Being a self-proclaimed regular reader, I've been to many libraries in my life. Some were small,…read morehad a limited selection of books and DVDs, and reaked of nasty little children. The library I grew up with always had tiny asian kids running around causing a raucus (I was one of them, till age 10). Nevertheless, I was really impressed as I drove up to this beautiful glass building with regal architecture (for Perrysburg, anyhow). There are several dropboxes in the front of the building guided by the driveway. Why leave your car in 19 degree weather? Inside the building, it's clean and well-lit, and the room is lined with plenty of places to sit. Along with plushy chairs, there are neat little booths all around that you can sit in to do some work. The children's section takes up about half the main floor. I haven't ventured in there to claim MY Harry Potter, but it looks impressive and spacey. There are also several computers that are surprisingly not ancient. What surprised me most about this library was it's vast, up-to-date DVD collection. There's no limit on how many DVDs you can check out, and you can hold it for 1 week. You can also check out books for up to 4 weeks, which is pretty amazing. I remember the good old days when books can be borrowed for only 2. The staff is made up of friendly old women and nerdy clerks. I love this library. Sign out of facebook and check it out, Perrysburgers.

Well both sides will be happy. A great library with all the modern amenities and clean, well cared for. Everybody from 2 to 20 to 200 years old will love this library.

Attending classes to obtain a license for work. The classes are brutal, but aren't they all?!…read moreOverall the place is clean, there is plenty of parking, the coffee is always fresh and plenty.

This is the worst excuse for an educational experience that I have ever encountered. It is obvious…read morethat Hondros could not care less about the quality of instruction, mainly because this class is required for licensure. I understand why a business would decline to invest in this type of class, as people only take it if they absolutely have to, but this level of incompetence is beyond any reasonable interpretation of a business decision. The reputation of Hondros is irreparably damaged by this class. I'm sitting in Real Estate Practices and Procedures right now. This is a required class to receive a real estate license in Ohio. I expected it to have little or no educational value, but the actual experience is far worse than I could have imagined. The subject matter is such that an average GED holder would not have a hard time getting a real estate license, so I'd expect an instructor that could manage to explain the principles correctly. The number of mispronounced words and incorrect statements by the instructor is amazing. It's been a considerable number of years since I've seen this kind of deficiency in any profession, let alone in an instructional setting. I'm fairly certain that students are actually being hindered by this class, and would be far better off just taking the test cold. Luckily for Hondros, the state won't let that happen. If I had any other option, I would walk out of this class right now. The instructor has been reading the book to us for several hours, as if this is a reading class for children at the library. Beyond that, she stumbles over words and cannot pronounce anything with more than 3 syllables. Literally, she is just reading the book to the class. I had not considered suicide until I took this class. If I weren't writing this review right now, I'd be contemplating how I would off myself the next time she gets to a word she can't read. I'm not even kidding; it's that bad. I feel like Hondros needs to pay a bit more than minimum wage to get someone a little better in here. They are clearly not hiring people with any sort of teaching or public speaking background. The instructor seems to be just an out-of-work agent that needs some income. This is just embarrassing. I've never written a review on here before, but I feel like I need to share this horrid experience with the public. If you are considering taking this class, I would consider another career. There are two other places in town to take these classes. I'd encourage you to go there instead, regardless of the cost difference. The extra money is worth it if you can avoid this suicide-inducing ridiculousness that I am currently enduring. That said, the facility is of adequate cleanliness, has plenty of parking, and is conveniently located. However, I can only give one star because of the deficient classroom experience.
