A separate park for smaller dogs - mowed, fenced and benches to relax in - tress for shade, it's an ideal spot. The larger dog off-leash area is also fenced, and connected to the small dog space so they can still see eachother and greet through the chainlink. There is 2-3x the room to run around for the larger dogs, but we ended up taking our beagles to the small-dog area so we could work on recall training without distraction of the other dogs making us run so far to get them back ;-) It was windy and the weather was spotty, but it was still a busy place with folks & dogs coming and going while we were there. Do bring some mosquito spray and a hat. Definitely a great spot to locate it right outside of an RV park, and near the main road. When in the area, we'll be back to visit.

They have 2 sections: the main section and the small dogs section. When we attended most dogs were in the main section but there was one or two dogs in the small dog area. It is nice to have that because sometimes bringing a small dog to a dog park can be quite stressful for their owners. The added sense of safety is a nice thing to have. Both sections have some dog agility equipment but the main section has more stuff and larger pieces. It isn't a huge park but it is a great neighbourhood amenity for those people in the area. Once this neighbourhood is built out it will be interesting to see how popular the park is.

There is a trail that goes in a circle right around the park, I find that is a great place to start! It's a great place for doggies to come and get some socialization. Boating on the docks near the beach. Trails that lead to other campgrounds but if your looking to camp you may need to book. There lots of trees, play ground for the young ones, and trails for running, walking and cycling. Spruce Grove is fairly quiet town, close to Edmonton and a good place to relax and enjoy nature.

This is the largest spray park I've ever been too. There are always a lot of people there, but it hasn't been over crowded. Everything is clean and well taken care of as well. The parking lot is large and is very accommodating. There is a dry park just passed the spray park as well for kids to go play in while they are there as well. A definite must if you live in spruce grove or even the west side of Edmonton.

I love Heritage Lake Park. We've biked and walked here more times than I can count…read more The main lake is pretty close by if you want to go down the hill and go for a stroll as well. My chitlins have loved this park for years because the bigger kid section is decent and then there is a toddler section separated by a sidewalk as well. My littlest one loves that the toddler section has monkey bars that he can reach and I must say this park helped him perfect the skill that he can now easily use on big kid parks and monkey bars. There's a variety of equipment ranging from three side by side slides and swings. The structure itself is mostly wood so something to be aware of and I recommend barefoot play. The park itself has lots of open green area for a nap in the sun, frisbee, or a picnic. Shade is limited here as well as seating so I like to bring a blanket. Be seeing you soon Heritage Lake Park!

This community league park features two new playground structures on sand with a small little rubber ground spray pad in the middle that is sensor activated. The playground equipment was excellent featuring a toddler area with 2 baby swings and a school aged playground as well. Surrounding the park is lots of green space, a baseball diamond, basketball hoops, a small skate park, and a small grassy hill great for sledding with wee ones in the winter. An outdoor rink and building is also on site but closed today. No public washrooms but a port a potty was on site today. No green shack program here but they do have pop up play one morning and one afternoon a week with the same fantastic staff and activities as regular green shack sites in the city. The park itself gets 4 stars... The water part literally only had 3 features so it's more of a cooking off feature. Our kiddos were disappointed so I think if you sell it to your kids as a park with a water cool off spot that may go better. This is located just off St. Albert Trail near the Sherbrooke community. This community league park features two new playground structures on sand with a small little rubber ground spray pad in the middle that is sensor activated.
