I think I spent around 4 or 5 years looking for a brilliant stylist who would actually listen to me and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Then I found Bliss in my own backyard. Its owner, Julieann, is the only person I will EVER let near my hair now. And at £7 for a funky style, just the way I like it, it's become absolute favourite hairdressers. The staff are lovely and you're always guaranteed to have a laugh when you visit as they talk about what they did last weekend!

The stylist was polite and helpful, enquiring what I wanted done and then offering her own thoughts about the style. This was as good as the experience got. It all went down hill from here. For some obscure reason there was no mirror in front of me. I asked for small plaits at various sections. Check? negative, missing. I also asked that it would be elegant and not over the top. Check? Negative. Well, what I finally saw in the mirror can only be described as a monstrosity. My hair was everywhere in all directions. I looked like I had been dragged through a bush backwards. There was a sort of Mohawk on the top of my head and masses of volume everywhere else. I could have died. I had to walk home like this! The only reason I paid was because I wanted to get out of that shop as soon as humanely possible. Well I'll tell you I went home and my friend (who's a guy!) fixed it to a standard I don't think those girls had ever even heard of. One spot I'll not be visiting again!

I went here to get my quite grown out roots dyed back to my light blonde. Instead of me having an even blonde throughout my hair I had a 5cm ring of actual orange from my scalp with my mid lengths to ends a light creamy blonde. I even stated it was orange when she was about to dry my hair to which her reply was, that it'd go once it was dried. I got back to my house and could clearly see that it was dark orange not even on the blonde scale whatsoever. I rang up to complain and asked for the manager. I was then asked to return to see the hair. I got there for her to admit it was orange (she could see it was an awful job). So she booked me an appointment the next day first thing to get it fixed NO CHARGE. For her to then turn round and imply it was my fault as that was what I had asked for. I returned the next day to be told that I'd be required to make a further payment for them to fix their mistake and even though the manager had admitted it was orange. I assumed they would be able to do their job and fix it so I let the girl do it. Their solution was to just put few highlights through it. It did not remotely fix it. I cannot stress enough to AVOID this place. This hairdressers is without a doubt the worst salon I have ever been to. I should have noticed the signs that all the customers that were there were older ladies just needing their hair washed. Cannot stress enough, STEER CLEAR from this place.

To cut a long story short, I wanted a side fringe, with some blonde highlights through my hair and a trim. What I got was a full fringe with orange highlights and ended up getting about four inches taken off my hair when all I asked for was a trim. Also, the lady barely spoke a word to me throughout my sitting, which made things very uncomfortable. I'm really self conscious about my hair and was very upset about this, at the time. I appreciate that I might have just had a one off, but I'm sorry, I won't be recommending.

This hair salon is up there with the best in County Antrim and I have used many over the years…read more Even just driving up the small country lane surrounded by a couple of llamas!!, beautiful green fields that stretch for miles and a first class golf course, you find yourself relaxing before you even reach the salon. Even just taking a few minutes to sit in your car before going in and breathing in 'the sounds of silence' is just wonderful! At the end of the small lane, and just right on the edge of the golf course, are 2 beautiful charming and rustic white buildings. You could easily imagine them belonging to some country gentry many, many years ago. One houses Ollar Beauty and the other is the Hair Salon. The salon itself is full of atmosphere; there is lots of hustle and bustle and the staff are an absolute delight. When you walk in you are greeted by friendly and caring staff; their head massages are to die for and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. It is easy to see the friendship and warmth amongst the team there; most of them have worked there for several years and that in itself is the sign of a 'great place to work'. No-one is 'in your face' though and if you want a bit of 'rest and relaxation' whilst getting your 'do' done, then this will happen. You would expect for the setting and the quality of the staff for this to be up there with the 'high end price' salons but this is not the case. Prices are moderate in comparison and for the head massages alone, I would pay double............... Gillian, the owner runs a tight ship and the salon is clean, well stocked and staff are always 'doing something!' All in all, a great hair experience and one I would highly recommend if anyone wants first class styling done by a highly professional and welcoming team.

After an absolute nightmare trying (unsuccessfully) for somewhere to fit me in for a cut and colour, Andrea's was suggested to me by one of my friends. They were able to fit me in, that was 7 years ago and I have never gone anywhere else since. Turns out they do a better job than any hairdresser I had ever been to before. They always seem to do my hair exactly the way I like it, and the colours are always exactly what I'm looking for. The prices are very reasonable and most importantly, the staff are really friendly and actually take the time to listen to exactly what their customers want.
