The Care quality of Yale is top-notch without disclosing much of my personal reasoning, after my operation, the nurses and Care team went above and beyond for their patients. I worked with a specific doctor and I've been working with him about over a year counting with the post office operation which makes it 2 years. I asked my doctor If today marks the last time I'll see him and he gave me a really big hug stating that this is not a goodbye. This is a see you later and he is always available in case if I need him for any future purposes, but I feel confident that he did a great job and I will be able to move forward confidently. They had, however, done an ultrasound to determine this. Two weeks later I called to see where my refund was. I was told it could take 45 days for insurance - given that they did do the ultrasound portion, I did not mention that had the original doctor made the same determination from the original ultrasound, I wouldn't have been there. 45 days later, I call. Yup, I do have a credit balance that would go back to my credit card. A week later, I still don't have it. They had to have my money up front - now they have had my money for 2.5 months. Not acceptable.

Overtime I thought of him more as a consultant and a friend. His knowledge of all things medical is encyclopedic. He was on a phone call one day with a cardiologist he was helping with a patient. Everything he told the cardiologist, he was able to share which medical book or Medical Periodical it came from and the month and page number. He's very nice, professional, has a sense of humor, is compassionate and extremely knowledgable about Rheumatology, Fibromyalgia and really everything medical. He is incredible.

He has seen me though kidney cancer about 20 years ago and made a plan for surgery. The cancer was removed and I never had any issues with cancer again. Let me add at least at the time I had like a 30% chance of survival. He has also gotten me though a couple of different scary health issues and every time his diagnosis has been correct and his treatment has cured me. He's a excellent old school doctor that ends up being a close friend to many of his patient's. I don't believe I would be here on earth if it wasn't for him. Let me add I'm not unique, I never seen Dr mongillo treat anyone else exactly the same way I'm was. He is a human being that cares about humanity. This is a hard review to write as I like the people at IMGNH, but their business philosophy and treatment of patients is substandard. Let's start with the reception desk. It could be because IMGNH has more patients than it can handle but on more than one occasion someone has picked up, left me on hold for 45 minutes and then picked up again only to ask "who is this." If you manage get to see a doctor or P.A., you're in good hands while on site but trying to get something done once you leave the office is near to impossible. You'll find they're not in, or that they've been sent a message that they won't respond to for hours and they especially don't like prescribing medications. I explained my age and medical history and that I have participated in my healthcare for decades. They don't care. There's a protocol and they're going to follow in Orwellian like fashion. They will not comply with the plan of the doctor who immediately preceded them. This practice (Cheshire location) seems terrified of bureaucratic and insurance pressures and from what I can see they're not so much engaging in medical care as they are working to satisfy the powers that loom over them. What you want is irrelevant. Getting a call back is the hardest thing of all. Try, and you'll get the distinct impression that the person on the other end has been taken away from something they are enjoying.only to have to deal with you. You and your call are a nuisance. You and your call are irrelevant. Even when I left a message about a mass on an internal organ they were largely nonplussed. Thank God, a follow up scan showed it was no longer there; I had to go for help elsewhere because of Cheshire's lack of concern and action. Because I had complained to the practice and threatened to go elsewhere, they have cut off all communication with me. Seems, I cannot go back and their are virtually no other options available. I've been looking for an internal medicine, GP, primary care doctor for months. The problem facing me now is that Connecticut is currently hemorrhaging fine physicians to other states. We have a significant brain drain going on and government either doesn't notice or it doesn't care. What we're left with is a state that has few primary care doctors and even they are currently not taking patients. One physician told me;"we simply do not work with insurance companies. Trying to get a drug approved takes all day and this is time when I could and should be practicing medicine." Where is the outrage at what medical professionals and patients have to endure in the pursuit of their health? IMGH won't take me back, and there are no physicians capable of handling my complex medical history (who are taking new patients). Worse, the best and the brightest are not going into medicine anymore and we patients are walking the streets helplessly without the care or medication that will keep us well. In some cases, it is literally a life and death situation. The Cheshire branch of Internal Medicine of Greater New Haven has demonstrated that it is ambivalent time and again, while the State believes it's micromanagement of the medical profession is a good thing. With no one to speak up and tell them their wrong what does the future hold? Politicians, as a rule like the status quo and doctors are not about to lose their license by trying to take on the state. The easiest thing is for them to move to a more "physician friendly state." Internal Medicine of Greater New Haven is but one case study but it has proven itself to be a place that you can and should avoid. At least that small exercise of power can be enacted. As for finding someone new good luck. I've been at it for months, am out of prescription refills, and for a man with my medical history this is not good.

I have been a patient for the last 15 years at least and the level of disrespect, discomfort, lies, misconduct, lack of empathy, compromised ethics, and a lot more. I am very fortunate to have been recording every interaction with every employee in that place. I have treated every worker with the upmost respect. My appointment literally only takes 5 minutes tops. Blood pressure, urine, done. I have had false positives on my urinalysis 7 different occasions now in the last 13 months. According to my records not one of those particular urines were sent to the lab. I have used other methods just to prove with 100 % certainty that this was the case in several of these urinalysis. I have been on the suboxone along with an ADHD med and Anxiety med that I need to function. I was doing amazing until these wonderful people started playing games with my prescriptions and demanding I travel 45 minutes every two weeks for a 5 minute appt including a urine. I am on a low dose adhd control and low dose anxiety control med. I need to take these medications so I can run my business. These employees at the counter( answering phones) and unfortunately now Physician Assistants, Docs, etc truly get satisfaction on making your life hard and miserable. For example, being sent home for being 5 minutes late for the last appt of the day after I just paid 80 dollars to get there and back. Another, being forced to take multiple days of every 2 weeks because I have to fight to get my meds because they were either not called in by the end of the day( this has happened over 16 times) Most of us suffer from addiction and my heart goes out to all that do. I can promise you the majority at 1427 chapels shore does not. I tested positive for a drug that I know have not consumed in anyway possible and the doctor cut of my benzo med that I have been on for 20 years cold turkey, without verifying with the lab, by trying to tell me it wouldn't be safe to give me at least a couple days or a weeks worth due to one positive substance that does not even interact with the benzo I am on. I can tell you for sure what's not safe is to let a healthy individual as myself walk out with the risk of having a massive seizure at any point within the next two weeks. I asked for documentation where it states a doctor can ethically do as such. They gave me the suboxone agreement which is not a matter of life and death and not at all what I asked for. Anyway I can go on and on about the many incidents over the past 5 years at 1427 Chapel. I know there are many patients going through similar with this particular crew at 1427 Chapel. My heart goes out to you all as well. Start recording and documenting if you feel you are being treated unfairly and do not be afraid to question anything that does not make sense or feel right. Dr Aggarwal started something above the rest years ago. I pray people either switch locations and research their rights if some of what I said seems too familiar. Don't let them cost you your job or sobriety by there lack of compassion and understanding.
