Being a self-proclaimed regular reader, I've been to many libraries in my life. Some were small,…read morehad a limited selection of books and DVDs, and reaked of nasty little children. The library I grew up with always had tiny asian kids running around causing a raucus (I was one of them, till age 10). Nevertheless, I was really impressed as I drove up to this beautiful glass building with regal architecture (for Perrysburg, anyhow). There are several dropboxes in the front of the building guided by the driveway. Why leave your car in 19 degree weather? Inside the building, it's clean and well-lit, and the room is lined with plenty of places to sit. Along with plushy chairs, there are neat little booths all around that you can sit in to do some work. The children's section takes up about half the main floor. I haven't ventured in there to claim MY Harry Potter, but it looks impressive and spacey. There are also several computers that are surprisingly not ancient. What surprised me most about this library was it's vast, up-to-date DVD collection. There's no limit on how many DVDs you can check out, and you can hold it for 1 week. You can also check out books for up to 4 weeks, which is pretty amazing. I remember the good old days when books can be borrowed for only 2. The librarian at the desk was super friendly, and kind enough to mention some cool things of note, especially after we mentioned we were both librarians who worked with kids! So jealous of this beautiful children's' dept.! We loved the gorgeous tile work around the walls, the Nancy Drew special collection, and how inviting the space was, especially with all of the displays the kids can climb on and into! Would definitely bring kids here!

When I parked I knew this place would be a spot that we would be coming to, often. This library has so much to offer. Not only do they have an abundance of books, but they have learning rooms, adult events, children events, an amazing children's library section, a rooftop terrace to enjoy a book or a nice beverage, many classes, the list goes on and on. When we finally made our way to the children's section I was wowed by the aquariums, Dr Seuss room, large car like jungle gym and the staff. They had so much information to provide and hosted so many events. What an amazing library. The best I've ever been to by far.

I rarely leave with less than the limit of the number of titles that can be checked out. The building and the grounds are really beautiful, with ample parking. I love a branch where the patrons behave themselves! The seating is plentiful inside, with some nice easy chairs scattered throughout. My only wish is that the state of Ohio shifts come funding back to our library system so the hours could improve!

The library is quiet (duh) and well maintained. They have many public computers for others to use, easy parking right out front, and my personal favorite is you can put books on hold and pick them up right by the computers. Pete was extremely kind and thoughtful in explaining to me how to proceed. That kind of professionalism is always most appreciated. In addition to the customary books, you can check out movies, music, magazines, and even ebooks. Miss Heidi, one of the children's librarians, does a fantastic baby story time and an equally fantastic story time for 2-5 year olds. Another great perk is that you can request any library material from any Toledo library and it will be sent here. When it arrives, they email you. You wouldn't believe how much easier this makes my life as the mother of an actve toddler!

This library branch has computers, and is a wifi "hot spot". It is much used by the residents of this area of town, and if the schools ever shut down the ambitious kids could almost educate themselves here. It is a great resource for the community.

I would definitely recommend this is a Place to read, work & introduce children to a love of libraries. The unfortunate downside is that most of the sitting space is for computers, as most of the patrons are using those- not books . The book section is very pop culture.
