Elite is an excellent dance studio, from day one through their very polished recitals. It's important to note that this is not a cutesy/playtime type of studio. Dance is a discipline, and so dress code and presentation are taken seriously. For first-timers, that might feel a little intimidating, but there's a reason behind it. Hair and makeup need to be spot-on for recitals, because there's always a chance your cute 3 or 4-year-old might get on stage and just stand there! But guess what? They'll look fantastic doing it. And then, year after year, you'll see their confidence and ability grow. As a parent, you will need to stay on top of recital packets to know who/what/where/when, and I find Elite to be very thorough in the material they send out, or if you simply call them ahead of time. Another perk.. they have a professional photographer who takes photos on stage and backstage at shows/recitals for FREE. As well as a videographer, which is very much appreciated. The owner, Toni, taught my oldest years ago and is fantastic, both as a teacher and as a business owner. Neither of my girls have ever been on team, but both have always enjoyed their classes. The teachers are wonderful with age-appropriate instruction (shout out to Miss Princess with the littles) and technique. My 7-year-old only takes one ballet class currently, yet she could not be more excited to be performing in The Nutcracker for her second year in a row. Needless to say, we love Elite!

This is such a lovely dance studio! I have been to several classes here but have only taken pole choreo classes, so I'm not sure how the pole tricks classes are. All of the teachers I've taken from here have been wonderful and they do an amazing job of breaking down all of the moves and teaching any tricks that are incorporated into the dance. I have learned how to create more fluidity in my dances here. The space is on the smaller side as there is only one studio inside, but the poles are spaced far enough apart that you don't feel claustrophobic in a full class. The lobby is also great and comfortable to wait in and they sell some apparel and shoes there. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming here, from the students to the teachers.

I was surprised at how much we learned during the hour and fifteen minute class. Even the basics were quite the sweat session but in the best way ever. The instructor was so encouraging and the entire vibe of the class was great! I highly recommend checking out this studio, I'm sure you'll have as much fun as I did. I'm planning to go back some time in the next few weeks to hopefully continue to take more new face courses just for fun. Only drawback was parking- it's very limited and since it's near Gasolina cafe it's a popular spot so make sure to come early enough to find a spot.

From the very beginning, they have embraced my daughter with open arms, and the supportive, positive energy throughout the studio is exactly what any parent could wish for their child. The confidence, joy, and encouragement they give the kids is unmatched, and it shows in the way my daughter has grown both as a dancer and as a person. The only thing I wish for is a slightly stricter sick policy, as classes can get quite busy, but that doesn't take away from how grateful we are for everything this studio does. This is a review for parents with kids…read more I am talking about West Valley Dance Academy. I've taken my now close to 4 year old to this studio for the past 6 months, and every day has been great! The school is owned and operated by Lisa Tran. Lisa is a mother and former dancer herself, so she understands both. Lisa teaches many classes herself, and from what I've witnessed, all the kids learn + have a lot of fun. My daughter's main teacher is Kate Newham -- and my daughter loves her! She actually asks before we go if we'll be seeing Miss Kate. Miss Kate is so kind and understanding of all the little kids needs. Many of them, as we all know, just say what's on their mind at any time. Kate always listens, but directs the kiddies back to dance. Also. At no time do the kids just run around and do what they want. Miss Kate has the innate ability to reach them, and keep them dancing. It is a wonderful sight to see, One of the other hi-lights of the school is the ability to watch your children dance, even if you are at home. Lisa sends out a link allowing one to watch their kids progress in the world of dance. Many times, I am watching my daughter from the waiting room, while my wife is viewing from work. Oh yeah, parents aren't allowed in the actual dance studio. You just wait in the comfortable lobby, and watch from there. I should also mention, if one day your little one has to miss a class, they can easily make it up another day They also sell dance shoes, and clothes, in case your tiny dancer needs it. Everything one might need is right there at the studio. I know this school takes older kids too. So don't worry about that. They also put on recitals throughout the year for the bigger kids. Can't wait for my Callie to be in one herself. I usually try to put price of classes, but since my daughter is still in the toddler stage, I can tell you that it is more than reasonable. During the pandemic, masks were required for every person who was in the building. As of right now, masks are optional. I can guarantee, if things change, Lisa will be at the forefront, and mask wearing will be mandatory once again. What I tell people looking for a dance class, is to call West Valley Dance Academy, and request an intro class, so you can see if it works for you and your family. Andrey, who is also the owner with his wife, Victoria, became my instructor. Andrey continuously teaches me everything from the basic steps to more advance spins and moves. I started on June 18th and will be finishing up sometime in mid July before my trip. He makes the scenario comfortable and professional. I realize it's important to be taught by a man, because they understand how to lead. He is extremely patience as I've never danced before. If you plan to learn how to salsa, I advise to take private lessons and record each session so you can practice at home.. this is so you can progress comfortably with each session with Andrey. I highly recommend coming here. The facility is clean, and has several rooms. Everyone is friendly and it's an enjoyable atmosphere. They of course do more than just salsa. You'll be in good hands.

I was hesitant to write this review, but I feel like it needs to be written…read more I was ready to give this place 4 or 5 stars because the owner was really responsive to email and I wanted to take advantage of the yelp deal where your first class is free, and she offered to give me a private session since my schedule didn't allow me to attend one of the regular classes. I want to preface the rest of this review by saying that I'm hopeful that this experience was a fluke and I understand that we're all human and have blips in our lives, but I was really disappointed by the level of professionalism (or lack thereof) by the owner. First off, I got to the studio 5 minutes early, and I waited. Unfortunately, she was very late ( I want to say 15 or 20 minutes) and didn't let me know. I was about to leave when she drove into the parking lot and came out of her car with her son. My guess is he got into trouble at school and she had to pick him up. I felt really bad for her and said I could come back another time, but she insisted we continue. I think this was the big mistake on her part. All throughout the session, her son kept coming into the studio: complaining, asking questions, bothering his mom. Frankly, I felt downright uncomfortable a few times as she reprimanded her son in front of me. Yes, a few times. She yelled at him a couple of times and had a couple of stern talks with him as well. All in less than an hour. The owner also kept her dog at her studio. Not sure if he's always there, but he was there when I was there. A big dog that howls and howls at you through the window. Maybe he doesn't howl when people are in the studio. Idk. I am a HUGE fan of dogs. But. This is an exercise studio and this dog wasn't trained to stay quietly out of the way. She's lucky I love dogs or I'm sure that this could have been a much more malicious review... the dog would come and slobber over me, trying to smell my crotch. This was the the icing on the cake for this review. I was supposed to be getting a private session. Would the experience have been different if I had paid for it instead of using the yelp check in offer? Are the classes any different? Is there always going to be a big dog smelling your butt as you do your downward dog? I may never know. It's unfortunate because I liked the owner and appreciated her teaching style. Maybe others will have more luck with the studio for balance...
