I had a birthday party here for my grand daughter. I was very disappointed in it. I was told things that were not true when I got there.I got the "all inclusive for kids " All you could eat, drink and play, They gave me a list of things that they could do. One was "unlimited bowling" and all they could eat. But when we went up to get more pizza they treated us like we were trying to get over on them, We were told bowling was NOT included, I had asked when I pay for the party. Which I paid for in full for 10 kids when I booked the party. They also told me that if more than 10 came I could pay at end of party, but,, we had 2 kids extra, but they would not give any food till we paid for the two kids. and they were rude, The problem was I had left to take baby home, but her mother and father were both there, but had no money on them...embarrassing read more

Went there today. Visiting from out of state and was excited to bowl. We get there around 3:40pm. Ask to bowl and find out there is a long wait (hour and half). No worries. We decide to play darts to kill time. At this point, let's say it's 3:50 pm and the rate should be 5 bucks. The junior manager tell us that it's $8 because the register already has a time stamp of 4pm. How is that right? Thankfully the other associate checks the other register and tells us it's showing the correct time and is able to charge us the the correct amount. We go off to play dart for an hour. Return and there is still a wait. No problem! When it's finally our chance to bowl we are told that we can pick one game. If we want to play more "just come back and add on". We play a game and decided right upon its ending that we should play one more. I go back to the desk and ask to add on to the game and was told that it was not possible. First, I was told that I had to add on before the game ended..then I was told " because we have long wait and those lanes are reserved, you can't play another game". Mind you there were only two of us and we probably played our first game in under 30 minutes. What would they have done if we chose the unlimited lanes? I asked if this was written anywhere as policy and no one could provide it. I did speak with Aaron and she said nothing could be done. ..and even if I complained to corporate, it didn't matter. You can't extend a "our bad" five dollar game card? I have a problem when it feels as if rules are being made up on the spot. One star for the associate that was helpful. read more

Love love going here! Never terribly crowded when we go. All the workers I have encountered have been amazingly nice all the machines are usually working just fine. Only ever really have problems with the monster drops but those games do that and I have never been denied my credits back if the game malfunctions or been questioned. Only thing I would say is that I wish the prize room was updated more often with new prizes. read more

This arcade should be great but it's really far from it. First it's crazy expensive! No arcade is as bad as Round 1. A large amount of the games don't work and you don't get compensation when you say a game isn't working. All the games I traveled to try out were out of order. A shame really. It has a ton of niche games and Japanese games, which is cool in theory. But their redemption games need some work. read more

For being the lone major retail center of one of the 25 wealthiest counties in the USA Exton is looking more and more like a dying rummage sale every day. Round 1 is a prime example of that....this place is like a lame bizarro world Dave and Busters.....guess D & Bs market research did not find Exton worthy enough so we got this hole. Was treated very rudely and unprofessional by who I assumed to be the manager today. My young son and I attempted to visit the Exton location today. We parked in the parking garage, and walked in through the open automatic doors. Shortly after entry we encountered a bald male in shirt and tie, he told us that we needed to leave and they were not open yet. I told him I was sorry and was not aware they were not open, since the automatic doors were open and let us in, and he responded "how do you think I'm supposed to let the employees in!" He told my son and I that we needed to leave now! So I took my son's hand and headed to the door, he follow and said "can't you see we are closed, can't you read the signs !?" I told him no, and the automatic doors opened and let us in, and there was no sign stating they were closed. He followed us to the door, and told us to "leave and never come back!" I told him I would not. This was very embarrassing to me especially because it was in front of my young child. We have been patrons of this arcade since it opened in our neighborhood mall. Needless to say this is the first negative experience we have had here, however it was intense and I will not be returning. Wish I could give 0 stars. Horrible management. read more

Visited for the second time today. The first time we came the week before Christmas during the day to bowl and play the claw machines. Brought my two daughters, ages 10 and 12. The bowling is fairly priced and the lanes are really nice. The only negative is that it's all or nothing with the bumpers. We played the claw machines. My kids failed on the big new style claws and won twice with the smaller traditional claws. Spent $14 and came away with two stuffed animals. Not too shabby. Today we went to play pool. With the club card it was only $4.00 for the hour which seemed like a good deal. We spent close to $30 on the claw machines but walked away with 3 stuffed animals. My husband figured out the big claws. You push on the animals rather than pick them up. The staff were all really nice and helpful despite the place being really crowded. My only complaint is that the beer selection at the bar is TERRIBLE! Miller light. Stella. Angry orchard. Blue moon. Not a single pale ale or IPA. Not a local, craft brewery. Unless they fix the beer it will be impossible to come here with friends, only as a family. Please fix the beer selection. There were two unused taps. read more

I went with my boyfriend this Valentines day. We live fairly far away from Exton so this was definitely a trip for us. We were very hopeful that we WOULDN'T like this place in fear that we would pick this over our usual D&B. Luckily our wish came true. The first thing we realized when we got there was that it was MASSIVE. The second thing was it was very very quiet which could be good and bad. We went for the prize room first, took a look at the prizes and we're pleasantly surprised how high quality they were. We loaded up our card with $50 for the two of us but we ended up blowing through it and bought another $30 worth. When we went to go play the games, that's when it started getting bad. A claw machine ate 8 credits, another game only dealed us 437 tickets when we were supposed to be owed 520 for the jackpot prize, another dealed us 7 tickets instead of 50, and during our bowling games, our lane locked up in the middle of our game. As noted before this place is massive, finding help on the floor was almost impossible so most of the time we had to walk a good 2 minutes to and fro to either get our refund, get our tickets reissued, or fix a machine, which does get very annoying. The claw machines were the most fun, the regular claws were a lot easier to win than the UFO catchers. We ended up going home with 2 UFO wins vs 6 regular claw wins. One UFO win I felt that one of the managers was giving me a hard time. I'm not one to bring race into anything but I saw him help a white couple with a toy that was about to fall, and he simply gave it to them but when we had the similar problem (it was literally about to drop just like theirs were..) yet when we requested for help, he got the toy out of the machine and repositioned it to make it even harder to win instead of doing what he did with the other couple (we were an interracial couple). Not going to press on about the race issue however I felt that that incident overall was bull. Overall it was a new experience but not one we felt like we regret too much. Also the plushies in the machine seem very high quality as opposed to the typical claw machine so we got a good bang for our buck. We also did a lot of Purikura Machines which was a blast! The customization was fun and one of the machines gave us an option to have a copy sent to our phone which was a nice plus with the photo strips. One thing we realized though was this places staff. They are all very nice and helpful (all but the manager) , yet they seemed very unaware of what they were doing, which I don't blame them because along with that they seemed DRASTICALLY understaffed . I remember a young lady (her name was Amanda or Ashley I believe) who was absolutely delightful, yet I remember feeling so bad she was running 3 different counter stations at once (food register, bowling register, and the card issuing register) and another man we had a delight to chat with at the ticket counter (did not remember his name but had dreads and was very tall!) He had to keep leaving his post to help another worker who I think was new. Overall our experience wasn't the worst in the world, but next time, I think we will only go if we are in the area, as opposed to trying to make a trip out of this.. read more

It's a giant arcade with tons of games, bowling, karaoke, and when you need a break, you can just walk around the mall and come back in for some more fun! This place was a TOTAL disaster last night. My company had a party of about 45 people for a corporate team building event, with everything confirmed ahead of time. When we arrived, the Round 1 contact who had arranged the party was not there and hadn't told any of the staff they weren't going to be there. We had one employee (poor girl) who had only been working there a month, who was supposed to serve 45 people for 3 straight hours... and who had never hosted a party before, at all. I felt so bad for her. The manager wouldn't come out and talk with us because "he wasn't on the clock" yet. Are you serious?! The place was DEAD. There were maybe, maybe 10 other people there. If I were that manager, I'd want to make things right with such a large party and make that serious revenue. He eventually came out and was totally unhelpful and unwilling to fix anything, and even made the female employee cry in front of us. Not a decent human being or manager. The bartender was fine for our one "free" drink (he was actually nice and jovial). The final kicker is that they don't accept AMEX (which was an issue for us). This is a franchise, not a mom-and-pop shop... how do you not accept AMEX? We will never be going here again. If the managerial staff acted like that to us, and to their own employee in front of us, then we don't want to give them a single dollar of our business. We left and went to World of Beer, who jumped at the chance of a large corporate party and dedicated space and two full servers just for our party. That's how you win repeat business. read more

This is one of the best arcade places I've ever been to!!! There are so much variety of games to play-from Japanese arcade games to the games you find in D&B. There are so many claw games to play with different toys to get. I got my gf 5 different toys. At one point I spend more then four swipe on a machine and I said enough is enough and told the guy to reposition the toy for me, which he gladly did and got the toy afterwards. I didn't get a chance to get bowl or sing there but from the looks of it, it looks lit. I would definitely return and bring my squad there read more

Update...I've gone back since my original review and more of the games are in working order now. While we still had fun, we were disappointed overall. There are a ton of games, but many of them do not work. It wasn't always easy to find someone to help, and it doesn't seem to be as organized as it could be. Bowling was fun, but even that required a call for service at one point. We didn't try the karaoke lounges, so I can't comment on them. As others have said, this place does have a lot of potential. I have a group of friend that I go to Round1 with, and we spend $500-$800 together every time. We drive for 2.5 hours from Maryland just for Round1. We are here for 2 things; UFO catcher, and the rhythm dance machine called "Pump it Up". -The UFO catcher is really fun and addicting.. However, how much you can win really depends on the employees who are working. Half way into our last trip, the UFO catcher went from being crowded to 0 people playing. Why? Because the staff stuffed all the plushies to the point where its impossible to win. During my 7 hour stay, some machines were untouched and 0 prizes were won, while 1 machine got cleaned out in 2 hours. Round1 should really hire a specialist for UFO catchers and have that person reload everything so its fair. -Lastly, the African American man who worked at the food section on 6/31/18 was extremely rude. 2 of my friends and I wanted to get ice cream, and we were paying separately. First guy asked for ice cream, paid, said thank you. Employee was silent the whole time. I asked for ice cream, he started shaking his head and mumbling to himself. I can already tell he was annoyed. My last friend asked for ice cream, he finally broke out and started screaming at us for "holding up the line". He act like we are not paying or something.. Also, there was literally 1 group behind us. That guy needs to be fired. Even most fast food restaurant employees have better customer service than that guy. read more

I have now had two negative experiences here. My first visit was with a group of friends after dinner. When we arrived NONE of the arcade games were working. Because of that there was over a two hour wait for bowling. The two things we went there for we couldn't do. Instead we decided to get a pool table. The first three tables we attempted to play pool on were uneven resulting in a dramatic curve on the balls. The second visit we were able to play the arcade games and bowling but we're disappointed by both of them as well. The bowling is a great idea but if you're looking to actually play a round of bowling with friends I recommend going to a normal bowling alley. It was dark and they have lights and disco balls going so it is hard to actually bowl well. For half the price you can enjoy a game elsewhere. The arcade games were fun - assuming you actually found one working and it calculated your score/tickets correctly. After we talked to an employee about one of the games not calculating the score right (in this case it was basketball but it also happened with several other games) the employee said "maybe you don't have enough skills." Not exactly the customer service you're looking for.... read more

I went here for my b day and they told me after 2 beers that I was to drunk to be served another. I literally did nothing to deserve them saying something like that to me. I left completely sober and disappointed by the whole experience. It depends on the management working the night you come but this place can feel like Recess in middle school if the wrong person is working! I do not recommend this place. The place was very fun, unfortunately it's like they have the heat turned all the way up and are trying to kill everybody (especially if you are bowling). There were really good drank and ice cream specials, Dollar99 drafts the $.99 ice cream, we bowled for about two hours but the wait staff doesn't even come up to the bowling alley which is insanely disappointing because there is a button on the monitor that says wait staff will be coming where you press it, and nobody comes... we finally asked someone and they said they don't do that anymore. They were also super stingy giving out water, but if they're going to keep it that they better give it out for free and large pitchers of it...overall there are a lot of fun things to do there with the games, ping-pong, pool tables (which are a little intimidating to go over by because some of the players look like they'll beat the crap out of you from looking at them), and bowling which was only 20 bucks for two hours. I would say the biggest reason I was in such a bad mood because the heat was unbearable and nobody would do anything about it... if it's going to continue to be hot I would not return, if the board to be a better temperature and a little better service/hospitality I would certainly recommend this place to have fun read more

I've never really taking the time to write a review before but feel compelled after last night. We saw the advertising along with some local hype. It seemed like a local version of Dave n' Busters but with bowling and darts. So we decided to check it out. The place as such over whelming potential but it falls flat on it's face. The whole experience was infuriating and we left after only an hour, which did not entail much. 1) The "sports bar" did not have liquor just beer. Service was painfully slow. The pricing was odd and so was their policy. If you ordered a bottled beer they had to pour it into a glass because you're not allowed to have glass. Yet the cup they pour it into is glass. There was so much empty space around the bar yet barely any tables or chairs. They had a few tv's and a projector but there was a ton of open wall space where tv's should be if you're going to try and attract sports fans or even a regular bar crowd. Also you can not leave a tip with credit cards. Cash only or no tips. 2) The "food." The impression given was that it would have restaurant or bar quality food. What you actually get is horrible, way over priced snack bar type food. Honestly I have had better food from a snack shed at little league baseball games. 3) The kiosks are available around the venue. You can buy new cards or add credits to your current one. Except if you want to use cash, you have to have the exact amount for the domination they offer. No change can be given. Also if you want to use a credit card, then you can not add more than $20 worth at a time. If you want to add or purchase more than that you have to go to the main counter. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having the kiosks. On top of that. Their "value" incentives for the club card is giving you $1 off of certain games. 4) bowling / darts /ping pong / billiards / karaoke. The pricing on this is extremely odd and confusing. Instead of having simple set prices. The pricing depends on the day of the week, the time of the day, the number of people you're with and if you're a club member or not. This could be massively simplified. 5) The games. This was the worst part. They have some cool games but more than half of their games are play for prizes/tickets. Great for kids, not so much for adults. As for the arcade games. Variety in the types of games was limited. On top of that about 1/2 of the games are entirely in Japanese. Nearly impossible to read the instructions or figure out how to navigate through the main menus. Some of those games even have hints/clues/instructions during game play and leave you underplaying the game because you don't know what it is they're trying to say. I honestly don't know how you open an entertainment business in the USA, targeted to an american demographic and have things entirely in Japanese. Now out of the remaining games that were in English. A majority of them were either disrepair, broken or malfunctioning. The Photo booths that they have along the one wall are extremely creepy as well. One look at them and you see why. To conclude; If you want to experience the crappy, over priced Japanese knock off version of Dave n' Busters with bad food, bad service, broken games and a disappointing bar. Then this is the place for you. As for me and my friends. We will never be attending this place again. read more

Had a good experience but the rating has to be a 1 just because of the terrible prices and stupid rules. Everything is so expensive but at least the staff try to help you out as much as possible. I lost my card that I had just bought but a staff member, don't remember his name but he had an accent, was able to recover my card. While I was struggling to understand how the crane machines worked, a guy named Chris came up to me and helped me to understand. Went on weekend at opening time with my 12 yo son. I had read reviews indicating that the staff was rude, machines poorly kept, and ufo catchers unfairly packed. Due to this, I had significant trepidation about driving over 2 hours to go here. I was happy to find our overall experience was very different. Yes, two of the ufo catchers I tried did not function despite taking my credits but the others worked well and my son walked away very happy with 5 very nice Japanese plushies. I did find the cost of coming here was high, spent at least twice of what DB would cost but the selection of games was much bigger and the Japanese machines and prizes were unique and worth the drive and splurge. read more

I was really excited to go to this place for this first time yesterday, but as so many other reviews have stated, it's a let down. From start to finish this place just kept one-upping itself with bad experiences. So let's start from the beginning... PRO - There's direct access to the building from the parking garage. That's awesome because it's next to impossible to find parking out front. CON - Once you get in you have to wait in line to get in line to bowl, play darts, etc. CON -Once your it's your time to bowl, etc. they send you a text. The only problem is that the building doesn't have cellphone service so you're never going to get that text. CON - As of right now they don't accept American Express, Citadel, or Capital One cards... I've never had any other establishment not accept my citadel card. CON - We got 1 hot dog and some fries take took about 15 minutes to prepare. CON - It didn't seem like the bartenders had any idea what they were doing. It seemed like a first night on the job and they had no awareness of who had been standing at the bar for 15 minutes vs. someone who just walked up. CON - Once you get your food and drink there's not enough places to sit. There's a ton of space but it seems like they just skimped out on buying tables or seats. So you'll be standing with your cafeteria tray balancing your drinks. CON - Around 1/4 of the fountain drinks were out of order. CON - There was a group of us in the ping pong area with food and drinks, but there's only a bartop table for each of the 3 ping pong tables. It would be so easy to just put in a continuous counter along the wall. CON - When you play ping pong they give you a 1 star ball... Anyone who plays ping pong knows the huge difference in quality between the stars on the ball. I use 1 star balls for beer pong... not actually playing ping pong. CON - At night they close off the entrance to the parking garage so no one can come in or out. We even asked someone who asked a manager if we could get out there and they rudely told us no. That pro at the beginning? Now a con. You have to walk all the way around the building to get back to that (what was a) convenient parking spot. At night that's certainly a safety hazard as the walkway is dimly lit and it is along the street. I went on a Friday night so maybe it's just a little more chaotic then. But I won't be going back to this place for a long time. 2/15/17 Update - There was a video circulating on Facebook of a technician servicing the claw machines here. The video shows the tech. stapling down some of the plush animals. The person filming asked why he was doing that and he said it was his job. Just be forewarned... 11/27/18 Update - Just played games this time. It seems like they've figured a few things out, but a lot of the games are out of order. Decided to take my little brother here whilst babysitting. Safe to say I am SHOOK. First off, the place was so overwhelming and confusing it was like a maze to find the front desk. When approaching the desk I had assumed that someone would greet me and let me know how the pricing works. But instead, the man just stared at me with dead eyes until I said something to him. We decided to do a game of bowling but there was a waitlist so we decided to play some games. I paid money for a card and though the staff was aware their "systems were down" and the games were not working. They still sold me a card anyway? What is that? There are also some strange people in there that made me and my brother uncomfortable. The bowling was fine but why do they say they're a bowling alley when they only have 12 scrunched up lanes. I wasn't able to scrounge up any socks and could not find a person to ask about them so I played in flip flops! I don't recommend coming here the staff (expect one cashier) were all incompetent and rude. read more

Great place with a ton of fun games.... when everything works. Went on a Saturday night and there was a major glitch with charging credit cards (all the kiosks were down and took 30 min to get a refill on my card). An hour later, most of the games were out of order and the ones that weren't had trouble reading our card - if you re-swiped right away they took off double the credits, which left us with empty cards very quickly. The line for the game cards was around the corner so we ended up just leaving. They need to learn to deal with these issues that come up in a more efficient manner. read more

To anyone that is thinking about remotely going here, change your destination instantly. This place was a complete waste of time and took almost an hour just to receive a refund from the under-managed, rude management team. Machines and such are nice but the people and management are completely un-called for. We arrived at 9:40 PM and a security guard "claimed" to have seen one of the other teenagers an hour before the rest of us arrived (we had a group of ten). This however was completely false and had no relevance to what we even came there for. The security guard told us that teenagers we're not allowed to be alone without parental vision after 10 PM when on the front door outside it clearly says 12 AM. All management we talked to gave us a hard time about everything and weren't kind about anything they said. This security guard that claimed to see one of us before the rest arrived had no proof other than he said, "I have 20-20 vision, it's my job to watch everything... We can't view the cameras in this building but that's not necessary because I am the camera for this establishment." This clearly has no logic embedded in it as well as the management lying straight to the customers face just to try and prove a point that they clearly know they are losing to. If you God forbid go to this place, know that the customer is never right because the "human camera" is always watching you and misinforming their customers about completely false information to increase they're own reputation as a lone security guard. read more

But then the game only went to six frames and the light at the end of the lane shut out... so we speak to an associate and they come over and start talking to us and it was okay. Then the associate gets the manager and he comes over and threatens to kick us out cause we weren't cooperating with him. All we wanted to do was play... so they kick us out cause it was 12 o'clock and they were like well if ur not passed the age limit u have to leave anyway, which was so dumb! read more

I went to this place yesterday for the first time. It was the worst experience ever! There was 3 of us and it cost 15 dollars each for 90 min. They put us on a lane to bowl and the pins kept going up and down and we bowled once and the ball ended up hitting the barrier because it went down while bowling. 12 minutes past so we got help they moved us to another lane . That lane didn't work also. At this point I went to the counter to explain our frustion. they then proceeded to tell me yeah we have to move you to a different lane. They wouldn't give us minutes back and by this point it was 25 min over from when we started to try to bowl. we asked for our money back. Manager came and gave us a hard time saying we damaged the lane from the first lane they had us on. I explained what happend and if they were so concerned with us damaging property why would they have us continue to bowl on not one but 3 different lanes. Not ready for Prime Time! I took a chance and brought 15 people here for a Holiday Celebration. We were so disappointed in the poor service, we left to go somewhere for dinner. The credit card machines didn't work, so I couldn't even pay with my Corporate Card. They were out of a lot of food items in the kitchen. Everyone seemed annoyed to be having to work the Thursday night before New Years Eve. Bowling was over a two hour wait. I wish there was a way to give a review of zero stars. Me and a few friends decided to check the place out for bowling an few days after it opened. When we arrived we went up to the counter and were very confused by the pricing, after asking several employees to explain they all responded the same telling us to read the sign. Still confused, but wanting to bowl we put our names in and were told it was a 45 min wait, but only half the lanes were in use. We agreed to wait so we sat down near by and just hung out waiting on the text that it was our turn. After waiting an hour and a half we still had not be called, we went up to the counter to see when it was our turn. We were told, "oh we didn't see you, so we moved on" I was very surprised they skipped us as we were sitting within feet of the desk and we were expecting a text. We asked if we could be put on next, but they said the system doesn't work that way and we would have to wait again. We requested to speak with a manger, who allowed us to go next but did not seem to care about the situation. We finally got to bowl, and were placed next to a group of obnoxious drunk people. We tried to ignore it, knowing this wasn't really Round 1s fault. But they should limit the amount of drinks a person can buy, this was in the evening several children were near by. Just a few minutes into our game our lane stopped working, we hit the call for assistance button and waited for an employee. 15 minutes later and still no help. At this point we just wanted to finish our game and leave we were all frustrated with the service. After finally getting someone to come over they said our lane was broke and they could not fix it. We asked for our money back so we could leave. Apparently that is not in their policy, so if we wanted our moneys worth we would have to wait for a lane to be empty so we could be switched over. At this point the manager was beginning to be rude to us and not caring about our frustrations. The staff are rude and unhelpful, prices and policy are ridiculous neither me or my friends will ever be returning. It was such a waste of our money and time. Will never go back. The actual place is awesome. Lots to do and as many diff arcade games that ive ever seen. At least 3 that i saw were not in working order tho but im sure you will have this. Its SUPER expensive. For $20 you can get 80 credits but each game costs 4-8 credits it goes super fast. Games are also pretty stingy you dont get mant tickets unless u hit the jackpot. The worst part of last night was how long we waited at the bar for a pitcher of beer. After being looked over many times i finally gave up and made someone else stand in. I understand it saturday night and busy but it was ridiculous. Waited 2o mins for an overpriced pitcher of beer. Staff is not trained to bartend obviously. Maybe hire some people who know how to give service at a bar. Which i might add only serves beer and no liquor. All the lines were long and moving painfully slow. I wish you could give zero stars. One star for this place is too nice of a rating. The bowling staff extremely incompetent; to the point of ruining your experience. Bowling lane repeatedly broke which extended one game to almost a painful hour (don't pay for the hourly rates). We paid for two games for four people and when our second game started we were told that we already played two games. After asking for the manager, I saw the manager talk for ten minutes at the counter about our issue and sent a different employee to handle it instead of himself. I was told that I had ordered two games for two people. Ummm no...the cashier rang us up incorrectly. How is that my fault? When I went to the manager the only reaction was to correct me when I said I made a reservation vs. put my name on a waiting list. I was then told that it was the inexperience of his employees that were the issue. Thanks Chris!...for your inability to manage issues that arise or your employees. Not really sure what you get paid for. Also, the arcade games are old and eat credits. I will not be coming back here. read more
