If I can rate this place as a 0/5 stars, I would My mother broke her wrist so she went to urgent care for the first time. Because the break is severe enough to needing surgery, my mom wanted to see an orthopedic specialist asap. The provider referred her to Rothman Orthopedics located at Lankenau Medical Center, which is 1 HOUR AWAY on 3:30pm. HOWEVER, my mom did not leave urgent care until 3PM but supposedly they told my mom that as long as theres an appointment made, it will be okay. We rushed through heavy traffic. I assumed that my mother was aware of the office hours. We made it to Rothman around 4:15pm. The problem is that there were no doctors available because they closed at 4:30PM. Not even on-call. I asked the receptionist if there is anything that they can do. She could have been EMPATHETIC and COMPASSIONATE to our situation. She was so non genuine and I could tell that once its close to closing time, she is mentally done, which is not acceptable. Mind you, my mother is in so much pain holding on to her wrist. The receptionist could have at least said "go to the ED" and/or be EMPATHETIC to our situation rather than looking at us with a blank stare. Even though my mother never saw the doctor in the office, the experience with the receptionist was not acceptable. I would NOT recommend this place if you want to be treated with respect and with care. read more

I visit the center city office when I can't handle the pain in my knee due to osteoarthritis. The people making the appointments are very accommodating and the staff are very efficient .I have never had a problem with the doctors or the medication When I leave their office after I receive my shot I can walk upright without pain. Problem solved .And isn't that the point of going ? read more

Had left total Hip replacement on 1/30/18 and right total Hip Replacement 7/16/18 by Dr. Carl Deirmengian and thank the Lord for getting referrals from my rheumatologist Dr Gordon and Cardiologist Dr.Khan. The surgery and recovery amazing. The care and compassion from Dr. Carl Deirmengian was so comforting, he is a genuine caring surgeon and his assistants are really on top of everything. Lankenau is so fortunate to have this amazing compassionate surgeon, I am truely grateful for the care I received at Lankenau with Dr. Deirmengian, as well as Dr. Gordon and Dr. Kahn. read more

Never again! I have never felt such lack of empathy, care or ability to answer administrative questions in a doctor's office before. I should have known from the first appointment. It was a sincere disappointment considering the reputation. It took all of 10 minutes and ended with me leaving to find my own MRI facility. My second visit, after my MRI, I simply received a diagnosis and an appointment for the surgeon (maybe 10-15mins.?). In the Surgical consult, the surgeon was kind enough, but also did not spend a lot of time and wanted to schedule surgery right away. I signed consents and left with an understanding that a person from scheduling would call me (as I needed to discuss dates with my husband) and someone from the financial office would be in touch to discuss the financial obligations. Two days after, I had still heard nothing and called the office to find that 'because I was the last patient' the day I saw the surgeon, my paperwork would have been processed the next day. However, I was told that the person who took my paperwork was out of the office until Monday (for 3 days post appt.) and has my paperwork. I asked if there was a way to access my paperwork and continue the process and I was told that the paperwork moves from office to office and only the person who took it can access it. OK. So I ask if my consents for surgery and such (PHI) are kept in a locked box when traveling to various sites. The PA on the phone did not know. I am terrified to have the type of surgery I require and felt I received little assistance nor care from what is supposed to be a premier facility. Did no one think to follow up with patients to let them know what is going on? Do they comply with HIPAA when transporting my paperwork? Do I need more anxiety and stress? If I can't trust them with my paperwork how can I trust them with my body? No, I needed to feel heard! Needless to say, I will not be getting my surgery through Rothman and have chosen to go elsewhere. I have already received a more caring response from the new doctor's office. I just hope I don't have a difficult time retrieving my medical records (xrays/mri, etc for which I am paying). Good luck to those folks who have also had a negative experience with Rothman. So much for best practice and a caring manner!! So disappointed! read more
