There's a large parking lot for day hikers and picnickers, with clean washrooms and a some picnic table sites right on the water. There are a number of trail loops, all with fantastic signage and maps at every trail junction. Trails are ranked according to difficulty, with the advanced trail presenting some serious up and down hills to get your legs burning. The less hilly trails are great for families, and there are different lengths of trails depending on how much time you want to spend. The views of the different wetland areas along the trails were really beautiful, and we were even able to see a moose across one of the water bodies taking a drink. We loved hiking here for a couple of hours, and I saw some runners tackling the trails and hills - good for them!

It has great trails of various lengths for walking, running, biking (off road trail use) and in the winter snowshoeing and some tracks for cross country skiing. You can also bring your horses here to trail ride as well. Keep in mind as I said multi use. They have information boards about local wildlife and plant life and boards throughout pin pointing where the trails are and their difficulty ratings. There is a lake you can fish in or just canoe or kayak on. Also available are above ground fire stands you can BBQ on. There is a playground for the kiddies and picnic tables available. Ample parking, camp ground style bathroom facilities as well. It's worth checking out anytime of year!

I do go when it's a little quieter as my girl does like to play but can be reactive and dominate. There unfortunately, isn't a lot of availability and cost of private ones. She is more reactive on leash than without. It does have a little yard of agility equipment-- do be careful and look for sharp edges as some of it is left over wood and scrap metal. A lot of it is also kinda high. But my girl likes the smaller hoops and the tunnel. A-frame is too steep and high.

During the off-season it hosts many retreats, camps and other events through their rental programs. Founded in 1960 with the work of the Kiwanis Club of South Edmonton, this Kiwanis club and many other non-profit organizations and private individuals do much to support the organization and the ability to serve children and others with disabilities and offer a great summer camp facility. With boats, a climbing wall, a swimming pool, a ropes course, firepit and much more besides, this facility offers much for those who attend camps here. If your organization wants to rent it out for a camp, I would highly recommend booking as early as you can as it can be in high demand, particularly on weekend days. All sorts of organizations use it throughout the year including quilters, other student camps, college students, work retreats and more. The facilities are expansive and include accomodations of different types depending on your needs. I really love the food when attending events here. The kitchen staff are quite excellent and can deal with most dietary restrictions. This camp is also very well maintained and has some great common areas indoors and outdoors for use. Be aware however that local wildlife do venture quite close to camp (which can offer some great photo opportunities but also droppings from various animals and the potential for animal encounters). Overall a great facility and I'm very glad it exists! Staff are very helpful and friendly when dealing with your booking and with you while on site.

The overall vibe here in the summer is always amazing, and it's become one of those spots I genuinely love visiting. The staff have always been super friendly too, which makes the experience even better. If you get the chance, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out! I will say tho, their food can definitely be hit and miss, I got a taco in a bag and a poutine, the taco in a bag was okay.. nothing special, the beef inside wasn't super appetizing looking.
