I've seen some pretty rough reviews below so wanted to put in my two cents. I've been a patient of Dr. K for 12 years. He and his staff have always been courteous and professional. I've gone through a number of hygienists and all of them have been careful and meticulous. Dr. K has indeed offered suggestions to replace fillings and crowns, some of mine are pretty ancient, but has never placed pressure on me to do so. In general, I have been very pleased with service and his prices are right around market, so no complaint there. I had one experience there which was uncomfortable. He had to extract a tooth and practically had to put a knee of my chest to remove it. Look, this wasn't because he's a bad dentist, but because I have old tombstones in my mouth that are a bear to remove. Any other dentist would have needed to do the same and may not have done so without damaging nearby teeth. By comparison to many dentists I have seen over my many years, he is one of the best. I am only providing four stars because I have never seen a dentist who is perfect and I don't want to seem like I am gushing. If you're looking for a solid dentist who provides kind and professional care at a reasonable price, you will be happy with Dr. K. And if you need a cracked crown replaced, he can build you a permanent one in his office in the same day. read more

Hubs and I had a very pleasant first experience with Modern Dentistry. We are new to the area and needed a dentist near our home. From the folks at the front desk, to the dental hygienists, to the dentist himself - everyone was kind and professional. Ample covid precautions were in place. The dental check was thorough and we were happy with the results of the cleaning. First visits at a new dentist are always a bit longer with all the scans and such, but this was as enjoyable as it could have been. Super clean facility and indeed modern. The fees are also very reasonable. We were happy with our choice. Whatever you do don't take any stock in five-star ratings, I have gone to 6 different dentists with five-star ratings to get a decaying tooth taken care of, and all of them took my money but didn't solve my problem. Modern dentistry was the last one, I went in, with my x-rays and the tooth number that needed to be taken care of, they said they needed to take more x-rays which they did not, none of the others needed to, just him, which I let him and paid for because I wanted the tooth out, they made me an appointment for three weeks out and made me pay 378.00 up front, in the meantime I ended having an emergency extraction by another doctor because I was in so much pain. I called the office and cancelled my appointment because I didn't need his services anymore and asked that my money been refunded, as of today they still haven't given me my money back. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and with the AG. read more

Don't understand all the 5 star reviews for this dentist. I did see one 2 star review, and that's more accurate. He is a money monger. The 2 star review related that he wants to replace existing fillings, do unnecessary X-rays, etc. Anything to run up the bill! Someone else mentioned that he used great caution during Covid. He seemed to until he finally admitted to me that he was using a thermometer that was broken. I wondered aloud why they had to take the temperature 4-5 times, and he finally admitted the truth. He actually told me that I would be jeopardizing his practice if I didn't have a full set of X-rays taken every 6 months. His front desk let it slip to me one day that I had money on account there! That had never been brought to my attention nor had they attempted a refund. After that, I left the practice, and it was a good decision! read more

All around positive experience with Dr. K and all of his staff! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. After coming from a series of less than great experiences elsewhere in the past I was relieved to find a dentist office that goes the extra mile. With all the uncertainty surrounding this Covid pandemic, I must say that Modern Dentistry in Roswell has gone above and beyond protecting patients and staff. I was greeted at the car, answered a few questions and had my temperature and oxygen level checked before entering the main office. As an RN I know excellent infection control practices when I see them. As always the staff was professional, knowledgable and friendly. I was happy with my cleaning, Dr K's exam and discussion of my treatment plan. They have modern technology to get this done more efficiently. They handle all sorts of dental needs in house. They also have massage chairs. They are not pushy! This is probably THEE best dental office I have ever been to. Everyone is so nice, inviting & engaging. The office is state of the art - super clean, big screens to view shows or your own x-rays & massage chairs! My hygienist was super engaging and took her time - which makes a big difference. The doctor is great too, knowledgeable but not pushy - I loved that he gives you the facts, recommendations and allows you to decide your timeline to come back. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a few years because I get anxious and then it had been so long I didn't want to get a "lecture". The staff at Shallowford Creek were so nice and caring. They didn't judge and they just made straightforward recommendations. The office is very nice, clean, and all the equipment is new. Dr. K even personally emailed me to give me recommendations on how to maximize my insurance contribution by timing the work I need done. They spent a good amount of time with me making me feel comfortable and checking my teeth and gums very well. I will be back for sure for my next cleaning (no more fear and waiting)! read more

Wow! I needed a dentist close by, who is open on Fridays (do you realize how many dentists don't want to work on Friday afternoons?!). I read the reviews for Dr. Kakadia and decided this would be a good office to try as all the reviews were great. Wow! I had an amazing experience in this office, as they ARE great! First, Dr. Kakadia is very personable, kind, and approachable. (I left my last dentist because she was not those things.) He is very skilled, and there was no hard sell approach as I have had in other dentist offices. He laid out the facts, made a recommendation, and let me decide when to have the work done. First and foremost, I TRUSTED HIM, and with good reason - during the exam I felt the probe go into a cavity, and knew there was one there before he told me. The office is super modern, beautiful and clean. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The hygienist who worked on me went back and redid an area if she felt it was not sufficiently clean to her liking. Again, wow! After my initial exam and cleaning, I elected to have some work done the next day. Dr. Kakadia was very accommodating to my special needs. What was amazing was he not only showed me pictures of my teeth at my dental exam, but on the day he did the work, he took a picture DURING the procedure of what the tooth looked like underneath the filling he had to take out. (Not sure how he did that. Mini cam on a probe??) After the procedure, I got to see before, during, and after pictures of the entire process. You really can't beat this combination of skill, great personality and approachability in the doctor, friendliness of the staff, cutting edge technology, and the clean and beautiful office. Dr. Kakadia is a fantastic dentist. He does my regular check-up/cleaning and recently did some cavity work for me. The office is clean, comfortable and equipped with state of the art equipment. Just to give you an idea, they had a Nextflix movie going on a monitor above my head while they were filling my cavities! I wish I could give this office less than one star based upon their greed. They "explained" to my 25 year old daughter that her teeth were so dirty she needed a debridement Cleaning. The child survived braces without a cavity, brushes regularly, and has had regular cleanings before she moved out of my house. I know she was at Dr. Webbs for a cleaning last year. Now this Dr. Kakadia says she needs a cleaning reserved for "people who have not had their teeth cleaned in a long time" per MetLife Dental Insurance Co. This was her first and LAST visit to this place and she just went in for her free cleaning. So my waitress daughter, struggling to make ends meet and her card is declined so they have dig her tip money out and pay them in CASH!! I am sure the office is clean, and up to date and the employees are kind as long as you do not cross them. When I called back and complained, ask for her money back and told them I would file a complaint Casey contacted my daughter and said If I called again there would be repercussions for her, the patient. Dr. K is great, he communicates well and he listens well. He is thorough and you can tell he cares about his patients. I had my teeth cleaned and his dental hygienist was also extremely thorough. It's been almost 2 years since I've had a cleaning and I drink a lot of coffee, so I had many icky stains. She scraped and sprayed until my teeth looked new. The office is full of friendly people who were patient with me when I had my records sent over during my appointment, because I forgot to do it beforehand. The office is nice with comfy chairs. Lots of TVs if you like watching TV at the dentist, that's not really my thing though. I drove about 20 minutes to get here because the Google reviews were so good. It was worth the drive.
