Finding a place where you trust the staff and build friendships with other parents isn't always easy, but when you do, you hold onto it. I'm so happy with the choice I made in 2019, and I look forward to my daughter enjoying the next 3 years at CMMS.

She willingly goes to school every morning and is excited when we pick her up. She's being well cared for physically. I like that we are in charge of packing her lunches because then I know what she eats. They communicate with us if anything is happening. They hold events for the kids and parents. Concerts, birthdays, quarterly season festivals. They learn about all different cultures and holidays throughout the year. And they are almost always open! Other daycares close frequently, but there are only about 12 days throughout the year that this one is closed. it's great for our family since we both work. Chaitra is a very communicative director. Their billing is easy, and automated. There prices are expensive, just like everything around this area, but for what you're getting in education it's fair. My daughter's teacher Ms. Neha is wonderful, and she has 3 aides with her, for 8 kids. A good ratio for 2 year olds! The other comment complaining about "lack of diversity" does not ring true. Yes, there are many Indian and Asian teachers and students, but this is Germantown. It's one of the most diverse towns in the county. I see it as a benefit.

Choosing the right preschool for our twins was a daunting task since we wanted nothing but the best for their first official school. We visited all the well-known preschools in the area but none of them gave us that "this is it" feeling. Our friend recommended Children's House at Holly Hill Montessori and believe me, I had my reservations when I heard it was set up in the teacher's home but I went for a meet and greet anyways. It was the best decision we could have made and all our preconceptions went out the window as soon as we stepped in. Every nook and cranny of the school was a functional space, purposefully designed to cater to the needs of the little ones. And here's the kicker: despite the bustling activity of energetic preschoolers, the school exuded a serene atmosphere that could only be explained by witchcraft. Not a single moment of chaos or tears to be found! However, the true gem of Children's House is none other than the remarkable Ms. Toni. She embodies everything a parent could dream of in a teacher, especially for young children. With her patience, kindness, and genuine care, she creates an environment that feels like a warm hug. Her infectious smile and unwavering passion for teaching are evident in every interaction. We left our twins in her capable hands, knowing they were in the best possible care. Our twins initially struggled with a speech delay, but thanks to Ms. Toni's exceptional skills, they quickly caught up with their peers. She has a remarkable knack for teaching, seamlessly integrating academics with invaluable life and social skills. And as an added bonus, she provides a hot lunch every day, which was incredibly helpful for us as busy parents. Ms. Toni has laid a solid foundation for our twins, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in elementary school. We will forever be grateful for the immeasurable impact she has had on their development. It's without a doubt that she is the best teacher they have encountered on their educational journey thus far. Our only regret is that the pandemic prevented us from staying with her longer. We wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Toni and Children's House at Holly Hill Montessori to any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching preschool experience. She has consistently demonstrated her unwavering dedication to the children's best interests, leaving a lasting mark on their lives. Without a doubt, she receives our highest recommendation, and we would choose her over and over again.

My kids (7 year boy, 6 year girl) have been going there for the last 3 years. Initially, it was not my idea or desire for them to go here due to budget (we will be paying this bill off a few years after they have moved on!), but I'm glad their mother insisted. I'm certain Montgomery County schools couldn't have produced half the results and god only knows what kind of garbage would have tainted my children's innocence at any number of MoCo's schools! I wouldn't say AoC is conservative, yet I wouldn't categorize them as liberal either. Again, a perfect balance. You are welcome to share your a faith and discuss it, but they certainly introduce science in its entirety and don't promote any particular religion. They are balanced in all subjects, and are very quick to pin-point natural deficits of each student and focus on these weak-points. And of course, as a Montessori school, the learning is very hands on which is great for all children who just love to touch anything and everything! I'm impressed with how clean and organized the school is every time I visit and the programs they put on (including the yearly spring play) are always carefully thought out and executed. I also love how this school is multicultural, racially and religiously tolerant, informed, current, but still objective and consistent. Pick-up/drop-off is extremely quick and convenient and they communicate any changes and reminders way ahead of time via mass emails. They are everything you could want from an educational facility and more. As an educator (private music instructor), I highly recommend them!

It felt like Owlets was a support system even outside of school hours. We loved the balance between structure and free play and really felt like Little Owlets prepared my daughter very well socially and knowledge-wise for kindergarten - the transition to elementary school was a breeze. My child LOVED the Montessori-inspired activity time and still talks about it. And there were so many creative and fun activities - cooking, yoga....We loved that outdoor time was emphasized in all but the worst weather and the kids got in quality outside play and exercise time. Shortly after we were warned by someone we met that it's not a good school, they were right. There are many families on grants and financial support (lower income),which we did not mind, though there is no system in place and the preschool lacks leadership and clear guidance from the director and corporate. Teachers don't seem to know when asked questions and do not make any decisions. Often, staff members were on their cell when I came to pickup. It is not Regio or Montessori teaching approach, and from what I've seen the teachers cut and glue the art projects, the children learn by repeating and being indoctrinated with information instead of exploring hands-on and being asked open-ended questions. We were not updated when there were issues that rose, and only found out after the fact that things were handled poorly and without any consent from the parents. This is our third child and I work in education, if you value your child's education and want them to thrive in a supportive, welcoming and communal environment, there are better options out there.
