I also watched the work so hard, and they even cleaned up the street and stray debris from other yards!! Because of that, I had two trees removed by them from my own yard. My subdivision hired this company in 2019 to redo the front of our subdivision. Communication with…read morethem has been poor. I left a review at that time, was contacted by a manager and was asked to remove review and took care of our issue. Since then, a few of the plants have died and upon asking if there was a warranty we were told there was. We requested in June 2020 for the dead plants to be replaced and sent pictures. We never heard back. Reached out to Correy again and he assured us there would be a crew out the week of 6/22/2020. Needless to say, as of today, 7/31/2020, no crew, no replaced shrubs, and zero communication from this company. I do not recommend this company whatsoever. For the amount of money charged for the work, it is subpar, as well as the customer service is incredibly disappointing. We have five cul-de-sacs in our subdivision and have opted to use someone else so not to create the headache of trying to get them to communicate, follow through, and trying to get the work right. Our subdivision tries to use contractors in our own community, but feel it is well worth going outside of our community for a good company.

He explained what he'd do, gave me a verbal quote (it was a lot, but I had asked for a lot, and it didn't seem higher than it should be), took a few days to write it up, and returned with a written quote to review. While he hadn't captured our entire conversation on the quote, our continued discussion made me feel comfortable enough to proceed. I was not disappointed. He and his crew cut down a 50- to 60-foot hedge, ground it so it wouldn't return, trimmed up some trees, cut back and cleaned out some other bushes, cleaned up growth along my fence line, removed some landscaping stone (a lot more than either of us expected, as there was a ton in the hedge), removed a whiskey barrel planter, and told me how to take care of my mom's 55-year-old rose bush. The crew worked so hard, and the result was perfect. He added no charges for the surprise landscaping stone, and I was thankful. I recommend Southfork Tree, especially because Doug is hands-on. It's not one guy giving you a quote and hiring some other guys to do the work without supervision. You don't have to wonder if everything was communicated, because he's there, working the whole time. If he has questions, he asks. He doesn't assume. If you have questions, he's there to answer them. He makes sure it looks great. Because I know some companies use foreign companies or AI to write bogus reviews, I want to say this work was done in August 2026 on Peachwood Trail in South St. Louis County in St. Louis, Mo. (Oakville to be specific).

Doug and his son took down a very large sweet gum tree in our backyard. They were successful in removing the gigantic dead limb from a separate tree that loomed over the carport, as well as getting rid of shrubbery roots underneath so I could build my fence. They were kind enough to haul away all of the yard waste, but left me some good cut wood to burn in my fire pit. All of this hard work was done within just a couple weeks after I reached out during a busy holiday season, and at a very reasonable price.
