    Oxtail croquettes and corn appetizer

This was the first restaurant we ate at when we arrived in Lisbon and it made us so excited for the rest of the food we were going to experience. This is a rooftop restaurant that looks out onto the water and some of the landscape with beautiful buildings and houses. We sat at a small table with cushioned chairs that were very comfortable and were positioned nicely to look out at the view. The rooftop also had a DJ that played great music that was not too loud, but really elevated the vibe. The service was great. It might be a cultural difference from the US, because we experienced it at every restaurant we visited while in Lisbon, but they never rushed us or bothered us to order quickly, while still checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious here. We ordered two appetizers and the burger to share between two people and it was plenty of food. The star of the show were the oxtail croquettes. They were incredible and continued to order more because we could not get enough. We also ordered cocktails and a bottle of green wine which were both delicious as well. The next time I am traveling to Lisbon, I will definitely be back to this rooftop restaurant.

We had a rental appartement for a few days not far from here. So we passed this place every morning and every late night before sleep. It's one of the main sights to visit in Lisbon and it's a nice sight, even though there isn't much on the square itself. But it's what is around and/or near it. And there's lots around here. In the Center of course the Statue of Dom Pedro, giving this square its name (also known as Rossio), flanked by two impressive fountains on both ends of the square. Several Restaurants and shops can be found all around the square. Skip on the chain food restaurants and grab a cherry shot at "A Ginjinha" or get some local food at "Tasca Pomb'alina". Even at night the place was well lit and felt safe until around 1am when we were still walking around. There's some hassle when some guys try to sell you "cocaine" or "heroine"....a polite but firm "no thanks" settles the situation. This square is a good start to explore Lisbon, head into the old town areas or down to the water or up to the castle. It's a lovely city.

This was the cutest sweetest place. My husband and I were just here for our anniversary last…read moreSaturday night and found the staff so sincere and kind. The restaurant was quaint and intimate , with a small buffet that easily fills you up. There were many options from a beef stew to a curry, a noodle dish with bacon, salad, and other options. They even explained the options to us. I truly wish we had more time in Lisbon because I would have definitely returned to try it again as the options differ nightly. I would definitely recommend this to all in Lisbon.

If your in Lisbon, this is one of those must do places…read more A Portuguese buffet, where everything tastes like someone's grandma just made it. Impeccable service. Cozy, almost romantic atmosphere. And just €16 per person for all you can eat! The menu changes nightly so here were the stars for me: Creamed cod. Might not sound appetizing but this was insanely good. Not too fishy. Veggie lasagna - really great flavors and you sneak in some vegetables. All the sides: mashed potatoes were delicious, the rice is a staple, the couscous was perfect, the carrot soup made me say DAMN! The service was amazing. The two gentleman there ran an entire packed restaurant effortlessly. Helping customers with drinks, explaining the concept and each dish to every person that came in. We washed it down with a pitcher of white sangria (drinks and desserts are extra). We literally couldn't move. We walked back to the hotel instead of taking an Uber simply to walk some of it off. One of the most memorable meals I had in Lisbon.
