. Students/staff need a key card to get into the buildings on campus. The buildings are beautiful and there is green space throughout. It was a good first impression.

He likes it, and it's nice that he could have his car there as a freshman. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit on the sketchy side, but security seems pretty good on campus. In terms of academics and entrance requirements they're not Harvard, clearly...but my son wasnt interested in the Ivys or a military academy. He wants to enjoy four years, get his degree, and participate in his sport (D1 level rowing). A good match - a good school!

I left messages and not one person returned my call. This is the most poorly run college in the Philadelphia area. I can say that I received a stellar education under their careful yet challenging instruction. Unfortunately, the job market was difficult in that year and after a few years working seasonal jobs, I shifted focus and worked in addictions. I returned to TU to work in the freestanding Career Development Center, eventually becoming the Associate Director in the late 1990s-early 2000s. TU has always believed in fostering the raw talent they see, and they supported me in all my academic and professional development. One professor in particular, Dr. Frank Farley, was especially helpful in my choosing a PhD program. Although I was no longer going to be at TU, he provided guidance and support through my doctoral program and dissertation. This is the clear strength of Temple- once a student, always a student. I will always be proud to be a part of a University that seeks to foster growth, development, and support in its talent, no matter how far or how long that relationship goes. The support programs through Student Affairs are commendable. Thanks TU for making my Owl years so special.

Over my career (I'm still practicing) I was always employed and employers respect Temple. I am proud to be a Temple grad. I even published a paper which is rare for an undergrad. Then there's the ghetto. I haven't been back to campus for years because I no longer live in Philadelphia. But when I was a student back then, the neighborhood was really rough. That's a big downside, unless things have improved. And finally, did I mention that I graduated with no debt because it's a state school and tuition is (was) really manageable. The ladies might want to think twice about walking around at night, but the fellows are safe if you have any self-defense skills. Go to Temple, it's worth it.

When I graduated from high school I went directly to Temple. I did not enjoy the experience. I know…read morethat it is a large university...and that's fine...but I found it to be impersonal and cold. Many of my lectures had 40 or 50 students in them. The professors were not necessarily mean, but they were not helpful. I became pregnant during this time and made sure to keep my professors updated about this as I was a high risk pregnancy and knew that I may miss some classes. When I sent an e-mail saying that I would not be in a lecture for a Dr.'s appointment one responded well MR. Irvin, you will be marked absent and it will count against your grade. He had no idea who I was. I had trouble with financial aid and academic advisers and rude staff...and Temple campus area is where my family is from and the students around their treat the neighborhood like trash. All this to say, that negativity can be found anywhere and is based off of perception and personal experience. That being said, I graduated from CCP with my associates degree in nursing in 2016. Firstly, the n-clex pass rate for my class was in the high 80% if not low 90% last time I checked which is impressive for any institution. I took almost all of my pre-recs at West Philly campus which was very convenient as it is close to my house and I was able to not only take my classes but speak to the financial aid adviser and academic counselor there regularly...like stalked them. I learned a massive amount of information in the nursing program and feel confident in the positions that I've held in my nursing career so far, and not even because I think I know everything but because I feel like I have the tools to figure things out. And yea, I ran into rude financial aid people and rude professors...but I ran into way more not rude people and because I think that the students at CCP are generally more...shall I say, well rounded?...i definitely didn't run into the same social issues that I ran into at Temple. Now I am getting my Bachelors in Nursing from West Chester and guess what? There have been rude nasty people and annoying professors. Matter of fact I had to report a professor for being a bit inappropriate which is something that I never had to do at CCP or Temple. BUT there's more good than bad and I'm going to get my degree and no financial aid rep with a nasty tude is going to stop me. I'm giving CCP a 4/5 because one time I didn't like how my breakfast sandwich turned out.
