All the urinals were out. The floor was absolutely disgusting. The toilets were all filthy. This is health code violation bad.

I assume this place is doing well because it's been around for a while. I was there early in the day the other day just wasting time for a bit before an appointment - there was no one in there - it's been a while since I was in this place so I just looked around. Games are crazy expensive. The ones I looked at were 2.50. 2.50? huh? Who pays that? I can't imagine paying that for the 2 minutes of game time you get for anything. I'm sure there were cheaper ones (there had to be) but maybe they just overcharge for everything to keep the place open. They're paying a lot of employees for sure. There were seven or eight people there while I was there, just walking around doing nothing. I came here years ago with an old company I was with and bowled - it was expensive back then, I don't know what people pay today but their bowling is for casual bowlers, not real bowling. But the main thing was the state of the bathroom. The state of the bathroom in any establishment tells you everything you need to know about a place. It was absolutely filthy - I mean health code violation filthy. It totally smelled of pee and literally none of the urinals were working and every sink was out but one. The floor was disgusting, the toilets were all dirty - I mean not one clean one. Absolutely disgusting. I can't imagine being the manager of an establishment the public frequents and thinking the state of this bathroom is remotely okay in any shape or form. I did take pictures so see my photos - wanted to make sure to provide a little proof for those who find disgusting bathrooms a reason to avoid a place. There were seven or eight employees just walking around doing literally nothing while I was there. Why not get in there clean up and fix that bathroom? It is absolutely unacceptable and I'm baffled that any respected establishment would allow their bathrooms to exist in that condition. Thing is they don't care. Any company that has a bathroom that disgusting literally couldn't care less. They'll read this review and shrug their shoulders "so what, people come here to play our great games, not go to the bathroom." I hope people reading this do.

Two of these labeled as "Chomp" were charged as Gameplay in the same minute, but game failed to start.

Relative to other arcades, the games are very expensive. If you have the luck to play something that isn't broken here, you should go buy a lottery ticket. The customer service won't credit you back for malfunctioning machines, they make you wait for a staff to walk you to the machine and swipe their store card to give you credit. It takes extra time out of YOUR day, and they make it feel like you're being an inconvenience to them while doing it. Today I had 3 separate games that were malfunctioning - Iceman, Pac-Man, and Basketball. 1) Iceman: The water cannon wouldn't track on the screen to aim at the zombies. 2) Pac-Man: When starting a new game it would occasionally ask you swipe again because of error, but it would deduct credits even though it wasn't starting during one of those swipes. 3) Basketball: Swipe card, credits on screen, start button didn't work. I no longer have the patience to deal with the staff here because it's multiple machines EVERY TIME I've come here. The place has a lot of potential but it's completely mis managed and a money pit for the consumer.

Love the arcade. The staff is always nice and I'm always down for a game of Guitar Hero or the claw machines.

We came on a weekday so not that much people were around, which I prefer so you can take your time and less crowded. The staff are super nice when you need support. However, the staff is limited so it was hard to find someone when we needed help. When we did find them, they were super pleasant. I didn't get any drinks but would be down.

Overall a good experience! The staff were very nice and most of the times I've been there it's been easy to find someone to help us with our claw machine prizes. Unfortunately, some of the rhythm and dance games were down the last two times I went in January. It is pretty expensive but we did get a lot of prizes from the machines so it was worth it in the end. If you go there for the collabs, try calling ahead to see if they have what you're looking for. They didn't have what we went there for and told us we should try calling ahead and asking before we make the trip there.

I don't like arcade games, just feels like a casino for kids. But can't beat that 99 cent scoop ice cream deal! Ice cream quality was just okay. Selection limited. I'll be back!

surely the best spot inside the Sunvalley Mall: the Round1 Arcade. located at the first floor, you will find arcade games, bowling and food / drinks. you need to get your arcade card and reload it to use for the games in the arcade. games are for fun, or some are for points. you can redeem points in the arcade store, with many prizes and valuables weekends are very busy, ambiance is live, and they are open late nights, so you can hit Round1 at any time. i won a teddy friend here

    99-cents Ice Cream!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask the Community - Round1 Bowling & Arcade - Concord

Can you use your Digital Club Card from a diferent Round1 here? I usually visit the Hayward Round1, but may be in Concord this weekend and wanted to see if I can use my points/tickets here.

You can use the app to check in, but you'll need to have a card with no stripe on the bottom to use the games. You'll need to pay the activation fee for the card.

    Do you have skee ball?

    Yes.

Does this location have the rhythm game, Taiko no Tatsujin?

    As of 11/2/2021, no.

Are you wizard of oz machines still working ? I still have cards before COVID hit. Can I still redeem it?

    Yes.

Hey I just wanted to ask does this place have gender neutral/family bathrooms?

Yeah. There is a single-user unisex restroom.

Every time I try to get a bowling tune in the afternoon on weekends I come 2 hours before I wanna play but then it's always packed all day and they don't take reservations. Any tips?

    Go somewhere else

Did this Round1 get the Marble Carnival game that pushes marbles?

Yes they do 9 credits for one play

Services offered...Can you drill a bowling ball? Price? Turnaround time?

Hi Amber! We don't offer ball drilling services.

Is there a visible sign stating that no outside food is permitted?

Yes or sort of, you can read it on one of the pictures of the house rules there.

Do you guys at Round 1 plan on adding the Japanese rhythm game Jubeat any time soon?

Jubeat doesn't have proper licensing for the United States, so if they installed it it would be on knit. The closest arcade to here with jubeat is in Los Angeles, at the Puente Hills Mall Round 1.

How do the karaoke rooms work? Do you have to reserve them?

Hello Ney, The karaoke rooms are sold in a first come first serve manner. Customers are charged… Read more

Just wondering if the karaoke has some Korean/K-pop song choices? Or is it just limited to American music? Thanks!

Its almost all K-pop/Korean. Round 1 is a Japanese arcade center so it has a lot of Kpop & J-pop seeing. A lot of the games are only in Japanese too.

Scooby-Doo is my personal favorite, it's based on the original running of the show! The creators, Spooky Pinball LLC got the licensing so it has cut scenes and all the awesome sound effects you'd expect. Keep in mind the games get swapped out every so often so don't expect every machine I mentioned to be there. Mike, the owner is a cool guy. There is a lot more than just pinball going on here. Art, t-shirts, picture framing etc... The cat, Spacer is great. He's friendly and meows cutely when he receives attention. Don't go in there without giving him some love. Stop by and play some games or just a party there! There are also league events and other happenings going on. I highly recommend this spot and can't wait to go back and play Scooby-Doo!

Well... there's a spot in Concord where you can bring your old date(s) to relive those good old arcade memories! The vibe gets even better when you notice their amazing wall art and posters -- many designed and drawn by super talented artists. They got an art gallery aesthetic going on, with cool prints, rock-style posters, and fun retro illustrations hanging on the walls. Super cool! And the BEST part? Spacer the shop cat! ‍ He's the absolute star here -- he has his own poster and even a custom-made pinball cat bed. Ah-mazing! He lounges around supervising, making sure that everyone is having a good time!! lol Whether you're into art, framing, pinball, or just want a quirky, nostalgic place to explore, The Flipper Room is Highly Recommended and a Must-Visit spot!
