Worst bowling experience I've ever had. I'd rather go to an outdated bowling alley and not have multiple issues with our lane while bowling with kids. The lane would just stop working and shut off multiple times. When you called for service no one ever came over. When I went to an employee at the counter to complain of the lane shutting off I was told that they could move us to another lane but they couldn't guarantee we wouldn't have an the same issues in the other lane. It was then explained to me that there's nothing they can do about the issues in the lanes because parts for the bowling lanes are from Japan where there was a tsunami and the equipment was under water so it's faulty. Not sure how that's my problem and she obviously didn't care, because she moved on to helping the next customer. Bowling for 3 kids I under 9 years old was $47. Definitely not worth the cost which is ridiculous! I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

What an awful place. it literally just opened a few months back and I am surprised they are still in business. To start off with, the staff. They are all surely sullen teenagers who obviously do not give a carp about being there. I know it is not brain surgery or anything, but have a little bit of pride in your job. And train them ALL the same. I go in and one employee does something one way, then next time they do it completely different. Second off, they are "out of" stuff all the time. I am near there several times a week and they are often simply out of this food item or that one. or they only have one particular item. How can you have just started a business here and have these supply issues?? Many reviews of this place have a myriad of complaints, especially when it comes to the bowling and food service. However, none of those things are even relevant compared to the games selection. As an avid gamer, those are really all I care about, so I'll focus on those. I went yesterday for my third time, also going around a week after opening and on new years day. People say that the pricing system is complex, but for the arcade, it's anything but. Many of the ticket games are admittedly overpriced, ranging from 4-8 tickets (worth around 1-2 dollars). I was able to win 3000 tickets through the deal or no deal machine on 24 credits, but it should go without saying that this is not an easy feat and should not be taken as a baseline. The prizes are also more adult-oriented, which does not really fit the more childish feel of the ticket games. Also, I would just like to point out that the claw games here are just as scammy as every single claw game in the known multiverse. However, I was there for a completely different reason, that being the rhythm games in the back section of the arcade. As a fan of the entire rhythm genre, there is nothing that I could ask for more than a rhythm game section of this caliber. The games, while admittedly complex, adult-oriented, and better after breaking a paywall, are a blast to play and feature a high play time for each credit spent (rhythm games are 6 credits or 1.5 dollars per play). Additionally, the fighting games and racing games are extremely varied and worth the time. In fact, I believe that the entire purpose of round 1's existence is to bring the games that are entirely inaccessible anywhere else in the states and make them accessible. Games such as sound voltex and groove coaster and tekken 7 and tatsunoko vs capcom and gunslinger stratos validate round 1 entirely. It's just a shame that the ticket games cost a bit too much (should be lowered one to three credits each depending on the game) read more

Totally overpriced. Family of 5, 3 kids and two adults. To bowl would have cost over $60 for just two games. When you think of bowling it is an inexpensive fun game to have some good quality time, talking with friends or family. The prices were outrageous. The video games are awesome but you have to load a card, that you have to pay for the card. Sorry that is a bit extreme when you can simply have the machine itself accept cash or CC at the point of sale so that you do not need a "card" and wait in lines for the card. Took them out to dinner for less than $60. Look elsewhere for good family fun. read more

Would not recommend. Started our night by waiting over 20 minutes at the bar. When we finally were able to ask for a beer, the bartender responded by saying "yea, if I have a clean glass". He finds plastic cups somewhere, crushed a cup as he took it out of the sleeve, then places his entire hand around the lip of the cup from which I'm supposed to drink...okay, fine. Some bars are dirty, right? I could get over that...I suppose...if the rest of the night went smoothly. When I asked for water, I was told that they don't offer complimentary cups and that I could pay $2.50 for a bottle or $3 something for a glass or use the water fountain in the back...I shouldn't have to use a water fountain. Not to mention, if you're an establishment that serves alcohol, you should always provide water as a courtesy - especially somewhere like this where people are spending a good amount of money. And how does it make sense that they have $1.99 beers and want you to pay more than that for water? Food is less than sub par - frozen items that are fried. We move to the bowling lanes, where we sit down to a table that was not cleaned up at all - there were pizza pans, glasses and trash that was not ours and yet we had to clear it off of our table. Don't even bother with the "call waitstaff" button on your bowling monitor - no one will come. Head on back to the bar where you can expect to wait another 10 minutes to be greeted by an unfriendly face. Cherry on top? As we left, an extremely confrontational and seemingly miserable employee came over and said "y'all gonna clean off your table? It's y'all's cups?" ...You've got to be kidding me, right? First, we'd be happy to place our cups wherever they were meant to go...if there were a place to do so and if she had been polite - but it's not as if there is a dirty dish collection area like we're at a Panera and she was the total opposite of polite. Second, we sat down to a filthy table to start. I don't want to be ignorant and say that it's her job to clean up our cups...but it is in fact her job. Would she like us to walk them back to the kitchen? I walked my glass to the food service counter to greet another miserable face, asked him where to put my glass, to which he responded "it doesn't matter." If your guests are supposed to put dishware somewhere themselves, that should be apparent. And if not, get an employee who can do their job without complaining and disrespecting paying customers. As we left, a friend went to get a water from the counter, and he was told that they were "closed". My friend responded by saying it's a bottle in that fridge, I'm not asking anything much & I have to take medication. The employee complained that his register was off and was unwilling to budge. My friend finally got the bottle and left the employee $3 instead of $2.50 for his troubles...The only thing redeeming about this place was the people I was with who can enjoy themselves wherever we go. DON'T COME HERE! My family and I came to Round 1 at about 6pm on a Saturday and were greeted by vomit covering the sidewalk entrance. The front desk is nowhere near the main entrance and we felt like we were in a maze just to find it! Once we did, we were put on a waiting list to bowl, which we were fine with so the little ones could play an arcade game while we wait. Our game cards did not work on any games! $20 down the drain! When we tried to ask an employee for help, they would stare at us and walk away when they saw us coming over for help. When one employee didn't have the chance to run away, he said the system is down because of how many people were there, and we could only get our refund if we stood in a huge line. We decided to leave but finally got notified to bowl. Bowling was fine but the lanes weren't nearly as nice as other places. By the time bowling was done the games were finally fixed and we used up our game cards before leaving, and, once again, almost stepping in vomit on the way out. If you want to bowl, go to the Bowling Palace in Downingtown. If you want to experience a rip off, vomit, and employees that walk away from you, come here. read more

Stopped in this place yesterday hoping to bowl with the family. Atmosphere is sort of a casino for kids. Droning noise level from the games. Waited in line to be told there was a two hour wait for bowling. Questioned why when a third of the lanes were dark and was told they were broken. Seriously, the place has only been open a week? Looked like some state of the art video games mixed with a ton of ripoff crane games loaded with cheap plush Japanese looking whatevers. Ping pong and billiards are in a corner with no seats or amenities. Better off going to the local bar or your friends basement. Supposed to have a bar and liquor license. This must be in the karaoke corner which I never got to. Saw a food counter that looked as appealing as Chuckee Cheese or your local stadium. I thought this concept had real potential when I heard it was opening. Reality is that it's so poorly executed you'd be crazy to go there if you're over 12. Doubt that it will make it. read more

The place is great there is so much prizes to win in the claw machine and games to play. The only bad thing is this one employee, Matt. I was playing the claw machine and the prize got stuck in the claw. So I went over to the assistance table to get some help, so Matt was there and he came to help me. He then preceded to try and get the prize without opening the glass window, which confused me but it didn't work so he eventually opened it up and that was it. The claw machine had another prize stuck and then I asked Matt to help me again. Matt comes over and looks at me, then he calls his manager over saying that the prize shouldn't be mine. It was the machine fault Matt, there was no way to get it. So then the manager just gave me the prize and then Matt walked away. I cleared the machine so I asked Matt again to refill the machine. He was groaning and obviously didn't care about it at all. I also asked him if he could put in a certain prize so I can try to get it. He ignored me, and I even pointed out to him what prize and he just didn't say anything. So I just played and I cleared the machine again. Calling Matt over again since he was the only one there, he put the prize in unfair ways which made most of them in a dead zone where the claw can't reach them. I tired for the ones that were achievable, but he put the prize in such a way in fell down behind the prize grab area. So I was pissed so I left. The thing to take away from this is, don't let Matt help you with anything. If you see him, try and get someone else to help you. He is by far the worst person in Round 1, everyone else is so nice. This one guy Matt, avoid him cause he is just gonna make you have a bad time. read more

imagine D&B, but on steroids. pretty similar selection of arcade games but they have bowling, ping pong, billiards, and karaoke. 1 minor, 1 major complaint. first one is pool table was SO lopsided, we could not enjoy a game of 8-ball, no big deal. Next, went to the bar to order a drink, waited a good 10+ minutes (zero exaggeration) while the bartender COMPLETELY ignored every single customer while he was "hollering" at a female customer seated at the bar across from him. he was the only bartender and he took zero customers during that time and we all just kind of stood around looking at each other with "this cant be serious" expression." i have NEVER in my 32 years of life witnessed customers being ignored more deliberately and for that long. luckily, i was able to convince myself this must be one of those TV shows with hidden cameras where they will probably pop out and surprise us any second now to refrain from flipping sheetz. the staff is mostly younger and thats fine by me. i get it, its an arcade after all. but that pathetic display of "customer service" left a bad taste in many people's mouths wondering when the hell that camera crew is gonna pop out. read more
