The property is absolutely AMAZING and the cabins are above and beyond in every way possible. Each cabin is unique, but each has its own kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, outdoor relaxation area, and all are within a 3-minute stroll of each other and the main residence. We stayed at the cabin called "The Barn" and could not possibly have asked for anything more. In addition, we walked the property visiting the beautiful gardens with event areas and gathering spaces. If you are looking for a quiet getaway or a place to host your wedding, reception, graduation party or just about any event where you want to be one with nature in a magnificent setting, Laughing Pines needs to be on your list. This was the 2nd year in a row that my husband and I stayed at Wellspring. I found it last year by accident when searching for a place to stay in Round Top, and I'm so glad I did! We like to attend the Shakespeare at Winedale plays (highly recommend if you're a Shakespeare fan), so late July and early August are times that we're in the area. I anticipate coming back again and again. Linda was out of town during our stay this time, but Sherri, labeled as "the best help in the world" on their info, proved herself to be exactly that. She took excellent care of us and provided a scrumptious breakfast! We met Linda last year, and she was very knowledgeable about the area (with suggestions of things to see and do) as well as telling us some of the history of the Depot. Speaking of The Depot, do yourself a favor and reserve it! I promise you won't be disappointed. The rooms are lovely, and even on a hot summer night, we went out on the deck and rocked back and forth while looking at the stars (we saw 4 meteors, the International Space Station, and several other satellites).

I stayed here with my mom…read moreand sister for Antiques Week, and it was the perfect resting spot in between antiquing in Round Top and Warrenton (only 10 mins from Warrenton). We stayed in the blue room with two queen beds, which was decorated so well and had a huge soaking tub! The beds were super comfortable and I slept really well. I'm not sure what the other reviewer meant by hearing the clock tower, I never heard it and the train never bothered me. All four of the rooms are on the second floor, which has a pretty steep staircase, but there is also an elevator. The inn is so cute and the art gallery below is fun to peruse. I loved walking the town square at sunset and seeing all the adorable old houses around the square. It was literally a breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of life in Austin, and very picturesque. The drive there in the spring is amazing with all the wildflowers by the road. The icing on the cake was the well-appointed kitchen that anyone can use. It had everything we needed to cook meals, and had free cereal for breakfast. This place is amazing, and I would come back on a weekend just to get away and slow down from the city!
