The quality of service, pricing for service, and the additional information provided was above and beyond. John came out and immediately gave me a ton of information. A previous plumber gave me bad information that John came and proved wrong. He showed me everything he was doing, explained everything, and fixed the issue without costing me $5-6,000 (according to the previous plumber). read more

Called them, and within the hour they were able to send Chris and Jacob over to unclog my kitchen sink! And fix the leak that occurred after my hubbys attempt to fix it himself. Very pleasant gentlemen and professional! read more

This company is terrible. They did an awful job last time they were out and now they want to charge another fee to fix the issue that they didn't fix last time. I say boycott this company. There are standards to live by in this city and they do not meet the requirements. Poor customer service. Even worse technicians. read more

I think that Roto-Rooter Drain Services is a good company to call when you are having problems with your drains. They have a camera that can go in your drain to tell you and the guy that comes over what they would be dealing with. Dave and the rest of the guys are great. When ever I have a drain problem I call Roto-Rooter. And I'm always thinking about the song thats on their radio ad. "Roto-Rooter thats the name, and away goes trouble down the drain. Roto-Rooter." I mean come on, they moved to Sioux Falls South Dakota from Iowa. So they have to be good. And the owner Jerry Cozard, also owns a trenching company. So call them up and give them your business. You won't regret it. read more

Ordered 10 tons of screened black dirt delivered for vegetable garden and flower beds. Dirt…read moredelivered looked literally like it had been scraped from a demolition site. It was full of concrete debris, asphalt pieces, plastic garbage, rocks and had enormous clumps of mud. It clearly had not been screened, which means tons of additional labor and contaminants in my garden. Contacted 1st Rate and was told there was nothing wrong with what had been delivered and they refused to do anything to rectify the situation except to charge me $200 to remove it. As it stands, I have a huge pile of junk dirt in my driveway, which I now have to give away to whoever is willing to take it. If First Rate Excavate can't be trusted with something as simple as a delivery of screened topsoil, I DEFINITELY wouldn't hire them for larger projects.

So because they were helpful we bit the bullet paid the $400 to get that fixed even though they had to come back about do a little more and then we were told that we had additional problems, which unfortunately leads me to wonder. When you get an estimate with no breakdown where this total price is coming from and are just told a an amount with tax. That is not a trusting estimate.

I've had Roto-Rooter out many times over my 20+ years of owning homes. They always know what they're doing and get to me fast. The latest was when I moved into an older home and discovered drain issues. They came out and knew exactly what to do with the sewer line. They cleared the clog and then used a machine to "Roto" out all of the scale that was built up on the inside of it. Now, it's clear, widened out, and drains everything like a champ. Service is ALWAYS great. read more
