Left my 2 dogs with them for Thanksgiving weekend 2018 (Wednesday night through Saturday…read moreafternoon). Both dogs are female, and as girls occasionally do they'll have a fight a couple of times a year for dominance. For this reason, we've always made sure the kennel places them in separate "runs". We usually board at a different kennel, but chose this one since they were the only one locally with availability for the weekend. When my wife dropped them off on Wednesday night, the girl who took them in WAS TOLD 3 TIMES to make sure they were separated. This did not happen. When I picked the dogs up on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., the smaller dog had a 1 inch long, 1/2 inch deep bleeding laceration below her left eye. The person who helped bring the dogs to the car did not mention this injury, and I only noticed it while in the car on the way home. I immediately took her to Animal Clinic East on Gunbarrel Road, who determined she needed stitches. Animal Clinic East is my usual boarding facility, and they were shocked that this kennel did not contact me about the injury. Moreover, Animal Clinic East called me 2 weeks ago because one of my dogs being boarded there fluffed her dog bed too much while trying to get comfortable and the stuffing came out. I found that call to be a bit of overkill, but to not be contacted by this particular kennel for an injury of this magnitude is outrageous. I intend to present them with the bill that I will receive from Animal Clinic East. There may be additional actions taken regarding their licensing as well. I'd NEVER recommend their "services" to anyone who loves their pet... Just got her back home. A $778.00 bill from the vet. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PET!!!! It's not about the money, it's about being a good caretaker. I will do everything I can to put this place out of business even if it bankrupts me... She blocked me on messenger, told me she will talk to my attorney(at my expense). Dog was allowed to approach a stranger and bit the stranger. Both oral and written instructions were given to her NOT to let the pup approach strangers or other animals due to the fact she was newly rescued. Business packages should have been put in my office with the door shut. She didn't do this, and a lot of the new clothes shipped to me were destroyed. Came home to towels all over the floor. She claimed the dog pulled them out. When I picked them up, they were soaked with urine. The dog is house trained, so probably was not let out. Then- the dog ingested bobby pins. I find this out from a friend who she called to see what to do. I don't use bobby pins. She admitted to them being hers. With this situation, there could have been complications for 2-3 days. She never mentioned it to me. In short, it is not a situation of being a bad person. It is: No training for emergency situations Lack of following instructions Not giving the pets proper potty breaks Lack of knowledge of basic care and common sense. I am appalled she is advertising 9 years experience. When I met her the first of the year, she was working retail, and said she wanted to start pet sitting. Yes, paperwork and contracts are a specialty. Taking care of your home and pets is not. If I could give a negative rating, I would. And just an FYI- my dogs are Golden's and labs. Just found Southern Pro Kennel and had the opportunity to use their dog boarding services. My 10…read moremonth old, 60lb, puppy Bolt stayed with them for 9 nights while the family was traveling. We are doing the month long training program in July so I had spoken with them and was familiar with Parker and Haley. They were not annoyed by any of my questions and Parker was very helpful in correcting some troublesome behaviors before we had Bolt stay with them. She came back leaner and with a shinier coat than when we dropped her off. I'll be posting another update once we do the month long board and train program, but I can say they are very affordable. While $1500 is no small fee, most other board and train programs are that or more for only 2 weeks!! Bolt is a Great Pyrennes mix so she has quite the independent streak but we'll see what magic Parker and Haley can work in July. I cannot say enough about Southern Pro Kennel. Their location is convenient to downtown but far enough out that they have a large amount of land to work with the dogs on. Look for my updated review and if you need dog training/boarding look at Southern Pro Kennel.

He's an English Bulldog and you have to wipe them after the bathroom. They aren't that involved here. They also don't keep their collars, they make you take them and they use those slip knot lanyards for walks & moving around the kennel. Here comes my problem. Our 2 dogs stay w/ each other. NEVER APART! And I explained this, they both get extreme anxiety when separated. Well, to clean their stall (which tells me they don't watch them on a regular, or they wouldn't use the bathroom in it) They had to be separated in 2 separate areas (also against what I told them, and makes no sense). The Bulldog will not go in a small crate or pen and will put up a fight if pushed or pulled which is why I suggested they keep his collar for that, not on him! But to move him! He NEVER had a collar sensitivity issue ever before! Ever since they stay there, he becomes aggressive, growls, barks & has bitten me & his dad anytime we attempt to put his own collar on him. I can only assume that they used that slip knot lanyard on him, choking him, and now he is scared to death of anything around his neck. He was well trained as he is 2.5yrs old not a puppy. Now 4.5 months later I still get bit attempting to put his collar on & attaching a leash to him. He is making progress of being retrained w/ a leash & collar. They also asked for pics while away (I signed the box to be sent them) Never got 1 pic, and they come w/ a complimentary bath after a # of stays...but the day I picked them up they said they couldn't give them a bath because they were booked already. I asked to bring them back for a bath & they said I would have to pay.

Laura and staff have always been communicative and mindful about who would be in our home. They always fed our cats, played with them, and texted pictures and updates when they left. This past weekend was so strange and such a different experience. We asked and had an agreement for a Friday evening and Saturday morning feeding. They've always had time slots (within 3-4 hours) in which they would visit. Friday evening, we are out of town and our motion detector on our camera notifies us. I check the camera and first I see a strange man sitting on our couch - someone we've never met. After a few seconds, I see Laura feeding our cats in the kitchen. That brings a bit of relief, but who is the man? He now knows where we keep our key. She also came a bit early, but we could look past that. Also, they left and didn't text us to update us on the cats. No communication that evening. On Saturday morning, we are out of town and we are waiting on the motion detector to go off or a text from Laura. Nothing. Around 10:30 est (their cut-off for morning feedings was always 11 am), I text her and ask if she's been there. After a while, she just texts "Not yet." No explanation. We wait and wait and start to worry, so we leave without going to our friend's event on Saturday. At this point, it's around 12:30 (afternoon... not morning). Still haven't heard anything. Text her, and she says she got caught up at another visit and she's on her way then. We're about an hour out. I say go ahead and feed (since we've paid for it/left a check). No text back. We get home before she got there, but she never got there. After I fed the cats, I tell her we're home so there's no need for her to come at this point. The cats are fine, but we do have a cat with digestive and kidney issues that needs his meds and to be fed within a reasonable time frame. All together, they went 22 hours without food or check-in. Also, we paid her for both an evening and morning visit. She said she was on her way, but it doesn't take an hour to get to our home. Oh, and there hasn't been any communication since, even though I've emailed her. She cashed the check, though. I'm very disappointed in this VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service. It's so strange and weird. I will no longer be using Pawright and will no longer recommend them.

Clearly, if you don't look carefully, those bad reviews are easily buried. The nurses were incredibly rude. I asked them to return my dog to me, but they kept lying, telling me to wait ten minutes, five minutes, then two minutes. It was ridiculous. They deceived me and made me wait in the room for over an hour, yet they still refused to return my dog. Finally, I told them that if they didn't give my dog back, I would call the police immediately. Only then did they return my dog to me. What's absurd is that when they handed my dog back, they cursed and said my dog would definitely die. The nurse thought I couldn't understand English and was shockingly brazen. I guess they were angry because they didn't make enough money off of me. When I told them I wouldn't pay their exorbitant fees, they immediately suggested euthanizing my dog. It was unbelievably cruel. In the end, I went to another hospital where my dog received excellent care.

They where so understanding and sweet and rushed him back as an emergency, they even gave me time alone with him, while I had to decide what to do with him. They made the process swift and simple and where very empathetic. A few months later I brought a kitten in, I switched he food abruptly and she got bloated, dehydrated, and constipated. She was so sick and was up all night crying and vomiting, I was so worried that she would pass like the cat I had before and rushed over there exhausted and stressed, they got me in same day as soon as possible and they treated her with the best care (even though she screamed and acted up like a psychopath) After some fluids and TLC she was back to normal. Running around and playing, eating normally, and back to her regular bathroom schedule. I am so glad they where here for her, they are miracle workers!

We were with Catoosa VCA for 14 years and left their practice this month following what was…read moredescribed to me by another thoroughly established licensed vet as negligent care. Two weeks ago, my 14 year old shi tzu underwent the routine dental cleaning that she has received every year. Before her cleaning, we did the required blood work. We received a text from one of the doctors stating that the blood work was "all good". The lab results were not available for us to view at that time, and the front desk clerk said it takes a while for them to load into the system when we called to state we couldn't see them. Taking the doctor's word, we schedule her dental, which is done under anesthesia. When we dropped her off, she was her normal, completely spry senior self. When we were called to pick her up, we were told everything went well. When we arrived, she was barely responding to us and didn't seem to know what was going on. This is different from every other time we have picked her up, but the tech assured us that she had taken her out and she walked around, but was just sleepy again. On the ride home, I was completely worried but thought she might need to sleep it off. After taking a brief nap, she was completely agitated and confused. She did not sleep the entire night. We called and explained her confusion and now new hunched posture, and were told to return to the office if we were concerned. We went back and Dr. Collins examined her and said she just needs time due to her age and the anesthesia. When I asked about her posture, he said maybe they "tweaked" her back since X-rays were done also. Tweaked her back??? So he prescribed an NSAID, and off we went. Well, at this time she was also refusing to eat, which we told him, and he did not seem concerned. The NSAID was given, and she began to vomit in the coming days, so we again returned to VCA Catoosa. We saw a female doctor this time who stated it was just her back and prescribed a steroid right after an NSAID with no washout period. She began to have diarrhea. Luckily, she did not develop a stomach ulcer or GI bleed. She still was not eating a week later. We decided to see another respected vet office in the Chattanooga area, which immediately drew labs and found that she had sustained a kidney injury from surgery and that her pre-anesthesia labs showed that she was developing acute pancreatitis and should not have had an elective procedure. They also checked blood pressure, which showed that she was severely hypertensive. Catoosa had never routinely monitored her BP. I wasn't aware this was something done for dogs until I went to an office that actually examined her properly. So she had to be hospitalized at our expense for a kidney injury and pancreatitis. The only time anyone called to check on her was when we requested records to be sent to a new office. It was more of a "why" inquiry than a "how is your pup really doing" inquiry. I requested cancellation of the care club membership and was told we technically owed them money since the plan had just renewed, but they were going to do us a favor by cancelling a plan we had for 14 years and had barely used, free of charge. This was after they severely injured my pup, which cost us over $3,000 out of pocket. On top of everything, the negligence continued when Dr. Collins called to tell me to continue using prednisone that they had prescribed to treat the back that they had injured. Luckily, with her stomach issues and her inability to eat, we did not continue to use it. This was during the period that we were waiting on the lab results from the new vet. There was no way I was taking any more medical advice from Catoosa, and I am so glad that I got a second opinion because I truly feel she would not be here today. I will be reaching out to VCA headquarters and the veterinarian licensing board to file complaints. Hopefully, this will save someone from watching their animal suffer while "doctors" just push meds at them without properly exploring what is going on. It truly broke my heart because we TRUSTED them.

We had to go out of town on short notice and couldn't find anyone to care for our dog for the night. Even though they weren't officially offering boarding yet (starting April 1st--and they'll even have pet daycare - how exciting!!!), they stepped in without hesitation. They didn't just "watch" him--they came back after hours to check on him, feed him, walk him, and spend time loving on him. They even worked around our schedule so we could pick him up when we returned to town the following day much later than anticipated! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear how much love and care they pour into what they do. We are very particular about who keeps our sweet boy, but we had complete peace of mind the entire time he was there. They treated our pup like he was their own--making sure he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for every step of the way. That kind of trust and peace of mind is truly priceless. If you're looking for a place that genuinely loves animals and provides exceptional care, I can't recommend them enough. Every time I pet or hold her she purrs super loudly, and her favorite thing to do is cuddle (sometimes literally for hours!) with me under the covers every morning. Aside from some food related digestion issues when I first got her, Ruby's a very healthy kitty and we haven't had any health issues in the past year since we found the right food. It's obvious that she was very well taken care of by Addie and her daughter. I wasn't able to visit her cattery in person due to covid and because I live in the west coast, but her house looked very clean and filled with toys/other adorable ragdolls when I FaceTimed her. Addie was very responsive in the 3 months from when I placed a deposit to when I got Ruby. She replies to messages really fast and always sent videos/pictures when requested.

The practice manager Kelly is a thoroughly unpleasant woman and implied I was planning on litigating against her, when instead I wanted some responsibility for my cat and her death. Kelly, if you read this, I work with plenty of residents on the mountain, many of whom have pets. If I can dissuade any number of them from continuing to be a client at your facility my cats death may not be in vain. Attatched is a photo of Sleeper, 12 hours after her visit to AHSM she was in critical condition at the emergency vet.
