Like most Ross locations, it can be chaotic, unorganized and messy. But what do you expect coming at 8pm, after all the señoras have ravaged thru all the aisles. I do see staff trying to tidy up and organize, but very difficult when you have several lady shoppers beside moving everything and anything and leaving an item they no longer want in any random aisle. I can't blame the staff too much for this chaos. If you come when they open, it's much more organized. Great selection for the holidays. Appreciate the loss prevention man who greets. I received especially great service from Amanda, the cashier that often wears baggy hoodies :) She & Melanie are the only workers that work hard at all from what I can see. They are both little angels from retail heaven and make an otherwise chaotic store seem pleasant to walk through. This Ross is located so randomly in this plaza. I went in without reading the reviews first so I was pleasantly surprised. I actually found some good pieces for work and for my bathroom. The employees were nice. I have not met anyone rude. Even the other customers were ok. The merchandise were mostly arranged nicely. It's just a tight squeeze in between the racks of clothes. This Ross experience was something else. The store was the usual disaster, but the employees? Completely in their own world. There were four of them just floating around the registers like Sims stuck in a loop, deep in discussion about Potato Corner--debating fries like their lives depended on it. Meanwhile, only one cashier was actually working, moving at the speed of a tranquilized sloth while the line stretched to another dimension. But the real kicker? The male employee (who had done absolutely nothing up to this point) suddenly turned to me, looked me dead in the eyes, and said, "You look like a very specific transsexual woman with a male Taco Bell-shaped forehead." I walked up to the security and asked him do you mind if I use your dressing room to change into work pants because the pants I had on I didn't like them and they weren't black. Well this Ross in Hacienda in the 4 for less shopping center is the only Ross I have encountered with RUDE customers service. Poor people skills and the store always messy. Also they always find an excuse when you want to return something if you don't have the receipt. They have state a receipt is needed for all returns while other Ross Stores take the item as long as is with the tags and you have an ID. The Cashier's think they are superior than the customers like wake up..you work at Ross and yes we shop there cause of the price and thanks to the customers you have a JOB. Before Covid they used to let you try on clothes in the fitting room. I went in with a bunch of clothes, (10 plus). They only let you take 6 or 8 at a time. So, I was going in and out of the fitting room, taking clothes to try. Removing the ones I tried. The lady controlling the fitting room started counting the clothes I had in my hand. Then questioning where all the others went. I felt like she was accusing me. I asked her if she was there the whole time, and we were going back and forth. I had to life my top so she can see I'm not wearing anything else but the clothes I went in with. Then as I'm at the cashier paying for my clothes. This puts an even bigger focus on the organization and staff. The staff, or lack of staff, seems to be the problem. Another employee told her " its not the right time to do this" but she ignored him. I hate to give Ross 3 because I love Ross but everytime I come here the bathrooms are just so gross. The store is nice inside and fairly organized but the bathrooms are always revolting! Tonight there was literally a giant pile of used toilet paper in both stalls and it smelled so gross. Not to mention there wasn't any toilet seat covers so I decided to just hold it in and wait till I go home.
