This is my second visit to Cherokee Family Dentistry and my 2nd review. Both visits were the absolute best dentist experiences I've ever had. Just moved to Canton area and was looking for a long term practice. I'm so glad I found them. I can gladly say that every facet of the practice is exceptional beyond comparison. Debbie in the front office is sweet, kind, and a pleasure to work with. On the phone she is polite and knowledgeable with your appointments. I always get a reminder and there is never a problem with billing. Hope is amazing and does a fantastic job with teeth cleaning. Always a pleasant experience. I want to request her every time. Kayce is, in a word, fantastic! Such a wonderful personality and so knowledgeable and efficient. Engaging in conversation and makes you feel like I've known her forever. I felt I actually made a friend when I left! Dr. Koagel is a true professional. He explains everything before he starts and then explains it again as he's doing the procedure. No pain what so ever! I have previously had positive experiences here. However, today I received unacceptable care from the dental hygienist. Erin never advised me what she was about to do nor did she offer directions/explanations throughout the procedure. She was rough and now hours later my teeth and gums still hurt. Every measurement she took of my gums felt like an injection, she used my lips to brace her hand to remove the plaque and flossed my teeth with a painful vengeance. I have never had a worse nor more painful cleaning experience than this. Throughout the procedure, I flinched and grimaced. She was indifferent. I am shocked that this office, which has such a good reputation, would hire someone as incompetent and poorly trained as this RDH. I will not return. This is not the standard of care that I expect from a reputable practice. read more

Very nice in office. My crown was great. It fit so good that I did not even need to adjust the fit. Hygienist was so nice and caring. I have sensitive teeth and wasn't sure I could stand working around the gum line. She was so understanding and suggested using a numbing medicine first and let it take effect. It worked! Awesome! One word can sum up this Dentistry. Great staff and Dr. Lewis is professional and caring. I appreciate her attention to detail and the comfort level I experienced during a very uncomfortable procedure. If this dentist seems out of the way for you, make the drive, you will be glad you did.
