This review is based on poor customer service. I called inquiring about a deal because I wanted to make sure it was correct. If it wasn't, that's fine I'm calling to verify. The manager said it wasn't but if I could show the place I saw this at they would honor it. I came in with an email sent to me impersonating round table and the advertisement for the deal and the manager refused to honor it. I just spoke with him 10 minutes prior and wasted my time coming down to the store for nothing. Don't advise a customer on the phone something that you aren't going to honor in person. This Round Table is ran by incompetent children. I really like Round Table pizza, however this location has screwed up two of my pizza orders so bad in the past two weeks. The first time, I ordered a large pizza around 3pm, and requested that it be delivered at 6pm. At 6:30pm when my pizza still hadn't arrived, I called and asked what was going on. The lady explained to me that they no longer have delivery drivers, so they use door dash employees to deliver. She assured me that my pizza would be there shortly. My pizza arrived at 7:25pm. Hour and a half late. Sitting in a warmer for that long. Yesterday, I ordered 3 pizzas at 2:30pm and to avoid delivery delays, I said that I would be picking them up at 5:30pm. I show up at 5:30pm and the lady hands me one pizza. I asked where the other two were. She said they ran out of dough and had to go to another location to get some, but I could wait. They had 3 hours to figure this out from the time I ordered, till the time I picked up! Not a single call or notification to alert me of the delays. I asked for my money back since I had paid over the phone. I will never be using this location again. Zero compensation. Zero remorse. Zero customer service. read more

She said she cannot cancel online orders. I got kind of mad, you can't cancel an order? I put a nice tip on the order. So she kept saying she could not cancel the order so I said fine I'll wait. Came back and I guess my RECIPT was thrown away and she said she thought I was going to cancel it online...luckily a lady T***a comes from the back and she was doing dishes and stuff in the back, was super nice and made the pizza herself. I ordered a pizza for delivery said it was going to be 30 to 40 minute wait which is fine. Waited over an hour and no pizza. So I called and was notified that the door dash driver never came to pick up the pizza. First off no one told me, nor on their website mentioned it was door dash. I never have problems at this location & the staff is always accommodating. However, I do have to make a comment on the staff's social skills. They have none. Even though everyone is wearing a mask, you can still tell what type of mood someone is in. The lady working the lunch shift today have no eye contact, no positivity in the way she talked to her customers & walked away without asking if I needed anything else or saying thank you & telling me to have a good day. I get that not everyone likes their job, & it might be due to poor management, but you should never show that you dislike your position & should always make the customer feel welcome. If you act like you hate life in front of your patrons, they are bound to have a bad experience. We've given this Round Table location chance after chance but this time our pizza dough was so raw we had to toss a $40 pizza in the garbage. I called to complain and get my pizza remade and I heard the manager in the back with a major attitude asking for pictures of my pizza. I already knew I wasn't gonna get anywhere with her but I texted her the pictures anyways and of course nothing. My least favorite round table location ever! We've been giving them chance after chance, but it's time to choose another location. Tonight specifically, the pizza arrived cold, and the boxes were soaked in oil as if the pizza was in there for a while. Friendly staff, but not great pizza makers. I really enjoyed the employees here I've come in all the time and sometimes they are extremely busy but they really work hard and so friendly and are always trying to make the customers happy when they leave!! I love how they welcome us in right when we walk in and also say goodbye to us as we ar leaving. They truly care about there customers. read more

We had an amazing experience at this location. This Round Table saved our son's birthday. Our wait time had been pushed up by an half an hour at Dave & Busters after we had already waited for over an hour for a party of nearly 20 individuals. In a bind we called around and found this pizza place to be extra accommodating with such a large party. We were able to order over the phone and despite being 10 minutes down the road, 2 of our pizzas were done fairly soon after arriving. We were able to pull up and feed our party guests promptly. We were treated amazingly and we are so grateful to every staff member that made that happen. The pizza was also delicious! read more

I was the only person in round table with a simple pickup order that was supposed to be done 7:15 pm. A few grub hub people came in after for the same thing. There was another family dining in and it soon became clear to me that we all inconvenienced the staff. Jennifer was not very helpful or friendly at all and didn't get my pizza until 7:45 pm. Based on other reviews here, I'm surprised she's still hired... I ended up being late for my night shift at work. Very poor management, understaffed, and simply not very friendly at all. I liked the pizza and the service but we stopped going there when we went in for lunch one day and were told that they no longer served Caesar salad. Hubby and I like to split a personal pizza with a salad each, and I can't eat the mixed greens because of a spinach allergy. If they ever bring back the Caesar salad I will return though. read more

I ordered a couple of pizzas online for the first time and had them delivered. One of them was the Italian garlic supreme. It did not have any creamy garlic sauce nor did it have any garlic. When I called to let them know they offered no consideration for the fact that they made it incorrectly and then insisted that they did. They continued to let me know that they were changing management strategies from corporation to franchise. And that management would not do anything for me. No offers to remake my pizza nor even offer a discount on my next purchase. I suggested if this is the way that you are going to continue to manage your franchise you better find a new strategy and you will lose business. read more

It's new and clean - 10 there Staff , started a 1 ended a 10. First visit - when they barley opened, felt like 100 employees there . But yet nobody could take my order because the two cashiers were counting up receipts or something , not really sure ... maybe adding their tips ? So I stood there and stood there and stood there . Finally I butted in and said I'm going to sit down please come get me when you're ready to take my order. They rolled their eyes. I guess I was an inconvenience. Then later someone came and asked how they could help me. Had some other issues as well with with getting our complete order to come out. I had to to go follow up. Okay , 2nd visit - it was a complete turn around. We were acknowledged and greeted. Also constant follow up on our table to see how we were doing. Not just with us but with everyone! Complete 180 and I'm glad because I wanted to give them a second chance. The food - 8/10 Even though we live 1 mile from this location I'll probably go back to McHenry. Pizza toppings and dough/crust is great. My issue is they cut corners on the cheese. But the main reason for us at least is their poor choose of wine - it's GROSS. I mean we are okay with house wine in most cases but this is like 1.99 wine. It's just gross. Beer selection is great, very pleased with the beer selection!! But please upgrade the wine, try William hill - people will pay the extra buck per glass. Wings we consistent- on both trips we ordered boneless wings and they were good. This was the second time I ordered pizza and it wasn't delivered. I ordered 2 pizzas and was quoted 40 min. An hour goes by and I call to see if my order was sent out yet and Shannon first says they had no phone number to contact me that my pizzas were not picked up by who they use to deliver pizzas. I said that was a lie because I ordered online and had to put a phone number and then she made up an excuse that their system was down. So now I have no dinner for my family and then was told to call the next day for my refund. So I called and spoke to Leroy who stated they cannot refund the delivery driver tip. How the hell am I paying a delivery driver tip when I had to pick up my pizza an hour and 30 min late. He was rude and tried to hang up on me when I asked for the owners name and contact info. We were happy to see we had another option for eating out close to home. Unfortunately the staff at this Round Table is either dishonest or just too dumb to figure out how to honor their menu. We ordered the wing combo that we had several times before. Apparently they changed their prices and didn't update the menu. They wanted $6.00 more than the menu price. The server told me she "can't honor the posted price because they took the button off her register ". When I asked to speak to the manager she went to talk to him and came back to tell me he was on a break and can't be bothered. Probably the WORST Round Table my fiancé and I have been to. The only good thing about this place was that it was clean and new (hence the one star). Other than that there's nothing great about this place. The service is horrible. We went out with a close friend of ours and his wife they ordered before us, probably two minutes before, they received their pizza and wings within 20 mins not bad but after waiting a half hour we received our wings. Waited another half hour and never received our pizza. We had to go up to the counter and ask and when we brought it up they asked if we were sure we ordered, we showed our receipt and all they could say was "oh delivery most likely took it". We asked for a refund which we were supposed to receive within 5 business days but here we are 3 weeks later and nothing. Not surprised. Definitely will not be returning. read more

I don't usually have problems with this Round Table, but the pizza we received tonight was disappointing. We ordered a large half BBQ Chicken and half Double Play Pepperoni on stuffed crust online. We've ordered and received stuffed crust pizzas before with no problems. This time, the pizza we received was on original crust. If stuffed crust is no longer available, it would have been nice to get a courtesy call so we could choose from a crust type that was available. They also went way too heavy on the BBQ sauce, and the crust and pepperoni were a little undercooked. I used to work for Round Table (for about 6 years, 2 different locations), so I'm familiar with how the pizzas should look and taste. Also, we ordered online through the Round Table website, but for some reason, Doordash delivered our order. I'm not sure what happened there. I know we're in the middle of a pandemic and people are ordering delivery and take out more often, so you don't have to deal with customers in person nearly as often. However, I hope the employees will take a little more pride in their customer service skills and pay better attention to how their pizzas are coming out of the oven before sending them out for delivery. read more

This has been our favorite pizza place for about a year now; we go at least two to three times a month for pizza, beer, and more. It is farther than another Round Table and Mtn. Mikes (which we also love, but parking is tight). We stopped patronizing the closer Round Table location on McHenry due to the struggle to find a clean table. We have noticed in the last few visits to the Pelandale location that when you walk in, there are a bunch of dirty tables. Last night we met family here at 6:30. Before walking in I told them how we love this location because it is clean and the service is friendly. Well, it was dirty! As we walked up to order pizza, we asked that two of the four tables in the middle be cleaned (all were dirty). The guy at the counter immediately went over and cleaned the two tables we specified then came back to finish taking our order. While ordering, more people came in and sat at the newly cleaned tables. So, we asked for the remaining ones to be cleaned. To wrap up here, this store is now disappointing. Last night, I am assuming no manager was working, as surely they would have tolerated nothing less than a clean dining environment. Note that the pizza, beer, and soda were good, but now it is no longer worth the higher price. Until it improves, they have lost a good repeat customer. read more
