This is one of my favorite Ross to shop. However, in the last couple years, the management and quality of the store has gone totally downhill. I don't get it. They closed down the entire fitting room section in the back to provide only two fiting rooms in front of the store, but everyone is too busy to help you? The struggle is managing so many people that they are trying to survive by having enough cashiers to mend the main line. I don't understand the management of this store. I asked for a fitting room, the security guard looks at me and says one room is working and the other room is not. He just got there and he doesnt know? Looks at me like I'm supposed to give him an answer, lol. Make sure you grab a receipt, because it looks like the only fitting room that is provided is the comfort of your home. read more

Zero stars if I could. My brother in law's father walked up to the counter to purchase a pair of white of pants today for his wife. The cashier proceeded to tear the tag off the pants, threw it aside and claimed "wrong tag". The cashier proceeded to call over another associate for who knows what reason, and he waited for about 40 minutes. When I asked what I waiting for, the cashier then became physically agitated and refused to sell me the pants. Something is seriously wrong with this store. Employees seem out of control, likely due to a lack of management or grossly unqualified incompetent management. I've worked in retail in the past, so I would love to sympathize with all retail workers during the current environment, however these people don't deserve these jobs during a recession toting one of the worst unemployment rates in the past century. The staff here has the patience of angles! I shop at this store almost weekly. Customers are so rude and argumentative and time after time I've seen the staff be professional and courteous. Just because the Ross staff does not indulge every insane customer request, it does not mean they are providing poor service. This Ross had such a -small- selection of clothing, I was honestly surprised. I'm not sure why, but there were very few Missy & Women's racks but the Junior's racks were thick with clothing. There were plenty of dresses to choose from though. I've noticed this at a lot of stores lately, they don't cater to the older women, or the career women, but to the 15-23 year olds. I don't really get it. It's not like they're the ones that can actually pay for everything. Oh well. I suppose it's what sells. I did find a nice blouse that a friend picked out for me and a lovely peacock blue party dress for my holiday needs. read more

**ZERO STAR REVIEW IF I COULD** The rudest customer service I've ever experienced!! One of the employees had the nerve to SHOVE ME in my hip work the carts because "she was frustrated". At first I thought it was simply an accident, and then she did it AGAIN. After that, I looked over wondering maybe she didn't see me... NOPE. She gave me the most attitude, hostile glare and CONTINUED to shove the carts at my hip. I left and called and asked for the manager (I wasn't even angry on the phone), and he asked me if I could "please hold" to find out what happened, and immediately the phone hung up. I called again asking for the manager, and this time, they just hung up on me. YES, I'M ADDICTED! My last review for this store was not very favorable because my photos were removed in favor of the glowing corporate alternatives. This was during a time when the store was consistently messy. However, since my last review can honestly say that Ross has made an effort to really improve the interior of their local stores. Although this is my "home store", I shop all locations and have found that things have improved across the board. Stores have all appeared neat, clean and organized. For the past six weeks, I have been in the trenches with the spring cleaning shampooing carpets, painting and re-dressing every room in the house. Even the garage got a make-over! What a chore!! Ross has been my silent partner during the entire process as this is the place that I have scoured looking for baskets, candle holders, vase fillers, organizers, bath accessories and other home décor items. I will be posting pictures of the items in my home so you can see how they have been used. I love baskets in every room of the house, (bathrooms, offices, bedrooms, guest room, den, kitchen etc), because they are great for organizing and enhancing the décor. Ross is the one place I know that I can find what I need at a GREAT price. You can purchase baskets anywhere but you can't beat Ross for assortment, quality or price. I happened to be in the store when they first rolled out their spring baskets and I was immediately in love because they had unique shapes and sizes and I could purchase two of the same. These baskets were made in Vietnam and are very well constructed so I stocked up. Although other stores had baskets, I noticed that they carry the staggered baskets in sets of three which don't fit my particular esthetic as I tend to be very symmetrical in my decorating. Also, their prices were higher and their designs were not unique and why pay more than I need to? Don't just limit yourself to one location, visit them all and often. When I could not find side tables at my local store, I was able to purchase them at the Acworth store. I purchased a wonderful two-tiered sliding organizer for my sink but I needed another one for the other side. It took a couple of weeks but I was able to locate another one at the Cumming store. SCORE!!! If you are looking to change things up, get organized or just freshen your décor, you should definitely visit Ross. ***Ross is the one store where I can still find quality heavy-weight sheets in 100% cotton, (with accurate pillow case sizes), at an incredible price. read more

I've been to many Ross locations but this location is my favorite. It's located off Medlock Bridge Road and McGinnis Ferry Road. This location is the biggest one I've been to with a lot of cute dresses. I like wearing dresses to work but in general because it's easier to put on and I have an unportionable body. Maybe it was a good day for me since compared to the other reviews, it was clean and well organized. Even though the line was long and it was busy, the lines moved really quick and the cashiers were very nice and courteous. I bought a pair of shoes and four dresses. All I have to say is that when I wore them to work, different female co-workers have asked where I got my dresses from. Even my daughter has found great comfortable outfits. Shopped here about a month ago and after I paid, I was told by the cashier that I cannot take the cart outside the store to load my car because of the security bar on the cart - yes, that annoying tall blue bar. I asked why tell me this after I already paid for the stuff in buggy, yet I can't take my own paid items to my own car due to security strip bar? Cashier says I had to move my car to park in front of Ross then I can grab my items. Never mind these are paid for and left in the cart inside store while I get my car. I had an issue that required a manager for return, the manager (Tim) literally yelled the store policy at me then turned and walked away leaving the cashier to deal with the issue. The cashiers (Irina) were also rude and I felt very publicly embarrassed. I can't believe this sort of treatment of customers would be tolerated. This situation escalated in a way that it didn't need to, because I wasn't treated with respect by the staff. And of course I was angry but I was never once rude to the the staff nore did I do anything that would warrant this kind of treatment. The employees of this location need major customer service training. This complaint is a common one if you read through the reviews. Don't shop here. And definitely don't lose your receipt if you plan to return anything to this chain. read more

I love Ross, but this one stinks! The store feels so empty all the time. I've gone in several times and always come out with nothing because there's no decent inventory. First I should tell you that I am Ross fan.But the management and workers there in Medlock bridge Location are horrible.They always doing wrong things. They forgot to put the goods inside your bag or forget to remove the magnet or forget to scan or scan wrong items! I always have to dubble check in the store. If I find out something or want to give it back,it is always problem.they don't accept their own fault Even After Checking security Camera!!! Some workers are very rude and unpolite. So basically they just stole from me. I was paying for my purchase using the chip reader, and pulled it out too quickly apparently, however the charge went through on my phone & bank account app.. The worker proceeds to tell me I didn't pay, even though I can see the transaction on my phone. She didn't even speak understandable English. For years Ross Stores is one of my favorites and so many of my family and friends favorite store to shop UNITL TODAY! The Johns Creek Ross really disappointed myself and my family. Let me tell my story, I go into Ross Johns Creek in Alpharetta GA to see if they have a pair of cleats for my 8 year old to tryout for Football this evening and excited I found 1 Pair of cleats (the only pair) in his size for $14.99 and then I bought some other items because I love Ross, get to register, cashier Yulissa rung my stuff up and prompted me to pay as I had my card in the machine Yulissa canceled it and told me that something was wrong. I'm thinking well what's wrong because I have to get my son to the tryouts, she pulls shoes out of bag turns them to the bottom and states, the wrong ticket price was placed on the shoe it's really $42? Ok? The ticket was on the wire and a sensor was on top of tag I didn't change it. Yulissa tells me to hold on let me go check. I told her to bring the manager back because that was not my error it was the employee who put the Wrong ticket on the shoe but the store has to honor the price. ( Side bar any store that I've gone to that made a mistake honored the price, Like Macy's for instance.) Yulissa comes back with Manager Bianca Bridges and Bianca was SO NASTY ABOUT WHEN IT WAS THE STORES MISTAKE! SHE TOLD me she was not giving it to me for that price and I asked for Store Manager Bianca said he's not here and his information is on the sign and walked off like I was not a paying customer like everyone else. In all my years to have a Manager of a Store be so nasty . Not wanting to get arrested I left but in 2.5 seconds my daughters were around the corner. They went in asked to speak with Manager and long story short she was even nastier to them but was able to get them to leave without a scene.
