Stopped here on way into Paonia. What a find! One of the best burgers and food I've found in awhile in a remote little place. The hamburger was so FRESH! The buns were the softest, freshest hamburger buns ever! The pickles lettuce and tomatoes were very fresh! Ordered onion rings and fries. 5 stars on both. Super fresh, tasty and HOT! Good God you Americans and your acceptance of lukewarm food. Drives me crazy. These fries haven't been sitting around like McDonalds. No! They're hot and crunchy but soft inside. They are the best fries in Delta County. I normally get whatever the special is on the chalkboard. I like their patty melt, but pretty much everything is good. Not overwhelmed by their tortilla soup, but hey - It's CO not TX, it''s not their fault, they just don't know better. Git you sum. Oh the lighting is just a little too much, too bright. And the decor. Well it's lovely isn't it? A bit eclectic, but there you are. And the font is wrong on the sign. God. Stop. There were more options on the menu than I had expected from the name of this place. I had a crispy chicken salad and my companions tried a variety of hamburger options. All of it was very good. The jalapeño poppers were also quite nice - not too spicy, but still very flavorful. The gal who took our order at the counter was very capable and friendly. The food came out in a decent amount of time (cooked to order). The dining room was clean with an open feel. We would happily dine here again when we next pass through Hotchkiss. read more

This is one of those restaurants that's so unassuming!! Yet, the beef IS fresh, I personally say my burger made from a large fresh batch of ground beef! I had the chili burger and it was huge and de-lic-ious!! I upgraded to the curly fries and they are very good but no special shaker seasoning. I got to meet the owner, (FYI, A WOMAN OWN BUSINESS!) Melissa and she was genuinely concerned with experience, input and thoughts on the food. One thing that I would note, if your new to fresh hamburgers, it appears they use lean meat, so it's much better for you and less fat... that does translate to a lot healthier and looks "drier" but kicks the heck out of anything forming out of the back of a restaurant deliver truck with frozen meat. They also serve ice cream and shakes. I didn't try because I was so full but it looked like a desert I won't pass up in the future!! Come give it try and leave your input... We were touring the City of Hotchkiss, where my mother-in-law grew up - her home, high school, etc. We stopped at 133 Burger, what a gem!! We had 9 people in our group, the food was fresh, and tasty. I wished I had caught the young lady's name at the counter, as all too often when a large group walks in, you see it on the employees' faces. Not this young lady, the service was warm, and accommodating. Would definitely stop there again, HIGHLY recommend. Thank you!! read more

A little burger spot in the side of the road. They've got malts, shakes, different types of burgers, chicken, and more. The service is so-so, it takes a little time to order especially at high noon. But they're quick to get you your food, and they're polite. I thought the burgers were great, but my company thought different. read more

this is a basic burger and hotdog shop. My 1/4 lb. Mushroom and cheese burger was over cooked with the juices gone and skimpy mushrooms and tasteless cheese. The burger was served with all condiments on the burger ,not on the side. This restaurant has only been open a month and I'm sure the menu will be adjusted as they get comments from their customers. I've been here several times and have NEVER received what I ordered. They ask you what you would like on your burger and then give you something else. They can't seem to deliver a burger without mustard or salt, even when asked specifically to omit those items. They often forget the lettuce and tomato you ask for, and always omit the mayo. This place was amazing! The bacon cheese burger was delicious as were the sweet potato fries and their special sauce (mayo, ketchup, and thousand island)! Um, yes please! It was also cute and convenient with very friendly and fast service! Even their side salads rocked! I also loved that their menu was hand drawn on butcher paper. Going in and ordering at a window before finding a table and having your food brought to you made it quick and easy! I loved not having to wait for a waiter to order but also not having to go up to the counter to pick up my meal- quick and easy. And the staff and atmosphere were great! A couple of tips for the burgers. Don't press the patties so hard there is no juice left. Dry patties. My husband and I ordered the 1/4# bacon cheeseburger and they must have given me the child's patty because it was about half the size of his, both were dry. Second suggestion is to find buns that actually fit the burgers. There was so much bun that we both had to cut off about a third of the bun. Third suggestion is to change the oil for the onion rings more often. My husband got his and they were so overdone, because of old oil, he had to remove the coating to even try the onions. They were ok, good place for families I guess as there were kids running around everywhere and there was on little girl who was playing in the men's toilet with her hands and splashing it all over the walls........ read more
