Shout-out and thank you to Bridget at Nordstrom Perimeter Mall. She helped us pick out the nuna pipa urbn flex all-in-one car seat and stroller system for our baby. She was kind and patient, and spent time walking us through Nordstrom's stroller and car seat options. If we hadn't gone in person to try out the equipment ourselves, we likely would've ended up with an UPPAbaby stroller that we would've been less happy with. We made sure to work with Bridget through the Nordstrom app to ensure she gets her well-deserved commission (at least, that's my understanding of how it works). In general, my wife is a big fan of Nordstrom and has consistently purchased items from Nordstrom over the years. She thinks they have high-quality items, good customer service, and a good return policy. Case in point, earlier this year, she returned an unused item at Nordstrom Phipps Plaza that had been sitting in our home for multiple years. Years ago, I visited this Nordstrom to look for tuxes for my groomsmen at The Black Tux. I then sent my local groomsmen to this store for their tuxes. The first time I went to Nordstrom at Perimeter Mall, I asked a salesperson where the item I was looking for was, and she took me to it. No directions. Ever since, I have made purchases, returned items, and swapped item sizes all with no questions asked. Everyone has always been helpful and eager to do so--good sales when they have them and a very nice selection, especially in the shoe department, with everything for you to choose from. read more

It's fine. I typically go to this location over others in Atlanta. Large shoe section and generally staff are really nice and open to helping or answering questions. This is also where my husband rented our tux for our wedding and that was a decently easy process. There were the only option that had the classic cream dinner jacket. Nordstrom at Perimeter Mall is OK. I came here to shop for work clothes due to me getting a new job. I'm more of the casual dresser, but I'm not allowed to wear Levi jeans or polo shirts at work like I used to be able to do. I thought Nordstrom would be a great place to start. Ummm ... I should've gone with my initial thoughts when I walked toward the Men's Department that had the suits, dress pants, etc. My initial thoughts were: Is anything going to fit me? Am I going to find things in the price range I want to pay? Will someone be able to help me? Why does it seem like they don't have that much inventory on the floor? I'm on the short side, and I'm not thin, so I could tell by looking that I wasn't going to find anything straight off the rack here. And I was correct. Apparently, since I have a 29" inseam, I'm also supposed to have a 40"+ waist. With shirts, most of the nice ones were slim, and I'm definitely NOT slim/thin/skinny. Did I really need shirts, ties or pants that cost over $250? Definitely not. Oh, and when I asked an employee in the department for help with finding what I was looking for, I got the judgmental look, you know, the one when someone takes a quick glance up and down at you and looks at your face with a disapproving look? I actually returned "the look" back to him, said, "I changed my mind," and walked away from the department and Nordstrom. The overall quality of the men's clothing is pretty high, I have to admit, and the organization of the clothing and the displays are very eye appealing. Went in and asked an employee if Paige made a particular color jean in a particular fit, employee said "no." No further help offered. Didn't look it up or offer to. No offer to find anything else. I pulled the product in question up on my phone 5 seconds later. Asked another employee who looked it up and verified it did exist. Nordy's used to be the height of customer service. It was my go to for two decades. But this sealed the deal for me after multiple lackluster experiences. In a time when so many alternatives exist and big box stores are struggling, service is really all they have left. I want to support them badly. But it's swung from the customer is always right (they're not) to the customer is an inconvenience (they're not). Bloomingdale's in Lenox has far superior service and selection. For that matter, I've had much better service at my local Target. read more

I come here often to shop since I live near the mall. I like this store because its always pretty organized and calm. The only thing is the inventory seems lower than the other nearby department stores. I guess it helps keep the environment not so overwhelming but its a catch 22 because it can seem bare at times. read more

I visited Nordstrom today at Perimeter mall in Dunwoody, GA. I went to the shoe department to look for shoes, I walked around and even sat and no one spoke to me until about 15 minutes and finally a young man spoke and asked if he could assist me. I believe his name was TJ. Thanks to this young man, I may return. Maybe. Note to Nordstrom, acknowledge your customers especially when you are just standing around. read more

I've been to Nordstrom stores in other states, and while they're ok, they don't compare to the ones in Atlanta. Really, this store has a big selection of items. It's a fair statement to say I hate shopping. To be specific. I hate clothes shopping. I can food shop all day long but as soon as I see one stitch of fabric...my stress level goes up.... Given that I don't want to shop for clothes but have to for whatever reason....my go to place is always Nordstrom. Now I remember once a upon a time there were no Nordstrom in Atlanta...and boy is the city better for it. What makes this place so special: customer service.....in my younger days when I had no money I could come here and buy a cup of coffee and still the sales people treated me like I had a black Amex. I remember once I came here after the gym in flip flops and looking like I needed a shower to return something and they were absolutely fantastic. Not only did they let me return without a receipt but I went home with a sample bag of beauty products! Try going to Macy's in flip flops and see what kind of service you get..... Lets also not forget they have this awesome policy where you can buy online and return or exchange at the store. I'm not fan of shopping so I can do so online, I'm in. This doesn't happen often seeing as how I have to try most clothes on. Shoes, usually good in that department. Shipping would have arrived in about 4 days but I wanted them quicker. This mall is about 15 miles away but takes 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. I just ordered a pair of Havaianas flip flops. They have a "pickup window" for online orders. It's on the first level (downstairs) next to the men's shoe department. Simple process, which I'm grateful for. I had the thought to try them on before heading back home, glad I did because they were too small. I was able to return them hassle free. I've shopped here on numerous occasions but today I'm here bc the moisturizer I use is sold out online so yelp I had to make a trip to the mall. Upon arriving it's always a fight on parking spaces but I was able to get a space close to the door . As I walked up to the La Mer counter the Associate was assisting another customer. I started looking for the moisturizer I came in for and it wasn't out on the shelf. She told me she had more in another section. So I made my purchase and I also scheduled to return for a skin care event next week . Kathy, Counter Mgr, assisted me with the sale and scheduled me for the skincare event. She was very nice and knowledgeable about La Mer. Although I'm a long time customer, she still provided a brochure of the products. There is always something new so why not provide a brochure . The store itself is always clean and well organized. All of the Associates were on their posts assisting customers. If you're looking for the best moisturizer for your face , La Mer is it. Yes it's pricey, small bottle $85, but it lasts you about 8 months so well worth the price. And your skin will love it! They also have other products like cleansers too so check them out. The customer service in this store is significant. I am from out of town and needed a few things because my trip got extended. The ladies lingerie section went above and beyond to find a few bras that fit really well. I am an odd size and good sizing has always been hard. They brought everything back and I tried on quite a few leaving with two and feeling like a million dollars. I checked out the kids section and witnessed another employee taking the time to talk through some kids outfits with (probable) grandparents. What's in style and what that age group has been buying. I was not impressed with the shoe sales lady I walked up to. I wanted to know if they carried a certain boot. She hadn't heard of the brand, and didn't listen to me as I said the model name (classic versus original... same, same!... not the same). Thankfully, that was the first stop and the lingerie ladies made up for it. read more

The reviews here about racial profiling at this location are sadly true. I love Nordstrom, but I returned 2 designer items today to this woman who did NOT call a manger or question my items at all, HOWEVER when my African American friend returned a single designer item later on at customer service, this woman excessively examined the item (photo) and called a manager. When my friend asked why, this woman said "we ALWAYS call a manager for ALL designer items" - which is a LIE because my return was done by her without a manager present and my items were worth more! As an ally, this is unfair treatment and not okay by any means therefore I'm writing this for awareness. If you are a person of color, STAY AWAY from this location. This woman performed a discriminatory act and looked foolish when the manager completed the return with ease. Not sure if this behavior is just HER or "training" by Nordstrom to treat POCs unfairly, but either way she needs to be SPOKEN TO by management. read more

This used to be my favorite store - easy to purchase & return, and the employees were friendly. However, be warned if you have to return items to this location, the staff is NOT happy and goes out of their way to make the process slow. Today I was in line with at least seven other people, with only one person working the return register. Meanwhile, other employees behind the returns desk were folding clothes, breaking down boxes, doing anything except helping actual customers. Is it really more important to get the recycling together when you've got a long line of customers standing right in front of you? I almost asked for a manager but a sweet cosmetics employee came over and took my return. Grateful for her! read more

My experience with Nordstrom goes way back to shopping for my children in Westchester, New York. Since relocating to Georgia I haven't shopped here for a while. Recently I popped in to purchase a gift card and took some time to walk through several departments. Of course their products were well organized and beautifully displayed. The store carries an upscale inventory but also have items that are reduced for sale. The staff are helpful, professional and engaging. In each department someone asked if I needed assistance. The tall female associate with black clothes on and gray sneakers on that I was escorted to afterwards for assistance in the men's department did not give eye contact and was so unfriendly. My shopping experience with Nordstrom is always a pleasant one. The employees are attentive and more than happy to help. The department I shopped with today was the Lingerie department. Its important you have a firm foundation that adequately supports you before you start piling clothes on your body. I will start by saying that the ladies here in this department are phenomenal! I was completely wrong about my bra size before i came here. Once I was measured, an employee brought me a couple of different bras to try on and reassured me that if we didn't have it that they could order it for me. Best part is the shipping is free! Bra shopping always takes so much out of me and i usually leave empty handed, but this time i ended up leaving with two beautiful bras! The best part about this location is there is a restaurant on the third floor and a eBar on the first level. So if you start to get hungry you can take a break from shopping to get a quick bite, and then pick right back up where you left off! read more

This review is for my stellar experience at Perimeter's Nordstrom cosmetic department yesterday, and oh la la, c'est chic, I mean this Nordstrom's blows the one at Mall of Georgia away as far as jaw-droppingly beautiful people sightings, cleanliness, organization, products, and service. The gal who was scheduled to do my makeup informed me that it was her last day working there, and she could've had a lackadaisical attitude of "peace out, don't care bout this job" but she was such a delight and made me look gorgeous. She didn't once try to upsell products, refused a tip, and just made the whole experience a pampering, pleasant pretty one. The only thing I found unusual was when she answered her cell phone and talked about her prescriptions with a pharmacist, all the while wielding a liquid eyeliner to my face. I've been a loyal Nordstrom shopper coast to coast for over 20 years. My go-to location is in Phipps as it is not crowded ever and I get full attention of the staff which is helpful when you are looking for something you don't normally buy. The perimeter location is VERY busy and as a result, it takes a bit away from the customer service they are known for. Nonetheless, the parking lot is huge and you can always find a spot easily and it is uncovered so better for safety unlike the shady garage @ Phipps!! I will say Anna Yim at the Shiseido counter is my personal favorite! She always texts me when there is an offer going on as this is my go to skin care line. Anna is amazing and really makes you feel you are her only customer...she is that personalized and attentive! Often times instead of making a trip, I simply approve what I need and 2 days later it is at my front door! Please keep up the great work, Anna! read more

In the past, I have had really positive experiences shopping at Nordstrom in Colorado and Arizona. This was my first visit to a Nordstrom location in Georgia, and this entire location at the Perimeter Mall is under construction. Given the mostly positive reviews, I am going to assume that was the problem for my visit. When I visited last weekend, the inventory was really, really low. For example, I went in to look at the women's section for a formal black dress. There was literally only one choice in my size, and it looked very 90s (and not in a cute throwback way). One positive thing I have to say is that their staff are really nice and helpful. Multiple people asked me if I needed assistance: from when I browsed the Mother's Day gifts to when I was lost trying to find the section I need with all the floor-to-ceiling plastic wrapped areas to when I was actually looking through their clothing. I would consider returning after the renovation, but for now, I would recommend you try out a different location because this one does not meet the Nordstrom standard. read more

My daughter 2yo needed shoes and to be measured. She had a fit when they wanted to measure her or try new shoes on. The sales associate was very sweet, brought her a balloon, and brought several similar styles of the shoes we liked but nothing was available in the size we needed. We would definitely come back and hoped our daughter would respond better. Everyone we encountered was very hospitable and friendly. I also used the mothers' room to nurse my son that's off the women's restroom on the 3rd floor. It's nice and has a single chair and a long bench for nursing along with a changing table and sink. read more

Nordstrom's Perimeter store is my favorite place to shop in all of Atlanta for women's clothing. Full disclosure: I detest clothes shopping! Their customer service blows away every other department store in the metro area. I needed to update my wardrobe for a new job, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the 3rd floor women's section now offers Elie Tahari suits. Bonus, they were on sale! In addition, Nordstrom's also carries a wide variety of leather bags. (And they carry a wider selection of Coach products than the actual Coach store.) Excellent customer service, free tailoring on any clothing purchase, and a beautiful selection of well-made goods. Yes, it's pricier than Macy's, but the shopping experience is totally worth shelling out the extra cash. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Nordstrom at Perimeter before! I guess I was more of a Bloomie's girl, but I've always like this Nordies, too. And now that Bloomingdales has left the building, well, today when I needed to find SOMETHING - anything! - white (or maybe cream) to wear for tonight's white-themed event I'm attending, and I was in the area, voila! Such NPWH. In all departments. And I just loooove their cosmetics and accessories departments. I literally own white clothing that consists of tank tops and tees, one pair of jeans and a faux fur coat. It's not really my thing. Nor does that all add up to a good outfit for a swanky benefit. While I was distracted a bit by many shiny objects- sooo many purses and such I wanted to get! - and I did browse the perfume department long enough to see my favorite, Hanae Mori, was in stock (and I need some! Perfectly rational) and that they make a deodorant! How could I not get that too?? Anyway, I finally focused and found a lovely cream top with a collar and a v-neck, a style I really like on me, and a perfectly matching scarf to go with. Welcome to Nordstrom, how can I help you? I enjoy the product offering at this location over Phipps. The restaurant has fresh food and friendly service. The chocolate offerings are very tasty up in the household furnishings area. Renee in home furnishings is always so helpful, and goes above and beyond. The mens area has a great selection, Angie is amazing! She will send a text a picture of an item she thought I would like. Lisa at the Kiehls location is also very friendly, following up to see how I like things. Parking is easy to get in and out of, one word of caution, the store leadership is very poor. If it was not for the good sales associate, I would quickly move over to Phipps who follows up very often with me. read more

Okay, FIVE STARS for Jasmine in ladies' lingerie. She was so ridiculously friendly and helpful, I was happy to spend too much money on undergarments. Aaaaand one sad star for the ladies shoe department. I wandered in looking like a lost child because I basically am when it comes to accessories. Not on of the several employees came anywhere near me. At one point, I was the only customer there. I was going to just ask for assistance but as I picked up a shoe to ask for my size, an employee walked quickly right past me like I was infected with the plague. I mean, my office dress code is pretty casual but I'm pretty sure I didn't look like a hobo. So then I made a game of it. How long can I wander back and forth through this section before someone asks if I need assistance? Forever. The answer is forever. Which is disappointing. In reality, I spent maybe five minutes wandering. The department was mostly empty. The employees talked on the phone, talked with each other, but didn't talk to me. :( I first came to Nordstrom last year for my wedding undergarments and had a great experience, which is why I came back for regular undergarments. And it was great this time, too. The jokers in the shoe department almost ruined my shopping high. Thank goodness for Jasmine. I'll continue to come to Nordstrom for anything but shoes. I'm not a huge Nordstrom shopper but occasionally, I wander in and poke around. The service is much the same as any of the other department stores in Perimeter but I like the selection more than the stuff at Macy's, Dillard's, and Von Maur. I had this awesome ivory turtleneck that I wore for years and recently it must have gotten a stain from one of my jeans in the wash, so I had to mourn the top and let it go. Every time I'd go shopping (which isn't all too often), I'd check to see if I could find something similar. All my searches were in vain until I made it to Nordstrom a couple of months ago. I found a tissue turtleneck that was basically identical to my old one and it was on sale. Humungous score for me. While I have some favorite stores in Perimeter Mall, I know Nordstrom probably won't let me down in the future. I'll be back (in Schwarzenegger's voice--I mean, who else?). Customer Service is at an all time low. ATP, I'm just going to stick with online shopping because I am tired of shopping while Black. I went to Nordstrom on the 25th of August around 1030 and walked towards the back of the first row where Jo Malone is. Two salespersons (a black male and Hispanic female) were talking. The Hispanic female asked me did I needed help, and I told her "No, I was fine". I kept browsing the area. About 10 seconds later, she asked me again, but in a invasive way walking towards me, "Did I need any help"' I told her " I just told you I don't need any help 10 seconds ago. I went to the counter right behind them, and this third lady asked me " Did I need any help". Didn't she just hear me tell the other lady I didn't need any help. This is very invasive and ruined my entire shopping experience. And what makes this matter worse is THEy NEVER ASKED OTHER GUESTS!!!! This other shopper was just walking around like I was , and they didn't pester her. I usually have a personal Sales Associate I deal with there, but she wasn't at work, so I was just looking around. I've been a very local customer at Nordstrom. I am very well versed in cosmetics and fragrances so I know exactly what I look for. But this particular location always follows me around being really invasive , following me around , and watching me, as well as keep asking me do I need help. And the times I finally needed help, they throw me off to another SA because they don't know what I'm talking about. Why do you ask me do I need help and when I need it, you don't know. This happened to me at this location several times. I was in the Men section browsing fragrance and watched this Black guy watching me , Walked all the away across the store, kept asking me did I need any assistance, then when I left the area , he walks back toward his area. And get this, There were other shoppers around. And this isn't the first Nordstrom that does this. I never experienced this in Saks or Neimans. So for now on, I will never shop face to face at Nordstrom's again. I'm sure they DONOT care. But Nordstrom needs to tell their Sales Associates to stop being so Invasive in shoppers personal space , stop pestering shoppers, and stop it with the singling out Black shoppers. read more
