First timer to this shop. I actually went to pick some home decors , but couldn't find much . Dresses were all over the place but not that attractive . I saw some Nike and other brands at the front (for kids) which were good. Most of the bath linens and rugs were OK and I picked few rugs . No customer service at all. WHAT'S UP? Why is it that others seem to have such a negative experience in this store? I don't get it. I always have great experiences here and the staff is always warm and kind. What kind of energy are you generating???? Anyway, the secret to Ross is knowing what you can and cannot find at each Ross location. Each location is slightly different. Although Johns Creek is my "home store", I shop here for their great garden center. This is the only location within a 20 mile radius that has the best selection of ceramic garden pots and accessories. I like pots that are very different and I also like the ones that are very large. I purchased three very large pots and they sit at the edge of my patio. They have exotic plants in them that will appear mid to late summer. I refer to them as my "showstoppers" and can't wait until they emerge. If you are going to purchase the very large pots, you must have a strategy because you won't be able to lift them without assistance and you cant take the cart out of the store due to the attached safety stick. I always take my husband and make sure to park as close to the door as possible or I drive up while my husband is paying. These pots are crazy heavy and bulky and weigh close to 50 pounds. If I could give this Ross a zero I would. This weekend I was so embarrassed to take my Mom there. I bragged how nice it is to live in Cumming and how clean the stores are. All the shoes were in the floor, toys in aisles all over the store. The people there were letting their kids play through out the store. It is up to the store staff to tell customers to watch after their children and to not play in the aisles on the floor. I guess Ross is just getting to be a junk store. So shocked to see a great store getting so trashy. (It can be fixed floor staff can pick up the aisles and keep your store clean) read more

Do you want cheap clothes? Tchotchkes? Cooking ware? Food products of dubious quality and freshness dates? Welcome to Ross. But let's not talk about what they sell, let's talk about the experience of going into Ross. The sizzle rather than the steak, if you will. It's the people that shop here that really make the experience what it is. Loud people who shout to each other. Big people who block the aisles and ignore any polite requests of "Excuse me." Hell, for that matter, tiny people who block the aisles as well. And of course, the heavy melange of odors that seem to settle around some shoppers like a deadly miasma. But the worst of all is the children. To begin with, there seems to be an invisible field at the front door that makes people's children invisible and inaudible to them. This same field seems to turn the children on to overdrive, prodding them to have footraces, shrieking contests, and throw merchandise on the floor. They're constantly underfoot and under-attended, and their parents can't seem to care less. For the record, I did ask at the front desk if I could overturn some of the shopping carts to act as makeshift cages/play-pens, but they said no. Not that the parents would notice their kids were missing anyway. Every trip here ends in a challenge to self control and me grinding my teeth into dust as I hurdle products and children in an attempt to escape without the need for police intervention. tl;dr - Cheap stuff, but is it worth the price of your sanity? read more

The Ross at north point in Alpharetta, is almost always the same , only one person working the register no matter how many people in line , went couple days ago and only 1 person was checking customers out and also was the person doing returns as well, so ridiculous. This Ross needs to get with it and call for Backup when there are several people in line waiting to checkout but they are doing a return. read more

Purchased clothes at a different Ross location where they failed to take off the security tag. Brought the item in to the Cumming store, along with a copy of the debit card statement proving the purchase. after waiting for her to make a call she then informs me that it's against policy to remove the tag,is it that difficult to use common sense? Ridiculous ! They deserve negative stars for lacking the ability to take 2 seconds to remove a tag ! read more

I am no longer shopping at Ross. I was a regular customer here until today. I was embarrassed by a sales clerk in front of other customers and cashiers who spoke to me in a rude tone instructed me to put my cart in the cart return as I was leaving. (Twice!!!) I mentioned that I was leaving and had nothing to check out and usually customers always leave the shopping carts in front of the window near the exit or to the return bin. I had shopped around and had not made any purchases today (Saturday) as there wasn't much items on shelves today and normally Ross restock every other day. Never mind the fact that I held open a door for a customer leaving the store earlier when I arrived as she was carrying two large rugs and some pantry and bathroom items in her shopping cart. read more

I am going to give this place a couple stars because you can find things pretty cheap. I once forgot my gym clothes and just ran in and bought a cheap pair of gym pants so I didn't have to skip my workout. I have gotten some good deals on tennis shoes, although there seems to be less variety in the size 10 monster women's show size. That being said I do have a couple of complaints about the Cumming location. First off, the set up is absolutely ridiculous for clothing. The clothing rack rows are so close together that two people can't shop on the same aisle without going to second base with them. Secondly let's talk about their lines at checkout. Get some more cashiers on the registers when there is a back up in the line. Nothing irritates me more than to see employees standing around sorting hangers behind the service desk and not getting on a register when there are a ton of people in line. Here's a hint...if you don't know how to run a register then stay the heck away from the registers because if you're up there and I am standing in a long line I expect you to get on it. It seems they always have one register open and one person at the customer service desk. The problem is they don't have one line that feeds both customer service and the register. They have a separate line for returns. Nothing boils my blood more to be standing in a line 12 deep of customers and someone saunters in with a return and gets taken ahead of all the people that have been standing in line for 10-15 minutes. Hello...the people that are in the checkout line want to GIVE you money!!! I will never shop there on my lunch hour because I am guarantueed to be late. Oh and clean your bathrooms...they're almost as bad as Target!! read more

This is the absolute worst place to go with kids because if your kids goes to toy section they are looking through the toys or something they think it's right to forcibly take the toy your kids has in their hands and because most of the toys they have are almost open they get mad at your kids and start lecturing you for your kid 'actions' it's so stupid. You people need make sure to handle things better. read more
