You will be treated right by this company! We had storm damage to two 70 ft trees which had to be taken down to the ground. Doug gave us a written bid for the scope of work and we accepted. He showed up with his crew and they took care of this enormous undertaking of cutting down and removing all of the debris from these two old trees. He also had all of the necessary heavy duty equipment to do this job! They were also mindful to take care of the yard as the heavy equipment needed to get to the backyard for the job! Doug and his son took down a very large sweet gum tree in our backyard. It was too close to our house, the neighbors house, and numerous other large trees, but that did not stop this crew from an efficient removal. They were successful in removing the gigantic dead limb from a separate tree that loomed over the carport, as well as getting rid of shrubbery roots underneath so I could build my fence. They were kind enough to haul away all of the yard waste, but left me some good cut wood to burn in my fire pit. All of this hard work was done within just a couple weeks after I reached out during a busy holiday season, and at a very reasonable price. Doug and his crew are great! I have used him once for an emergency, on very large limb that fell down and then recently to take down a very large tree in my backyard. Doug and this company is great! We have used them twice now in emergency situations. First, was after a storm knocked half of our tree onto our roof and power lines. Doug came out immediately at 11pm and cleared everything safely. Second, was after wind blew down a large branch onto our fence. He came out the same day and had the branch cleaned up within hours. We ended up hiring him to take the rest of the tree down and his company worked quickly and finished the job the very next day. He even trimmed a branch on another tree in our yard that he noticed was dying just to be nice since it was over our driveway and could have fallen on our car eventually. Did not do what he said he would. He came in the evening and left after dark so I could not see the big limbs he left.I told he I had no way to cut those limbs. I am very unhappy but he did do the right job on my one tree. read more

Thank goodness for Southfork Tree's 24/7 emergency service!! When I had a tree fall through my roof in the middle of the night, Doug kept a bad situation from getting way worse. He answered right away, came quickly (again, this was legitimately the middle of the night), and did a great job taking care of the immediate problem and tarping the roof. Then he came back the next day - when he had planned to have a day off - to remove the rest of the tree, expertly avoiding more damage despite the position of the fallen tree. Mr. Alsip clearly has many years of experience in his profession and he and his crew cut our large backyard tree down with great care and thought. Southfork was super helpful, quick, and worth every dollar. This was just for a trimming above my house and they came out very shortly after I called to see what needed to be done. Southfork trimmed 1 Maple and 3 Pin Oak trees. Doug has made them beautiful again. I was ready to chop them down but he has opened up our view, made the trees healthier, removed limbs close to the house and away from the street traffic. I am truly amazed at how nice the trees look now. Doug has an artistic talent that only comes from wanting to do a good job and to please his customers. Doug and his crew are hard workers and pleasant to work with. They also have a 50+ foot lift that can get through a standard fence gate. Southfork Tree and Landscaping provided the best service I have received from any business working on my property. I recommend them 100% to anyone who needs any tree and/or landscaping work, and I do so without any hesitation because Mr. Alsip and his crew are extremely hard working, smart, honest, dependable, and treat you and your property with respect. Mr. Alsip removed a 63 year old maple tree that uprooted in our yard around 2:30 A.M. Doug Alsip called me within 20 minutes after making an emergency call to him at 3 A.M. He arrived promptly to assess the situation and provided me with reasonable options and even offered to bend out the gutter damage that occurred when a different tree branch fell on the roof weeks earlier since I told him I was having trouble getting the contractor I hired to fix the damage to come out and repair it. He wrote up a precise work order in the rain, during 30 degree weather for me. The next day, every single piece of the massive tree vanished, and Doug's team made sure that my neighbors who had debris from my tree was cleared as well. There was zero damage to my yard because the tools used to remove the massive tree were appropriate for the large task. The crew even cleaned my neighbor's debris that he saw laying in her yard because he wanted to help her out--and he did that out of the goodness of his heart. Within a day after the tree was hauled away, I had the massive hole left from the uprooted tree filled and repaired with sod and seed that matched my lawn perfectly.
