My daughter has a difficult time leaving us, so it is paramount when someone else is able to step in make her feel comfortable. They offer a Learning Through Music class that is definitely heightening her innate music skills. They don't use peanut butter in the meals at all because of allergies. Sun Butter is used instead. All the food is organic. They don't use microwaves because crockpots are used to warm up things. This is a major plus in my book. You have to sign in and out when you enter and leave the premises. You also must be buzzed in the front, which is great because we are always concerned about the safety of our little ones. They also provide daily reports that include what they ate, learned, how many times they got changed, and there is a separate report if there is an incident. Oh, how could I forget? They also teach your children sign language!! Mic drop.......

We chose this daycare because it is located in the same building that my husband works. We were on…read morethe waiting list for six months because our son needed to be in the youngest classroom and they only take six children at a time to maintain legal ratio for the number of caregivers to children. Each child also needs their own crib the entire time they are enrolled. He started on May 6, 2018. The first week went as well as you would expect for a child just starting daycare who has been at home with mom since birth. The second week is when we had issues. Prior to his first day, we were asked to fill out multiple pages regarding his routine and feeding schedule. During the second week on Wednesday and Thursday, he was given one bottle over the course of 8-9 hours. He was allowed to eat as much solid food as he wanted and was given no water. His belly was distended for hours after he was picked up. My husband spoke with the assistant director and was informed the center was understaffed and that teachers from other classrooms had come in to help. I am not sure how this should affect my child eating. Additionally, I was under the impression that an accredited daycare center should be aware that a child should have more than 6 ounces of liquid over the course of 8-9 hours. All of his food, diaper changes, and naps were to be recorded on a sheet of paper throughout the day that we received a copy of at the end of the day. How did not one teacher notice he was not getting his bottles? The director of the center was not in due to a conference, so my husband brought the problem to the attention of the regular early morning caregiver. She was shocked that he had not been fed appropriately. The next Monday my husband went in to speak with the director and we began working with our jobs to rearrange our schedule so that we could remove him from their care. The director informed my husband that the assistant director was supposed to have informed her of any issues regarding staffing. Apparently, this was not done in a sufficient manner since our child was not fed appropriately. The next day we were told that we would receive a full refund and, after securing alternative schedules with our jobs, my husband went in at 11am to take our child home for the last time. When he walked in one of the caregivers had all six childrens' forms in a pile filling them out. These are to be notated every time a child is fed, diapered, or finished a nap. I'm not really sure how she managed to do this for all six children at one time. This was after we had been assured by the director that our child's form would be correctly filled out. At this point, my husband had been calling the center when he was due to eat and told it was being recorded. Obviously, this was not the case. I cannot speak for the older classrooms. But I would not enroll a younger child who is unable to speak for themselves. The cost is quite high for a center that is unable to maintain proper staffing to the point that they cannot maintain basic care for a ten-month-old child. Additionally, we were told there would be forms of enrichment during the time he was there. No evidence of this was ever presented to us. We were only ever told that he wandered around the room playing with toys and refused to nap. It's been almost three weeks since his last day and we have seen no refund and not heard from the center. We will be reporting the incident to the Office of Child Care. I know this is not a horror story but it is still unacceptable.

I knew it was time to put her in daycare and we were so blessed to find Miss Gina and it just so happened to be with in walking distance to our home which was great for this transition. Miss Gina has been very kind and patient with my daughter. Miss Gina keeps the daycare very clean, organized and welcoming. I appreciate her open communication with any concerns or insights she had on helping with our daughter. All the kids get along really well and have a sense of community. My daughter really learned a lot through the weekly themed lessons Miss Gina plans for them, which are very interactive. She makes sure to include sensory, imaginative and creative play and lessons for the kids. My only regret is not finding Miss Gina sooner! Sadly are only leaving as my daughter is going to kindergarten or else she would stay there longer. We will miss taking my daughter to Little Lambs but will forever remember the time we had there!

A friend recommended curious critters and while we would have taken any port in that storm we have been very happy with the care our son has received here and continued sending him there even once things began to open up. My son genuinely loves his teachers and talks about them all the time at home. He is learning quite a bit and every day comes home with new vocabulary. And I really love that the staff here encourage development across the board, from eating with proper utensils to potty training, and they are happy to work with parents to help the kids succeed. On top of everything we can tell a ton of planning goes into their days there. Every week has a theme that carries over from the books they read and the projects they do to the food that is served for breakfast and lunch.

The owner Dominique Walker and her staff are professional and courteous. I was always greeted with a smile and my daughter enjoyed going there. If I had a concern it was addressed and corrected. It takes a village to raise a child and CCELT staff really assisted with that process. I recommend CCELT to all parents who wants their child(ren) to thrive, be loved and cared for with dignity. The cost did not matter to me becuz I always had a peace of mind when dropping off my most precious gift. No price compares to the LOVE and CARING your child(ren) will receive from the CCELT staff. I really hated to leave; however, kids do grow up and they have to move on LOL!!! It was truly a pleasure being able to be apart of a wonderful family environment. We will truly miss CCELT but I know I will definitely use their drop in services from time to time Dionne
