I am very conscious of the prices for everything when I shop in these stores, but I can almost always find something. On this particular visit, I didn't make a purchase, but as usual, they had quite a few food items that I can find at other locations and I keep in mind for when they need arises. I've been really considering a new vacuum cleaner, and I have found some really good deals on them here but my only issue is that every one of them does wet and dry and they are all remanufactured products. That doesn't mean anything is wrong with them, but I am looking for just a regular dry vacuum cleaner. Either way I have to save up the money to get one. I have found quite a few kitchen items that I would find useful, but I just don't have room for at the moment. I always check their book section and quite frequently. I find something worth reading. Like the other locations I have been to. I received a greeting when I came through the front door and multiple employees were pleasant to me and offered assistance as I was shopping. As they have an ever-changing in inventory they are definitely worth checking out on a regular basis.

I had never heard of Gabe's until they took over this spot but they have been around since the 60's and started in West Virginia. They have locations throughout Eastern US and acquired Old Time Pottery a couple of years ago. You will notice many items with Old Time Pottery labeling which is a little confusing. The store feels massive inside, even though it is likely the same square footage as OTP. You can view all 4 walls walking in. Overall, it reminded me of a Ross crossed with a Walmart but cheaper. They have a variety of departments at inexpensive prices. Shoes, clothing, indoor and outdoor home decor, kitchen, household organization, rugs, pet supplies, electronics and toys. They also had name brand items like Nike and Ryka at very low prices. It's a bit overwhelming because it is so massive but I appreciate the variety all in one store. Staff could not be found anywhere on the floor so if you have questions, you likely need to go to the checkout area. I didn't buy anything today so not sure how efficient the checkout lanes are but plan to come back when I have more time.

It is a large retail outlet similar to Marshall's, Ross or Beall's Home Centric. They have great prices and carry closeouts from many other retail chains. The Orlando area location is Ocoee which is at the corner of West Colonial and Maguire road. Just a few blocks off the SR 50 exit on the FL Turnpike. I noticed brands from Kohl's, Target, Loft, Ann Taylor, Lucky's, Bebe, Lands End, Lane Bryant, Banana Republic, Gap and many others carried by Ross and Marshall's. The brand names on tags are sometimes blacked out or the brand name may be cut out of the tag. I did see Adidas, Reebok and Avis but I did not see designer brands. They have many departments in this store. Clothing, luggage, purses, shoes, accessories and some personal care. Bed and bath, home decor, patio, kitchen, rugs and food items. They have clearance signs in all departments. They have a good rewards program called 'unbelievable Rewards.' Gabe's is discontinuing their text program in Sept 2025 however customers can get alerts and deals through the Gabe's app. I would recommend signing up for rewards beforehand or at the register checkout. You get 25 points for signing up and every $50 in points generates a $5 coupon. Coupons expire in 30 days. Coupons can be used towards clearance merchandise. The service was friendly both on the sales floor and at checkout. I purchased Vera Wang, Croft and Barrow, Loft, Bandolino, Land and Sea, A New Day (Target), Banana Republic and Hanes multipacks. 6 tops, two pants and two intimates for $40. I earned a $5 coupon on my first shopping trip. Positives: Price Selection Rewards are easy to earn Friendly staff and easy parking Fun for bargain shoppers The rug department they had tables where you can unroll rugs to examine them. This is a cute little shop that has very affordable plants, but it's not just a plant shop. They also have a tea bar in the back where you can make your own tea mix and they will fill up sachets for you. They also sell tea you can drink while you walk around. They have gifts like journals, books, dried flowers, crystals, sage, zero waste gifts like bamboo toothbrushes and reusable paper towels and more. My favorite part of this store is the plant section. They have a huge selection of baby plants as well as medium sized plants. They are small, so they are affordable. My entire living room wall started out with baby plants from this shop. Now, they've grown into a beautiful indoor garden. If you're unsure about which plants to get, they have signs explaining what each plant is and what light and how much water it needs. I specifically came in to pick up some Epson salts as it tends to be cheaper to get it there than it does through local chain stores. The line was incredibly long yet again, but that's pretty common for this location. It's rare that you don't have to stand in line for at least 20 minutes. Was school starting back up I'm sure they lost a lot of their summer staff and they just have not been able to get it staffed at this point in time. When I went to check out the, associate who I approached appeared to be in training, but her trainer seemed either annoyed with her trainee or was just having an off day. The trainee spent more time talking to other associates than she did to me and I could clearly tell that the trainer was getting annoyed. I've also noticed this location they sell a lot of things so quickly. There are literally lines there at 9:30 in the morning of people waiting to get in to try to buy things that are viral in multiples just so they can resell them.

I also looked at some of the hot dogs as I was requested by a family member to pick them up and they were sold out of almost everything or at least appear to be because the shelves were completely empty. I have found that this becoming more of a challenge in this location where the shelves are empty but yet they show things in stock so you have to try to track down an employee so they can go hunt in the back to try to find it.
