The office is conveniently located right by the 6 train and although the waiting room is small and a little loud (you're seated right across from the receptionists), I've never waited more than 10 minutes for an appointment and I'm always out of the office in about 30-40 min. Dr. Amsterdam always delivers my blood test results within a few days via an online patient portal and also communicates with patients directly via the portal so you can login and ask her questions without having to call the office. She's also helpful with referrals--actually calling me herself to provide me with the names and numbers of specialists to see. I highly recommend her if you need a new primary care physician!

With all these walk-ins popping up, some of which I used, you don't get that personal care. So don't have negative connotations about a physician assistant examining you. I needed just a simple vaccination because I am traveling next week (a vaccination that my old doctor recommended) yet when I FINALLY got called into the office, I was given a mandatory consultation about what other vaccines I should get. That discussion would be fine had I come in unsure of what I needed, however this 2 minute long discussion ended up costing me $50 on top of the price for the vaccination (another $50) even though on the phone when I booked the appointment, I was told that all I would have to pay for is the shot. This office was disorganized, not particularly friendly, and charged me when they said they were not going to in the past. I do not plan to return.

I've gone through a phlebotomy course and know that everything done was incorrect. This technician did not wash her hands between patients nor sanitize the desk. Academic pedigree and Accolades, Bed side manner, attentiveness, appearance of genuine concern, availability, and quality of advice are all better than I have had most anywhere. The most I have waited for an appointment was 30 minutes except when it was a last minute and i waited for the next open spot which was about an hour wait.
