How fabulous it is to have this incredible venue half way between Austin and Houston. Either of those cities would love to Festival Hall within their city limits. But here it is, in rural Round Top. That said, Round Top is a great little city with nice dining options, great antique shops and more. We're really glad we discovered this gem!! They usually feature classical music, but today they invited the Houston Jazz Orchestra, a full 17- piece jazz band, and the first such big band to play at Festival Hall in their 50 year history. They gave a great performance. They were all so very talented and passionate about music. And a film crew was there recording the whole concert, which was interesting to watch. It was open seating. $30 per ticket (reasonable), with no food or drinks allowed or offered in the venue, even at intermission. But that made the intermission shorter. And I wouldn't allow food or drinks in there, either. The entire venue is a work of art. Even the floors are solid wood laid out in a herringbone pattern. They really went all out! We'll monitor their events and we'll be back. We may even bring a few friends with us. What a great place!

The neighboring rooster was crowing early but otherwise it was a quiet stay. Each of the four units has its own outdoor space which is a prime area to stargaze at night. Communication was clear and informative leading up to the stay. The property is a short two minute drive to the main Round Top spots so it's very convenient. The Boho Cottage looked exactly as pictured online: it was absolutely GORGEOUS and very clean and spacious. The interior was decorated with care and all of the pieces chosen are elegant and beautiful. Paige and Smoot, the owners, were also incredibly helpful and accommodating; they helped us arrange a special champagne toast welcome and made sure every detail was accounted for. Boho is minutes away from Henkel Square and tons of shopping spots. We really enjoyed our two night stay and I highly recommend The Vintage Round Top for a family getaway or your next girls' trip!

They offered fire pits and hot tubs that were great We loved: Complimentary hot tea and coffee. Refrigerators in the rooms and glassware/cups for your own bevies. They offer games (if you're into a little cards or something with the ladies) and music throughout the property (ends at 10pm). Very comfortable beds and pillows with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Pro tips: You could bring stuff to cook breakfast and use the full kitchen in the main house. There aren't many breakfast options in Round Top. You can also book the chef ahead of time to cook for you! Some rooms don't have very good coverings in the windows so if privacy is important, try room 7! Great location and private. Very quiet! We never heard a thing from any other guests. There are no hangers, so if you have something to hang bring some to use with the coat hooks they provide.

Met friends for dinner then we all headed back to the Inn to sit around the firepit in Adirondack chairs. Wine place on property will sell you the wine. There's an enclosed lounge room in one of the buildings where we went when the bugs got to be too much for the firepit group. Our Sloane Building room was just the right size and well appointed. Great night sleep. Breakfast the next morning was scrumptious- no cold cereal serve yourself buffet here. Just yummy!! Just cannot beat it for a restorative getaway from the city. The beds were extremely comfortable and dressed with beautiful linens. The bathrooms had more than expected details. Rose soap buds that were so sweet and nice touch plus Facial wipes that I forgot to bring along. Lovely plush towels. We had everything needed for our stay. The Continental Breakfast was more than enough for us. And all the snacks were treats we didn't expect. So much variety for a B&B. If you stay, take a walk around the gardens too as there is a great variety of plants in this property. We hope to return with more girl friends for another retreat in the future.
