Laura and staff have always been communicative and mindful about who would be in our home. They always fed our cats, played with them, and texted pictures and updates when they left. This past weekend was so strange and such a different experience. We asked and had an agreement for a Friday evening and Saturday morning feeding. They've always had time slots (within 3-4 hours) in which they would visit. Friday evening, we are out of town and our motion detector on our camera notifies us. I check the camera and first I see a strange man sitting on our couch - someone we've never met. After a few seconds, I see Laura feeding our cats in the kitchen. That brings a bit of relief, but who is the man? He now knows where we keep our key. She also came a bit early, but we could look past that. Also, they left and didn't text us to update us on the cats. No communication that evening. On Saturday morning, we are out of town and we are waiting on the motion detector to go off or a text from Laura. Nothing. Around 10:30 est (their cut-off for morning feedings was always 11 am), I text her and ask if she's been there. After a while, she just texts "Not yet." No explanation. We wait and wait and start to worry, so we leave without going to our friend's event on Saturday. At this point, it's around 12:30 (afternoon... not morning). Still haven't heard anything. Text her, and she says she got caught up at another visit and she's on her way then. We're about an hour out. I say go ahead and feed (since we've paid for it/left a check). No text back. We get home before she got there, but she never got there. After I fed the cats, I tell her we're home so there's no need for her to come at this point. The cats are fine, but we do have a cat with digestive and kidney issues that needs his meds and to be fed within a reasonable time frame. All together, they went 22 hours without food or check-in. Also, we paid her for both an evening and morning visit. She said she was on her way, but it doesn't take an hour to get to our home. Oh, and there hasn't been any communication since, even though I've emailed her. She cashed the check, though. I'm very disappointed in this VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service. It's so strange and weird. I will no longer be using Pawright and will no longer recommend them.

I contacted Dianne to care for my mother's dogs and cat after she was in a serious auto accident…read moreand hospitalized. Dianne was very responsive and arrived on time for our first meeting. I was a little taken aback however when she commented on my mother's home and made a some specific and hurtful remarks when she came in. Surprising, but I deal with all kinds of personalities in my job daily, so I let it go. Once we entered my mothers home she took to bossing me around a bit. Telling me (not asking) me to leave the dogs outside as she began to try to coax the cat out of hiding. I thought this odd again. A cat hiding when 2 strangers and 4 dogs come in the house I didn't think was unusual. Dianne began entering every room of the house and opening every door which to me was a slight violation of privacy. So, here we are 5 minutes into meeting for the first time, she has insulted my mother, bossed me around like her personal assistant and explored every room uninvited of my mothers home. The thought crossed my mind at this point to shake her hand and find someone else. I wish I had but I needed help, I was going to have to leave the next day and didn't have a backup plan. I have to say I was pleased with what she offered for the price (a little higher than the website quoted). She was to check the mail and take around the trash etc.. a nice touch I thought. As far as I know, Dianne completed the visits as we arranged. My mother returned home 2 days later. Again to her credit, Dianne did go over early and delivered her key so my mother could get in. I received a call from Dianne when she arrived and immediately her tone with me was harsh and judgmental. I was asked if I had talked to my mother. My response, yes...? I didn't understand the question but it was obvious soon enough that she was interrogating me about my mothers healthcare and my role in it. Without going into personal details, I can assure you it was completely inappropriate and once again judgmental of myself and my mother. Up until this point I had entertained the option of having her look in on the pets again while my mother completely recovered. I couldn't bear it though, I let Dianne know I felt offended and felt she had personally insulted my family multiple times. Her response was a veiled passive-aggressive apology. The job got done for an ok price but I was surprised someone in business for themselves in a field like this behaved in such a way. I have hired pet sitters for my own pets at home and haven't had any issues. As much as of basic service a pet sitter seems to be providing, its actually very important. Not only are you trusting someone with your little family members, they get to come in your home and are entrusted with many personal details of your life.

Puppy Love Kennels

Left my 2 dogs with them for Thanksgiving weekend 2018 (Wednesday night through Saturday…read moreafternoon). Both dogs are female, and as girls occasionally do they'll have a fight a couple of times a year for dominance. For this reason, we've always made sure the kennel places them in separate "runs". We usually board at a different kennel, but chose this one since they were the only one locally with availability for the weekend. When my wife dropped them off on Wednesday night, the girl who took them in WAS TOLD 3 TIMES to make sure they were separated. This did not happen. When I picked the dogs up on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., the smaller dog had a 1 inch long, 1/2 inch deep bleeding laceration below her left eye. The person who helped bring the dogs to the car did not mention this injury, and I only noticed it while in the car on the way home. I immediately took her to Animal Clinic East on Gunbarrel Road, who determined she needed stitches. Animal Clinic East is my usual boarding facility, and they were shocked that this kennel did not contact me about the injury. Moreover, Animal Clinic East called me 2 weeks ago because one of my dogs being boarded there fluffed her dog bed too much while trying to get comfortable and the stuffing came out. I found that call to be a bit of overkill, but to not be contacted by this particular kennel for an injury of this magnitude is outrageous. I intend to present them with the bill that I will receive from Animal Clinic East. There may be additional actions taken regarding their licensing as well. I'd NEVER recommend their "services" to anyone who loves their pet... Just got her back home. A $778.00 bill from the vet. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PET!!!! It's not about the money, it's about being a good caretaker. I will do everything I can to put this place out of business even if it bankrupts me... My 9 year old Staffy had had a heart murmur since birth. Never had an issue with it until…read morerecently. She has been having labored shallow breaths for a couple of days. She couldnt get comfortable lying down. Classic signs of congestive heart failure. My normal vet did not have any openings for a week. I found this place during a google search. They got her in right away. They provided me a number of option and reccommendations. I decided to pay for the expensive stuff EKG, Ultrasound etc. They found exactly what I thought and immediatly gave her a lasix treatment to reduce the fluid retention. within hours she was breathing 100% better. The test showed Enlarged Heart, Glitchy Mitral valve and Congestive heart failure. The meds prescribed have worked great so far. She is on the schedule to see there cardiac specialist on 8/10. Yes it wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. This place is open 24/7. Of course the overhead is high. They have all the specialist and equipment you could ask for. I did have to wait longer than initially told. However, they are an emergency clinic! They prioritise the most sick or injured. Which I appreciate. If my waiting two hours longer than expected allows someone else's babies to survive than so be it.

From the vets (they don't finish their notes…read moreon the day of the appointment so you have to wait to get your pets records, the ER vet we saw forgot something and had to ask his assistant to go fix something for another pet while he was in the room with us and then we asked for fluids to administered to our cat along with a medicine and he said he was going to go do it and it would be 5 min and 40 min later the vet tech said he was 'really busy' and couldn't do it before our cat wasn't sedated anymore and so they just didn't do it). The vet tech told us completely inaccurate information twice including that we didn't owe an additional invoice while he handed us $150 medication that sells on Chewy for half that, and telling us the incorrect way to administer the medicine per the label on it. And then the admin staff... over several speciality visits they told me they were going to send records and they just don't. Twice now I've had to call and make a scene after two and half days go by to get my cat's medical records. They also lie about what's going on in the back. When we asked for our cat they said they were putting him in his carrier and then 10 minutes later we asked again and they said the same thing. They just say whatever to not deal with people. The wait times are also horrendous. I've never spent less than three hours here. Then the finance billing person told me she wouldn't send my records until I paid my balance which is ILLEGAL. I told her that, she said it again, I told her it was illegal again and then she finally sent them, but had to be threatened with legal action. The worst part though? We learned nothing about what is going on with our seriously ill cat after a neurology visit, and multiple ER visits. They just referred me to another specialist within their practice. This place is a SCAM and my cat was worse off than before he went in there. Go to AESC!

We were with Catoosa VCA for 14 years and left their practice this month following what was…read moredescribed to me by another thoroughly established licensed vet as negligent care. Two weeks ago, my 14 year old shi tzu underwent the routine dental cleaning that she has received every year. Before her cleaning, we did the required blood work. We received a text from one of the doctors stating that the blood work was "all good". The lab results were not available for us to view at that time, and the front desk clerk said it takes a while for them to load into the system when we called to state we couldn't see them. Taking the doctor's word, we schedule her dental, which is done under anesthesia. When we dropped her off, she was her normal, completely spry senior self. When we were called to pick her up, we were told everything went well. When we arrived, she was barely responding to us and didn't seem to know what was going on. This is different from every other time we have picked her up, but the tech assured us that she had taken her out and she walked around, but was just sleepy again. On the ride home, I was completely worried but thought she might need to sleep it off. After taking a brief nap, she was completely agitated and confused. She did not sleep the entire night. We called and explained her confusion and now new hunched posture, and were told to return to the office if we were concerned. We went back and Dr. Collins examined her and said she just needs time due to her age and the anesthesia. When I asked about her posture, he said maybe they "tweaked" her back since X-rays were done also. Tweaked her back??? So he prescribed an NSAID, and off we went. Well, at this time she was also refusing to eat, which we told him, and he did not seem concerned. The NSAID was given, and she began to vomit in the coming days, so we again returned to VCA Catoosa. We saw a female doctor this time who stated it was just her back and prescribed a steroid right after an NSAID with no washout period. She began to have diarrhea. Luckily, she did not develop a stomach ulcer or GI bleed. She still was not eating a week later. We decided to see another respected vet office in the Chattanooga area, which immediately drew labs and found that she had sustained a kidney injury from surgery and that her pre-anesthesia labs showed that she was developing acute pancreatitis and should not have had an elective procedure. They also checked blood pressure, which showed that she was severely hypertensive. Catoosa had never routinely monitored her BP. I wasn't aware this was something done for dogs until I went to an office that actually examined her properly. So she had to be hospitalized at our expense for a kidney injury and pancreatitis. The only time anyone called to check on her was when we requested records to be sent to a new office. It was more of a "why" inquiry than a "how is your pup really doing" inquiry. I requested cancellation of the care club membership and was told we technically owed them money since the plan had just renewed, but they were going to do us a favor by cancelling a plan we had for 14 years and had barely used, free of charge. This was after they severely injured my pup, which cost us over $3,000 out of pocket. On top of everything, the negligence continued when Dr. Collins called to tell me to continue using prednisone that they had prescribed to treat the back that they had injured. Luckily, with her stomach issues and her inability to eat, we did not continue to use it. This was during the period that we were waiting on the lab results from the new vet. There was no way I was taking any more medical advice from Catoosa, and I am so glad that I got a second opinion because I truly feel she would not be here today. I will be reaching out to VCA headquarters and the veterinarian licensing board to file complaints. Hopefully, this will save someone from watching their animal suffer while "doctors" just push meds at them without properly exploring what is going on. It truly broke my heart because we TRUSTED them.

She wanted me to screen shot them and send them to her, which I did but that was not good enough so then I was asked to go to her house for a meet and greet so she could examine them better and give her my new address. She then when on and on about how I need to give her notice before canceling an appt, which I did not do. Then, we set up another appointment. This time I was about 20 minutes early so I called her and asked if it was ok and she said yes bring them in. When I walked in she asked me to sign in and put my address down I told her that I am new to the area and didn't know it right off hand and that I would have to go back to my car and get it. I asked her if I could leave my dogs and I would be right back she told me No they can't be on her property with out a proper address. She then FOLLOWED ME out to my car, harassing me and demanding that I provide her my address, which I did. THEN she said she was not able to do the appointment today and that I would need to reschedule. MIND YOU, she was already given my address at the meet and greet A FEW DAYS AGO. I have never experienced so many issues scheduling a dog grooming appointment in my life. Nor, have I ever been treated with such disrespect as a paying customer. Needless to say I will not be returning and strongly recommend finding someone else more professional. If I could give ZERO stars, I would!

PUPPY BUYERS BEWARE!!…read more To begin with please know the 1 star is for the breeder and not the two puppies we bought. It is of my opinion that the Jordan told us whatever she thought we would want to hear in order to sell her puppies. I have found Jordan to combative without accountability for her actions as evident in her response to my review. As part of Jordan's sales pitch she misrepresented the puppies as having been genetically passed for diseases and specifically mentioned that the parent dogs were tested for hip dysplasia. I have since learned that there is NO "genetic" test for hip dysplasia. Jordan subsequently provided a certificate showing normal testing for DM but there is absolutely NO relation between the DM and hip dysplasia. It's my understanding that most all reputable dog breeders list there mating dogs with the OFA.org database. We went to Hanson Farms with an interest in their white German Shepherds. My wife and I have not had a dog/puppy in over 20 years and at the time knew very little to nothing about what would be involved with raising puppies, 100% inexperienced. Out of concern for having a puppy (or puppies) we explained in great detail our work schedule and how we can be gone for long periods of time in a day. Jordan misled us to believe that having two puppies would be a good idea as it would keep each pup company, and further stated "that it was easier to train, behavior, potty, etc." Jordan even mentioned that she offered a puppy daycare service to watch the puppies when we have longer than normal work days. After speaking with multiple professionals -- including a representative with VCA Animal Hospital, The Tennessee German shepherd of East Tennessee, and three dog trainers -- we were told that both, having two puppies and to allow the puppies to go to her home for puppy daycare, was "BAD ADVICE," especially coming from a breeder. Apparently, part of the reason they said it was bad advice is something called, "Litter Mate Syndrome," which involves behavioral issues, dependency issues and aggression, all of what we have been witnessing between the two puppies. Jordan has discounted the litter mate syndrome as having no "evidence" to back this up. As a breeder she either knew or should have known about this as there is plenty of evidence out there but Jordan tries to focus on an article written by a dog trainer rather than facts. It's not buyers remorse when one has been duped and misled. Again, Jordan showed no interest in the puppies' welfare but seemed to be more concerned with a so-called "policy" of a $300 non-refundable deposit. She further stated that we would only receive the difference in whatever the puppies would sell for as she seemingly had no intention of selling them for what we paid ($900 per puppy). Not until we asked for the refund were we ever informed of any non-refundable deposit, neither verbally nor in writing. In fact, Jordan required that we pay the full $1,800 up front, of which we paid. Given Jordan's lack of professionalism and what seems to be a matter of money rather than showing interest in the puppies welfare and because of the love we have for the puppies we have decided to go against the advice we were given and decided to do what we believe is in the best interest of the puppies. We believe that the puppies going back to Hanson Farms is by no means in their best interest given the circumstances and given the unkept conditions we received the puppies (dirt inside the ears, numerous worms, etc). I question how Hanson Farms can even be allowed to be a breeder. And as a result of Jordan's ill advice we will now have to spend a lot of money to deal with the behavioral issues. Lastly, when we went to pick up the puppies I met with several of Jordan's adult dogs. Their adult dogs were unruly and exhibited bad behavior, trying to bite at me or jumping on me. In fact, one of the non-parental dogs tried to attack me from behind although Jordan will not admit to this. When I later mentioned to Jordan the bad behavior of her dogs she tried to discount this as the mother dog protecting her pups and made some excuse of how her other dog was trying to hug me. I believe it is common knowledge that a well behaved dog that has been trained does not jump on people.
