So after hiking and exploring all day in Grand Mesa, we were starving for some good food. We decided burgers and looked up a few places and drove down to get some burgers. We always like the small town vibe and feel and this was perfect. Order your burger and pick from like a "thousand toppings" and then they make it fresh for you and fresh fries as well. And, the restaurant is located inside The Shop Automotive and Tire. Seriously something for everyone! It is open Monday through Friday only 7:30 - 6:30 for breakfast and lunch. They use local meats from a processing company down the road (Homestead Meats in Delta). They use fresh beef and locally made sausages. Everything is built to order (toppings are free and there is quite a list!). Besides burgers, hotdogs, and sausages, they make a Portobello mushroom sandwich, a grilled cheese and a BLT. You can also get a salad and you can add chili and cheese to your dog. But - cutting to the chase - POTATOES! They make amazing fries - fresh cut!! Fried in peanut oil. And, if you are looking for something unique - RIBBON FRIES. Like potato chips, curly fries and the best french fry had a love child. You can get them loaded - but they are so good plain. You can enjoy the real potato taste and they are sprinkled with some very tasty seasoning. Gotta do it. Matt at the grill was great. My two other buddies arrived early for coffee, basic coffee that isn't called by any other designer name, and a bite to eat. A huge breakfast burrito for only $7 and change; what's not to like? It was filled with cheese, hash browns, meat (choose: sausage, ham, bacon), peppers from end to end. The place is not a fou-fou coffee shop. It's the real deal. Matt bought us all coffee that day after the 4th of July, the guy is a saint! Lunch is served up any time you want it, not relegated to certain hours. Has a drive up window to pick up phoned in orders. Yep, this is part of a garage but don't let that stop you. I live by the "no eating at a gas station restaurant" rule but this place isn't like that. Yes, you can get your tires rotated while eating fries or you can sit on their amazing hidden patio in the back. A Tru hole in the wall! My husband and I stopped for a Navajo Taco, unfortunately they were sold out :( but we tried the burgers and ribbon fries and fried pickle!! It was beyond delicious! We pass by this place thousands of times but finally stopped and we will definitely stop again!! read more

I was in the mood for a good burger, but had heard different things from different people around town about this place, so I decided to try it myself and find out, and I was certainly pleased! The wait for the food was a little long, but I never mind waiting for good food! I could tell that everything was fresh and made-to-order. Their menu is a neat concept that I really liked, you could choose as many toppings as you would like for no extra charge. I had a burger with two kinds of cheese, lettuce, and grilled mushrooms. It was so delicious, and I am not very easy to impress. Since moving here, I have found it difficult to find a decent local restaurant, but this one is amazing. The french fries are also house-made and do not disappoint. They have this little station so you can season things to your taste with a wide variety of condiments and seasonings. The restaurant itself is a little small, and there are only a few tables, it is also attached to a mechanic shop, but this is just about the only setback. They offer take-out, so if there isn't any seating available it's not that big or a deal. Overall, very pleased! read more

I am very disappointed with their customer service. My sister and I used to frequent this restaurant because we enjoyed their hamburgers despite getting one once that was well undercooked and always having to wait at least 45 minutes for our food. The very first time I ate there, they had honey mustard for their fries, so the second time when they were no longer carrying it I suggested they bring it back, my sister also suggested bringing in malt vinegar for the fries since this restaurant's fries were so similiar to 5 Guys, again just friendly suggestions, coming from paying customers trying to help a small town business. Well we hadn't eaten there in a while so tonight we decided to order food to go. We looked on their fb page to see how late they were open, it said 7:30 (the time was changed after this conversation took place ) so I asked my sister to call and double check. When she did, she politely asked if they were open until 7:30 and the lady said no. So again my sister very politely said that, that is what their fb page said and "suggested" they change it. The lady practically yelled at her that they were open until 6:30 and hung up before my sister could even attempt to order anything. She called back to speak to a manager and was told no one was there and then the woman proceeded to tell my sister how rude she was. After the conversation my sister wrote a review on their page and I am only assuming it was the owner who responded calling my sister "whiny" said she was throwing a "hissy fit" and that she was an "unhappy" person, amongst other things to the point of having my sister in tears. This was immature and unacceptable. I will never eat there again and if you choose too I recommend never making a suggestion. read more
