If you don't know about this place, you are missing out. This is the place to go for discounted bread. You don't always know what you'll find, but it is always amazing. It is wall to wall carb heaven. And almost everything is $1.50. Usually lean into the Brioche breads and buns. They also have a nice selection of specialty breads (cinnamon raisin, holiday loafs, etc.). This is especially great when having larger get togethers. The associates are really nice and very helpful. They have multiple cashiers, so the wait is usually short to checkout. And my kids love getting the complementary roll. read more

I needed to 200+ slider buns and I had no problem getting them at ROTELLA'S BAKERY! So many options so much bread! Everyone was so very friendly and helpful..they now have a customer for life! Definitely worth spending the money in gas to get here for the savings on the bread! I got the 4 loafs and 2 packages of hamburger buns for only $7.55 which is about what you'd spent on one loaf at hyvee. It smells delicious outside of the doors, there's plenty of parking, lots of options, and the workers are friendly. They check out very quick and are always kind. If nothing else go to smell the bread!! They do have gluten free options in the freezer and keto options on the shelves! The one thing I will say is that if you are looking for a loaf that you really liked one day, it may not be there the next time because it's day old bread from what they're baking. If you're hosting any sort of gathering this needs to be the place you get all your buns! I used to say, whatever, I'll just get the at the big box store, or grocery store, but it's so worth it to come to the bakery and see what they have to offer. It's SO much more than just bread, and buns, theres all sorts of varieties and flavors, and the cost is too good. Even if you save a little getting the two packs at costco, this store is still much less expensive. We love Rotella bread. The quality is excellent and the price is decent at the grocery store. I was super excited to find out that you can stop in at the bakery itself and not only find a wide variety of breads, rolls, breadsticks, pizza dough, etc. But also many of the loaves are larger than you will find at the grocery store. Many of the loaves at the bakery are 2 pounds and cost around the same price you will pay for regular-sized loaves at the grocery store. The regular-sized loaves are 90 cents there, versus almost $3 at the grocery store. They have all the usuals that you will find at the grocery store, such as white, wheat, honey wheat, steakhouse twist, Texas toast, and Italian cookout. They also often have blueberry loaves, cinnamon raisin, Christmas loaves, onion rolls, marble rye, gluten-free, and many more. It's different every time you go in, depending on what they are putting out that day so there is always something new to try. It all freezes perfectly well so you can stock up on your favorites at quite a discount. The employees are always helpful, friendly, and efficient as well. It was a few hours before the Husker game and the place was packed with people buying all manner of buns, hoagies, and ciabatta rolls. The line was long but the staff keeps it moving very quickly. The prices always amaze me every time. I got 2 packages of frozen pizza dough, 2 loaves of Vienna bread, a package of hamburger buns and some fancy bacon flavored dog treats for only $8.10!! I love their prices! Yesterday (11/20/23) I spent less than $5 for 2 specialty loaves of bread, one package of premium buns and one loaf of sandwich bread. Also, the quality of their bread products is superior. However, I wish the associate that took my money could have been more polite and friendly. They had 4 cashiers going to handle the pre-Thanksgiving crowd, so I can only speak concerning the associate that took my money. She a) didn't respond at all to my "Hello", b) told me how much I owed, but didn't tell me how much change I had coming back when I tendered (only put the money in my hand), c) no "Thank You" was received of course, d) put my 4 items in 2 bags, but did not hand the bags to me. One was close to me, but I had to reach under the plastic "spit" guard to grab the other one, which was left closer to her than to me. Maybe I just expect to much. I am getting good, cheap bread, so maybe that justifies the lack of common customer courtesy that I received. The experience reminded me very much of the "Soup Nazi" episode on Seinfeld. I got 2 Vienna twist, a cinnamon raisin, and a bag of hard rolls for $3.50. One loaf of Twist is $3 at the grocery store. Let's talk about the Hard Rolls....they are amazing. My grandma would take me and my brother and sister here to get bread and would always let us have a hard roll. Then we would have a hard roll with hard salami and provolone for lunch. If you haven't experienced this, you haven't lived. $1.20 for a huge bag of hard rolls! Some people like to put them in the oven for a second. Either way, what a deal! If you are having a cookout, or party, they also have buns ! I will never pay full price for bread again. Pro tip; Try the marble rye! It's to die for! read more

I visited this location on Thurs. and Fri. of this week, seeking to buy loaves of multigrain or another type of whole grain bread and found only buns, rolls, potato bread (just out of the freezer), and french bread. The selection was nothing like it usually is. I am a frequent shopper there and the difference was startling. Oh Rotella's!!! This is a great little gem of a place if you appreciate delicoius breads! When I say breads, I mean a plethora of bread. From bread crumbs, to gluten free, to wheat, to cinnamon raisin to sour dough! It's all good and there's usually a line when it first opens up. The best thing about it? It's incredibly reasonable, almost cheap! It's THE best place to buy bread next to homemade. If you're in the neighborhood I suggest checking this place out. They are open normal day time hours and the last time I visited they were now able to take debit and credit cards!! Which is wonderful!! You can't beat the combination of cheap prices (I mean, 75 cents for a whole grain loaf of bread...seriously?!) and fresh product. On a Saturday morning the bakery is hoping with people and they only take cash or check. The line is contained within the shop though, so there's no standing outside. I bought my first loaf of marble rye at a local butcher shop in Kansas. I had been eying it for quite sometime. I thought the $3.59 price they were asking was a bit steep. Over the weekend I finally broke and bought a loaf. It is the BEST marble rye I have ever had. The crust is soft the bread is soft. I put half the loaf in the freezer thinking it would be just like any other marble rye I had tasted and would just go to waste in the freezer. Not this bread. It will be eaten up quickly and more bought in the future. It is well worth the $3.59 I paid at the butcher shop. Would definitely recommend this bread. read more

The bakery retail store can't be beat for freshness or cheapness, especially if you are buying sandwich sliced loaves or buns. Seriously only 75 cents a loaf or bag for most common things and only a buck for the "fancy stuff". The most expensive thing I've seen is the cinnamon raisin for $1.50 a loaf but it makes delicious toast. They sell great raw pizza dough too if you are feeling like making your own. The selection varies a bit with whatever they have overstocked but you can usually find what you need or close to it. They have early hours too so get there before 5 pm and it's closed Sundays. read more

I wish I lived closer because I LOVE to come here when I want some great bread. But what I really love is the pizza dough! You can get it frozen or thawed but if you get it thawed you have to be ready to use it that day. Everything is a great price because it's the bread that was messes up and didn't make the cut to be sent to the grocery store. Which it could be a simple thing like it got a little bit more browned or the packaging label had something wrong with it. The bread is perfectly fine though.
