Once inside, the store is packed with new and used books and comics from all genres. Additionally, they sell media like records, board games, notecards, stickers, bookmarks, magnets, pins, t-shirts, plushies, mugs, and coasters. There's a cat named Spooky who reigns over everything. The shelves are clearly labeled, and I imagine the capable staff can locate anything you ask for. The friendly cashier even gave me a free bookmark and told me the story about Spooky.

Some sound barriers, acoustic panels, or better room separation would make a huge difference. I also wish the store had a clearer focus. They seem to be trying to do a little bit of everything, but some areas feel underdeveloped. They are not really a strong destination for comics; the miniature painting supplies are limited, the other items need better category separation, and the TTRPG offerings could be stronger. Their Sunday D&D one-shots also sell out quickly, and they have in-store gaming waiting lists, which shows there is demand, but not enough space or availability. Pricing can also be on the high side for certain items compared to other options. The store is expanding, which could be a great opportunity. However, I hope the expansion improves the actual play experiences and gives more attention to TTRPG events, sound control, and product focus. More space alone will not solve the issue if the store continues trying to cover too many categories without doing any one of them especially well.

I was amazed at the amount of merchandise for Magic and Pokémon. After looking around for half an hour, I asked one of the employees if any of the cards behind the display cases were for sale, he had to price them out, but was willing to pull any out that interested me. I had him pull out my grail - an EX/NM 1st Edition Dark Charizard from Base Rocket and he gave me $50. I decided it was too good to pass up and he rang it up for me. The experience with the great prices and relaxed atmosphere will have me checking out the Mason location very soon.
