I consider myself an expert reviewer. I get right to the heart of things. But that's typically with restaurants and movies -- very familiar territory. I don't know about you but I don't buy houses as often as I eat sushi. The last time I bought a home was 18 years ago. I frankly barely remember the experience. So I'm forced to review the Roth Real Estate Group with little else to compare them to, if you follow me. Add to it an accelerated Escrow -- which can make a smooth as silk operation feel stressful. What I will say is the Roth Group, in general, was Four Stars. If I use a plane analogy, "It was a good flight with just a touch of 'chop' here and there." So if I'm saying this was a Four Stars thing -- why is there a fifth star here on Yelp? Two words: Madeline Meighan. It's difficult to put in words how/why Madeline sealed the deal. It's mostly a feeling of being cared for by your agent. During the good flight with a little chop here and there, Miss Meighan was our reassuring Pilot -- who made sure we knew we were going to get to our destination on time and have a smooth landing. Had our plane not had this Pilot we'd have begun to panic under the pressure. We feel Madeline negotiated well. But instead of telling us all sorts of things we could do she simply created an area of 'trust me'. You see she has a very important skill: knowing when to speak and intuitively knowing when to back off. My significant other and myself can have a quiet way about us that sales people often mistake as an invitation to be pushy. Once they reveal that side of themselves they've already lost us as customers. I don't have Madeline's skill. (I'm a friendly/endearing/opinionated/poetic big mouth.) Why her skill is so important is that home buyers are painting a future picture of their lives. We must be allowed the room to imagine what that will look like.
