My experience here tonight was disgustingly unacceptable. I purchased four lovely shirts for work. They were all clean with no stains when I brought them to the blue-lipped check out girl. Not the same story when I got them home. I immediately put on my favorite of the new shirts, looked down, and was horrified to see the chewed up stick of someone's Sucker. The spit stick was hanging firmly to my shirt by little, blue remains of the candy, the same candy that had been in someone else's mouth (hence the name 'spit stick') and--suspiciously enough--resembled the same subtle blue lip color of the check out girl. Now, I'm not saying she spit her Sucker trash in with my newly purchased clothes, but two plus two does equal four. The only other possibility that I can see is that the spit-stick was already in the plastic bag that the girl threw my clothes into. Either way, it's disgusting and unacceptable. I called the store and spoke with Jamie, the supervisor on duty, and she was utterly useless. I hardly doubt I will be doing business with Ross ever again. read more

My mother was shopping at Ross today and she has a disability that causes her to use the bathroom often. The staff at Ross refused to let her use the bathroom and she had to rush over to Kohl's on her scooter. Kohl's immediately gave her access to their bathroom. So, she decided to do her shopping at Kohl's. She's never going back to this Ross location. Apparently, Ross don't know the ADA apply to public spaces or just don't care. This means the store suppose to allow access to people with the kind of disability that makes it difficult to control the need to use the bathroom... I give them zero stars. *smh* read more

Like the other reviewer I find how they treat customers pretty offensive. Wanna go to the bathroom or try on a 6 dollar cheap shirt? Expect a huge hassle and to be treated like a thief. They will make you put your items on a hanger. They won't touch them until you do. If you do happen to like any of the, they will force you to put them back up on then look at you and ask if you want any of them while they stand over them guardedly. I probably wont return to the store, I can go to tj max 100 ft a way and not be treated like a thief. read more

Most of the shelves were bare. But what really was bothersome to me was the customer service. I was waiting in line for the cashier and one of her friends, possibly also an employee who wasn't working, cut the line. They proceeded to sit and gossip as a line formed behind me. Then when it was my turn to checkout, the lady who cut the line remained by the counter and continued to gossip with the cashier. At one point the cashier told her "Yeah, she's on the clock but in the back napping." referring to another coworker at the store. Not a pleasant experience, horrible customer service. read more

I went in late in the evening, and I went to the dressing room in the rear of the store. The attendant didn't give any indication that the dressing room had different hours than the store. While I'm in the rear dressing room, I hear an announcement that the rear dressing room is closed, and the dressing room in the front of the store is now open. What?! Needless to say, that put a damper on the experience. read more

I see a lot of negative comments about this Ross, which is unfortunate! Hopefully it's improved. My first visit was in January 2017 and I had absolutely no problems. It was easily the cleanest, best organized Ross store I have ever visited. read more

The occasional good find can be had here but what I really didn't like was the loss prevention guy being a stalker. And my sisters tell me he follows them too whenever they come here. At least he is consistent. Even going into the dressing rooms is like going thru a TSA checkpoint almost. It's just strange. Everyone has the loss prevention people but normally they aren't wearing a huge badge that says that, thereby making you feel singled out when he is following you around the store. My daughter was visiting from out of town and we had the rare opportunity to go clothes shopping. We chose to go to Ross's in Lawrence. We arrived at 7 pm and discovered they just closed the dressing rooms. They had 2 temporary dressing rooms set up towards the front of the store. There was a long line. We spent more time in line than we did shopping. When it was finally our turn, both of our temporary dressing rooms smelled of a cross between crotch rot, athletes foot and body odor of a peddler. I was terrified of catching something that was not curable. I had no idea what the culprit of these odors had been trying on and was afraid we might be trying something on that contained their body fluids. We left the clothes we were interested in purchasing and went to Kohl's. read more

I went to the store with my husband and I spend the 1 hour 30 minutes in the store. I buy from woman and kids and men's clothes. When I went to the Check out the lady name Amy who was at the cash register she was so her job very unprofessional she was throwing the all the clothes without folding just rapping up like a burritos and put it up in the begs. When I told her after you scan the clothes just give it me so I can fold properly but she say until I pay she can't give me the clothes she think I m going to take the clothes without paying her. After I told her when I come last time someone else who check me out she let me hold the clothes so why you can't she say it is wasting her time because there is a 4 more customer behind me plus only 1 register was open. After I told to her call your manager she call her the manager came her name is JAIMA she is such a rude and she say same thing as Amy said after she was told me and my husband to leave the store she is such a rude lady I ever seen she was angry and rude as a manager no respect to the customer at all. I think she doesn't deserve that position at all. After I told Amy do the separate transaction for each clothes she say that's fine but the manager JAIMA was say no after we did purchase and our total for the purchase with the 3 different transaction comes up 400$. That manger doesn't have any customer service at all. No smile no sorry or no bye upon on the check out she was just staring to us like she will going to eat us. This is such a bad. I will tell everyone on my Freind and family not to go to that store. Hopefully someone teach the lesson to that rude and arrogant manager. I love Ross normally. I think they have great prices and their plus size and dress selection is the best. However, this location in general has terrible customer service, terrible security that's pushy and condescending. Like, honestly, I'm not going to steal your $4 goddamn clothing. Back off a little bit. Separately, I would like to know why in the hell you would place a price sticker on the glass of a picture frame. Its not even worth the pain in the ass that it is to get the sticker off of the glass. Never wasting my money there again. read more

I actually used to shop in this Lawrence location a lot b/c sometimes they have great finds. However, recently the store added these two front fitting rooms that open up in the later hours. It's terrible. People go in them and don't come out. One night, kids where laughing inside the bigger one and spent about 40 minutes while the staff in the register couldn't care less. I had to wait that long. Too bad, I prefer Kohls or TJMax, now where you are treated decently and they don't treat you like a criminal. Horrible customer service too. read more

This place is horrible for returns bought my son a new pair of shoes he didn't like them so I went to exchange them for another pair and they refused to even help me. They said my son wore the shoes all he did was try them the fuck on and returned them within a day such bull shit fuck this staff. read more

Received a POINTLESS phone call from the "store manager" in regards to my poor experience at Ross. The only reason for the call was to indicate that her manager was on lunch break at the time my young daughter needed to use the restroom, therefor could not get around to opening the door for my 3-year-old to use the PUBLIC restroom during NORMAL business hours. She indicated that due to new policies, when fitting rooms are closed so are the restrooms. You might as well just indicate you have no public restroom. She said "there is a bathroom next door at Kohls you can use" Lady, if YOU were shopping at a store with a RESTROOM IN IT and you have a young child PLUS items you would like to purchase literally in your hand.... are you going to be a happy camper if you have to put everything down or try to check out as quickly as possible to make it to the bathroom before your child has an accident???? U.N.A.C.C.E.P.T.A.B.L.E. Absolutely infuriated and extremely disappointed in this location and every employee and manager I have encountered this past year. Shame on all of you.
